Important question, where do we want to let the expedition sail?

The usual way would be through the Jade Gate, which is entirely controlled and heavily tolled by Quarth. However, we didn't exactly make ourselves many friends in that area, what with raiding their shipping and Qarth having certainly no interest in us of all people making it to Yi-Ti.

The other route goes through the Cinnamon Straits south of Greater Moraq. We could make a stop in Port Moraq, Vahar and Zhabad while we are at it. We didn't make any enemies in that area so far, but the route is a bit longer. Would allow us to go a long way around the Ghiscari and the Qarthene though.

I would love to go to the Cinnamon Straits. Gimme all the spices.

Also, can we make a small stop at the Isle of Elephants? I want a dozen for the Menagerie.

I was actually thinking of the end to the Baela research.
Adding Fire Whale gems to our trade goods.
@Azel, add some Bulubar too, so that they can repair the ships on the go. If we add plenty of scrolls, we can keep some in reserve to prevent a sinking, and have them repair it, and even add to the fleet's numbers so we can carry even more trade goods back, to make more money.
Added a few Bulabar and shipwrights, though the Leshies can do most of the repairs with Shape Wood.

That's the island that Zhabad is on.

By the way, all the VS blades should also be Hardened.

Show them how good the blades are by smashing a regular steel sword apart with them, without the VS taking even a scratch in the process.

I would like a chance to visit the Isle of Elephants in person, by the way. I want to go in, negotiate trade deals with the ruler, then walk out with a dozen or more bottled elephants.

Hell, if we do really well, we can get an ACSEC post on the island.
I was under the impression that Valyrian steel already did that or is that not the case?
It should. While it isn't basically a lightsaber like adamantine is, it still absolutely destroys regular metals.

@Azel
Maybe give them our dragonbane Spear. Just in case, not like we need it.

[x] Azel

By the original class, yes, but I'm suspecting that DP has modified that class feature to have it be able to force dragons from dragon form to human form. Otherwise, what was even the point of the Valyrians developing a weapon like this? Why even have this ability develop in the rebellion if all it does is keep the dragons in their most dangerous form?
Still good against infiltrators and such.
Just not a weapon in battle.

¯\_(ツ)_/¯

When it was introduced, the first IC assumption that everyone came to was that it was used as a trump card against True Reds.
Yes, from someone who never met a Red, from a period long after most of the knowledge about dragons was supressed.

It would have been a good weapon against a maxed-out Dragonblooded, if it can change that one to his human form (we should check that with Malarys, we can make a simple test) and those were propably closer than any born Reds to his time period.

By RAW, VS weapons have a hardness of 14 (10 steel, +4 from the +2 bonus), making it viable to cut apart a steel sword with them.

By hardening them, we can raise it to hardness 21. Meaning even Adamantine won't be able to cut it.

Mind you, VS lacks the "ignore hardness lower then 20" of Adamantine, so you still got to work to carve a sword apart, but we can genuinely tell people that the blade will never dull. They could bash it against a rock all day and the only thing they would get is gravel and sore arms.

@Duesal, what do you think of giving the Yi-Ti expedition a copy of our Celestial Lore?
It probably isn't worth a ton, but we can have ti sold as "the barest touch of the true libraries of Sorcerer's Deep" and imply that we're incredibly GOOD.
Either they'll love it, or they'll underestimate us when it comes to ruthless intrigue. Both are to our advantage.

An, I thought Open Minded was adding class skills.

It's wasteful, but not ally horrid a feat, it's essentially another maximized skill.
Open Minded is +5 skill ranks, which is nice (especially at her level). If she ever reaches high levels or gets massive Int-boosting, she can just retrain them into spellcasting feats.

Anyway, I don't expect this to matter. I mostly made the build as a speed challenge. Took me 4 minutes to think of it and type it all out!

So long as we buy out their entire libraries.

I for one love it and added it. As a personal gift to the Jade Emperor even.

Also asked Yrael if he has some people who would like to come along. I'm sure at least one or two of his Codex Archons would love to.

@Goldfish can quibble over available enchanter time then.

I'm still waiting until the wishlist gets a bunch of items added to it as he suddenly finds new things everyone needs. :V

Why else suggest to take the items off the front page?
I'm always on the hunt for new gear to make our people more effective!
You know... after looking at the full load-out of the expedition...

If we add a few Legionaires we could probably conquer a country or two with that fleet...

@Goldfish, how many Rise from the Deep scrolls do we have? The spell can also be used to keep a damaged ship from sinking and giving the cargo value, that's something very, very great to have.
We have three left over from last month and the scribing schedule has 20 more on it that will be ready before the expedition departs.
By the way, all the VS blades should also be Hardened.

This should go without saying. Every item produced in SD which could remotely benefit from being more durable should go through the Hardening Chamber.

You forgot the horse sized real dragon, the ship sized manta rays, the 8 small mechanical dragons, the fuck-huge fey warship, the batch of horse-sized fungus-dragons, the batch of horse sized fungus-wolves and the huge flock of creepy crows that stare at him the whole time.

Totally harmless traders. :V

what kind of value do we have on those ships?
1.5 Million IM, that direction?

I think an army to guard it is reasonable.
If you add equipment, ships, PC's and other stuff to it, yeah, around that. I didn't say that I think the measures are overblown, just we are a wee bit better armed then the usual trade fleets they would get from the west.

That being said, the reaction I'm hoping for:
"So the sailors didn't make shit up when they talked about you..."
