Can we look into the brain with Healer's Vision?
I'd like to know if there's a tadpole, or a tumor, or anything else visible.

If we want to go full paranoia we could kill her and revive her with Breath of Life. @DragonParadox That should end most mind-affecting spell and most curses, being dead for a bit, right?

I'm tempted to simply bottle each of them so we can arrange a more thorough exam under properly controlled conditions.

@Goldfish this work?
[X] Explain that you are about to do a more thorough magical examination of Jeyne to make certain she was unharmed by the Deep One. Ask her to first remove her protective talisman. We do not want it's aura to interfere with our examination.
-[X] Viserys casts Divine Insight, Grand Destiny using Greater Shadow Enchantment, Greater Arcane Vision, and Blood Wishes a Healer's Vision spell, then uses a charge from his ring to gain a +2 Dispelling bonus and Wild Arcana to cast a Targeted Greater Dispel Magic spell on Jeyne (total Dispelling bonus of +22, further modified by his Eldritch Breach Mythic power). He looks for anything out of the ordinary, including hidden magic that resisted his Dispelling, as well as unusual biological alterations or additions, using Divine Insight and Grand Destiny charges to brute Force his Heal check. Repeat this procedure on Roger. [X] [Subtle use of Magics to check for various ingrained traps and whatnot, to be determined by people who actually know how to flex access to 8th circle spells]
-[X] While working your magic, accept Jeynes's offer to keep her calm, and ask Roger how he fits into all of this.
-[X] Assuming everything is on the up and up, offer to take them under your care, research what happened to her, and provide them with funds and support. No strings attached beyond making sure that Jeynes is safe and sane. If they want to do more things within your Service, that can wait until they're settled in more and we've done rudimentary research on this alternative method to tell reality to sit down and shut up while the caster is working.

Five stages of ASWaH Planning.

Unexpected Boon > Mild Paranoia > Comprehensive Plan > Extreme Heightened Maximized Paranoia > Combat Buff Suite

I'm getting very suspicious that the Mind Flayer found out about our standing employment offer after rooting through Jeyne's memories, then it did something to awaken her psionics after implanting her with plenty of unconscious agendas and then set the "Reyne" to be her minder (either making Reyne unknowingly in service of the Deep Ones or a very good actor). And then the Elder Brain proceeds to sacrifice the Mind Flayer there to sell the ruse. What's one Mind Flayer compared to getting a mole into Viserys' court?

Maybe? Normally what happens is their brains are harvested and quickly fed to the Elder Brain, and it doesn't usually commission a resurrection even if it could find a willing cleric.
Probably, if the brain wasn't already taken by the Elder Brain. We know that Undead mechanics apply to them as well, so resurrection should as well (kinda strange then that the Elder Brain wouldn't keep a resurrection spell on standby).

It would, but my paranoia is flaring up something fierce.

Here is what I'm leaning toward.

[X] Telepathically inquire of Varys how many minds she detects within Roger and Jeyne, and whether either seems particularly alien in nature. Unless her results are alarming, continue as follows;
-[X] Ask Jeyne and Roger to remain calm and to cooperate with us for their own safety. We will not harm them, but the Deep Ones are insidious creatures who have attempted to use subterfuge against us in the past where brute force and magical power would not suffice. We must make certain their minds and bodies have not been tampered with in some manner without their knowledge. While this is going on, Varys activates all of her magical talismans.
-[X] Explain that we are going to place them in magical stasis for a short time while we transport them to a location where we can safely examine them without fear of Deep One interference.
-[X] If they agree, use Blood Wish to place each of them in Smoky Confinement bottles. If they do not agree, do it anyway, targeting Jeyne first while Varys keeps Roger occupied.
-[X] Once they are bottled, Viserys gathers Richard, Dany, Malarys, Lya, and Vee, then travels to the Snare. First Jeyne, then Roger are examined. They are divested of any magical talismans before being examined.
--[X] He casts Divine Insight, Grand Destiny using Greater Shadow Enchantment, Greater Arcane Vision, and Blood Wishes a Healer's Vision spell, then uses a charge from his ring to gain a +2 Dispelling bonus and Wild Arcana to cast a Targeted Greater Dispel Magic spell on Jeyne (total Dispelling bonus of +22, further modified by his Eldritch Breach Mythic power). He looks for anything out of the ordinary, including hidden magic that resisted his Dispelling, as well as unusual biological alterations or additions, using Divine Insight and Grand Destiny charges to brute Force his Heal check. Vee conducts a similar exam, using buffs and imbued spells as necessary.
--[X] Throughout the process, Varys closely monitors them Telepathically and Malarys picks through their thoughts using Brain Spider, if it is deemed safe.

I think it's got to do with their culture.

Mind Flayers believe that the Elder Brain is actually a collective hive mind of all former Mind Flayers, rather than being the thing that dominates and controls all of them. This is why they try to rush their brains to it after they die, and if it's too late and rot has set in the entire thing needs to be thrown out. It's a practice that the entire culture revolves around.

Starting to resurrect Mind Flayers -- even if the Elder Brain could given that it's a divine spell -- would mess with that image.

Also we need to ask Yss if this is a Deep One plot.

And we are using Touch of History to know what actually happened that day she was attacked.

I'll indulge that paranoia.
