Hmm as far as I know they don't have breath weapons? They are our flame throwers. They create some really nasty shit for the enemy, but if their payload gets pierced the beast and rider and everyone around it gets fucked.
The dragon has the bombing run napalm like attack that is available 1d4 rounds? And by bombing run I mean an cone like area.

Not at all. Darkenbeasts are excellent support especially given their numbers, but Valyrian Dragons still outclass them in terms of size, speed, and damage via breathweapons.

Flying islands are pretty terrible from an economics perspective. All of a sudden you have it impossible for traders without flying ships to reach the Stepstones. We don't want that sort of limitation on our economy, especially since this would cripple Sorcerer's Deep. Not to mention the strategic hazard in the event that magic is ever turned off. A falling island kills everyone on it.
Also, the Old Gods? They will not like their weirwoods being uprooted, I can promise you that.

Basically I noticed we still haven't gotten around to preparing for the deep ones conflict, or Tiamats... everything.
I had some ideas for hiring some mercenaries to pad out our sub nautical army, and one specific adventurer in mind for Tiamat.

Yes, but at the very least it wouldn't be an automatic death sentence for everyone in our capital if we make sure not to have a flying island capital city.

No, Sunfyre is very much a Feral Red Dragon. All Valyrian Dragons are Feral Red Dragons. There are no surprise!metallics among them. The coloration is pure coincidence.

The cannisters don't break. They are just for storage and dispense the payload when triggered while staying attached to the barding.
And anything strong enough to pierce the cannisters could kill the rider or Darkenbeast anyway, so the point is moot.
