...I've overslept such a nice discussion, damn.

I'd like to have a talk with Yss before deciding what to do with the orb.

Why?
Because I have a feeling, that with it in tow, we might just be able to resurrect Meraxes (the deity), hopefully without connection to 15th (if there is one).
Yss is a deity of rebirth, after all.

For bonus points, visit KL again and steal the rest of Meraxes' (the dragon) skeleton and have it be a base to build an avatar from.
I'm betting on that having some neat narrative connections for Merry.

Edit: Side note, the "all dragons will hate you"-clause of the orb makes me want to use it on principle, just because the fluff dares to stand in the way.

We're going to be talking to Yss anyway, but I seriously doubt it will be this easy, even with the orb as a sacrifice. We'll need to deal with the 15th before we consider bringing any of the Fourteen back.

Comparatively, getting Yss back to life was way cheaper, than this Orb is worth.
Nor was Meraxes completely forgotten like he was.

I'm pretty sure resurrecting her is fully in our capabilities.
Doing so without a connection to the 15th, howewer... Yeah, there might be a need for a hefty sacrifice to go along with it.

The problem is that destroying the orb set the dragon free, we can't destroy it until we have a plan to subdue or kill the dragon.

Yeah if we want non-red dragons, we will have to see if we can bribe Relath, to breed with any female Valyrian dragons.

Or see if we can steal Tiamat's aging ritual for dragons, age the Blue Wyrmling up, and get it to breed with Valyrian dragons.

Relath has been breeding with humans, so clearly he has nothing against interspecies sex, we don't know if he would have any problems with sex with non-sapients.

And we can always go with artificial insemination, I'm sure we can figure out how to inseminate a Female Valyrian dragon, with a sample of Relaths seed, and that wouldn't involve him having to have sex with it.

Did you forget? DP has said that we can't just feed it to Yss, the orb is a prison, and the way such a prison work when sacrificed, is that first you have to sacrifice the prison, setting the prisoner free, and then you have to wrangle the prisoner into being sacrificed.

So basically we can't sacrifice the orb, as sacrificing the orb set the dragon free, as while the orb is powered by the dragon, the dragon isn't actually part of the orb.

Feeding it to Yss result in him eating the orb, and the dragon being freed, then we have to capture the dragon, before we can feed it to Yss.

Actually now I like this idea, I want to see if Relath will sell us a sample of his seed, and then artificially impregnate, any of the Valyrian dragons we resurrect that's female, in hope of getting a Metallic dragon egg, the Church of Bahamut has been looking for Metallics for Millenia without success, if we got ahold of an egg, we would be able to sell it to them for an absolute fortune.
