I didn't even think of it that way. Huh so does that mean lords who have ravens each have a set home location? Like this is the raven for Kings Landing or this raven is for Casterly Rock?
I don't think so, they used ravens too much in the original story for it to make sense. Stannis send ravens to every castle in Westeros twice, and I'm sure most didn't send him back their ravens.

I guess either these ravens are smarter and easier to train than pidgeons (entirely possible since they were used by the CotF as speaking messengers) or the Maesters have some old tricks to training them that worked even in Low Fantasy times.

But the "flying home" option is the minimum every messenger bird should be able to do.

I will say I love the idea of just using a divination on the raven to figure out its destination like @Crake suggested.

A nice and simple way to narrow down our suspects.

"I wasn't at first. I am merely here to give my best assessment of them and of whoever arranged the meeting. Three days from now I am to send a message with that of that by raven... I have one in my room you see, and then I was to receive further instructions as well as offers tailored to all the other guests. There was some mention in the correspondence of a meeting in person and someone from the Sunset Lands taking my place, wearing my face, but none of that is settled."
Well, now we have to make this in-person meeting happen. I really want to catch whoever is supposed to replace this girl, because they certainly will have the information she doesn't.

We also can and should divine everything relevant, but nothing ever gives as much information as a good interrogation.

Maybe we can try to manipulate the more problematic factions to throw their support behind the invasion? Don't we only want one of them left standing anyway?

Polymorph into the Raven and carry the message there. Then turn into a dragon to fuck with their heads!

"You thought it was a raven, but really it was me! Viserys Targaryen!"

I think most of these guys are too smart or knowledgeable to ever think the invasion has a snowball's chance in hell.
And yet there's a question of whether or not to resist our inevitable conquest. They might be smart enough not to follow the blind charge, but they're not immune to lesser stupidity... especially the ones who know they've got the most to lose when we take Lys.

KONO VISERYS DA!

EDIT:

USELESS! USELESS, USELESS, USELESS, USELESS, USELESS!

On steeds of shadow riding high above the pale light of torch and lantern, the six of you head to Great Wyk on what is to be your last task in the islands, at least for now. However, before the shore of that largest and supposedly second most prosperous of the Iron Isles can even be seen on the horizon, an unexpected voice reaches you.

"Maelor figured out how to move the Toad," Dany speaks in your mind. "Should it be sacrificed it in the Temple of the Sea or used it to help with the ironborn?"

Rushed though the message may be by the limitations of the spell, it is no less insightful for it. To sacrifice an idol of the Deep Ones in order to raise a weirwood here in the Iron Isles where their power runs strongest would send a mighty message, though perhaps too loud of a one.
Dismissing the notion as too provocative by half after only a few moments' thought, you call for Maelor to keep to the plan and be rid of the idol before its foul influence can spread. Lead might keep away the hateful whisper of tainted stone, but you would not make any wagers of it being able to contain something more purposeful.
@DragonParadox, this might just be a case of me having terrible memory, but what exactly did we get from the sacrifice of the Toad to the Merling King? I don't recall us ever covering this.

We could just follow that raven.

I actually like that. A raven freshly here is likely to fly to his actual home, not the next set-up meeting point.

If it's a citadel-raven we'll almost certainly follow it there.

[X] Play along for now. You have three more days to meet and get the measure of the other guests and the mysterious host before your Westerosi foes make their move
-[X] When she sends out the raven in three days, Windwalk after it.

Isn't Dany going to figure out who the culprit is tonight? In any case, there are a dozen better ways to find the culprit than this, assuming the raven even leads directly back to them.

You got the water elemental based navigation system I think.
That was a completely different sacrifice, @DragonParadox.
A silvery blush creeps up Vari's cheeks, for though her look is knowing it is clear your words struck their mark, and from pride might be coaxed a greater boon than she otherwise would have been willing to grant. The spirit motions to the water at her feet. As it spins upwards into a long spindle shape, it turns clearer than the finest Myrish glass. Of this she plucks enough to dip in one cupped hand and molds it as an artisan molds clay until it is a sphere, seemingly solid, though nothing as mundane as ice. Of all the substances you have seen it more resembles riverine, though only in the manner that a young sapling resembles a plank of wood, for this strange substance pulses and glows with the steady light of elemental power like some otherworldly heart.

"Take this and give it to the man named Horio in the city you call Tyrosh. He can set your artificers to crafting more of its likes with mortal magics and bindings," she begins, but as she speaks her face grows somber. "Warn your enchanters not to abuse this gift freely given and seek to enslave other spirits of the sea, for while mortal ingenuity will doubtless serve you well in the beginning of such a task, those who are ageless do not forget treachery."

Gained Foam-Born Guide
Foam-Born Guide

Description:
Seemingly a few ounces of water compressed down into a spherical shape by some sorcery, this item is alive with the swirling power of the sea, a minor elemental barely aware of itself set to serve by a higher power. The spirit within slowly matures and grows throughout Ninety-Nine years of service after which it gains full sentience and must be released into the sea.

Ability: Three times per day the minor elemental can divine the speed and direction of nearby (radius of 20 miles) currents, information which is passed directly to its user in whatever mental framework is convenient to him or her.

Cost to Create:
300 Gold (Not yet researched)
We got the Foam-Born Guide for sacrificing Rohar's dagger to the Merling King a full three months before the Toad Statue was sacrificed.

I think the reward we were supposed to get for the toad was just forgotten in the face of everything else we were doing.

Can we get our reward retroactively?

Hmm... I'll have to look into that. Not right now though I'm writing the qohor interlude

Alright. Hopefully something big, though? The Toad Statue was a rather large and important relic, somewhat comparable to the Seastone Chair.

From what I recall, DP gave us the option to use it to seal the deal with the Ironborn with a display of magic. We decided to do a Dywen instead.
I believe it's sitting in the Item Larder for proper screentime sacrifice.

We voted for Maelor to just go ahead and continue with the sacrifice as soon as possible, so IC it's actually been a while. We just need to figure out what we got for it.
