Magical Girl Escalation Taylor (Worm/Nanoha)

And this is why Ziz-related votes always seem meh to participate in imo. If we box up Ziz, we piss off both Dragon and Ziz, likely falling into another of her plans. If we keep her out of the box and let Dragon supervise her, we are falling into her current plan. =\ No real choice here.
Precogs, amirite!

I mean, it seems likely that this will be the last vote dealing with Ziz tier precog since her new body isn't as capable on that front, but it does make votes awkward to deal with...

Is it crazy that i really want to try unisoning with her before anything else? Also i should point out that the logic here is pretty straight forward. We made a deal, she kept her end, now we keep ours. Honestly i would have suggested giving her alittle more freedom than what is implied here... a friendbringer is better than a tame Endbringer after all! But since that wasnt one of the options;

[X] Keep Ziz on a short leash

[X] Keep Ziz on a short leash
-[X] Make it VERY clear that her choices are to stay in the box indefinitely while we work out how to deal with her, be honest with us while closely watched, or utter destruction. The consequences of even a small misstep need to be clear.
--[X]It might help to point out that, as humans, she knows very well how easily we could panic. Don't give us reason to panic, Cassiel.

"Quiet. I am thinking. I have never considered how one might reverse my conditioning." Her wings shift around as the seconds pass, and you have to wonder if this might be the truest display of emotion she has. Those wings pull back and open slightly just before she raises her head to look at you. "Lysergic acid diethylamide."

LSD effectively causes the brain to reset, making it, for a long time, the only drug known to man that could stop a migraine. I have a friend with the cluster migraines, also known as suicide headaches. He managed to survive his teen years through low doses of LSD. Now, micro dosing* shows potential for long term cures of a number of mental disorders. I like this answer very much.

*Well below the dosage needed to cause hallucinations. There's a lot of promise to this treatment, though I concede that there have been a great many promising treatments that failed to deliver.

Without canon, fanon works just fine. However, in canon, Tattletale worked out that his actual vulnerability was deep in his chest, just below his shoulder joints. Then she got smashed and nearly killed by Leviathan, so she didn't get much time to refine what she was seeing, and her power has been wrong often enough.

My canon knowledge is pretty fuzzy, but I would've thought Dragon (with all she does to maintain the PRT/Birdcage/etc systems) would be aware of Cauldron, or at least Alexandria/Costa-Brown's greater spooksy knowledge as her contact point.

In canon, Dragon knows about Cauldron. How much she knows is never said, but she told Defiant that she needed to talk to him about Cauldron when he discovered that Dragon had had a trigger event.

[X] Keep Ziz on a short leash
I'm really happy that we spent so much time freeing her.

Tho if she figures us out and models us correctly, she'll probably get bored again...
Unless we manage to bring more chaos and curious elements into the system.
Actually, getting access to the wider universe, that would peak her curiosity. I'm sure. All those different civilizations...

Movies, books, and video games. She has many options for entertainment now that she didn't have before, not to mention that being in a unison device means that she now has human-ish emotions. I suspect the change is as fundamental as you would experience if I took your mind and stuck it in a dog's body.

[X] Throw Ziz back into the box
[X] Throw Ziz back into the box
-[ ] Teleport to the Sojourner
--[ ] Give the box to Teana
---[ ] Tell her that this is the best source of information about the Endbringers, parahumans and alien threat that created them
----[ ] Warn her that it may or may not lie and manipulate them to its own goals
-----[ ] Enjoy her WTF face
There is additional reason to do that: Too big body count on THIS planet, even if she really intends to "be good"...

makes more sense then the other option.

The smartest thing to do would be to hand her over to the TSRB. They have more resources to contain her if she gets aggressive. And if she proves peaceful she would fit in much better with them then on earth.
I had not expected anyone to want to hand her over to the TSAB, but it's a valid option. I would allow a write in to that effect.
@Silently Watches , is this sort of extra vote okay? Its clearly stuff we'd need to spend slots, possibly Social?, on later so I tried to phrase it as "planning" for that reason
The rest of this doesn't change the essence of the vote like the two above do, just what you would do after, so I will not accept these sub votes.
The reasoning is simple enough - even if Ziz usually refrains from making specific plans while shooting blind... Can we really afford to believe that she didn't play another long game with her post-Unison life, just in case? She made a plan to become a Unison, and that plan worked. I do not want to see her backup plan for "become a Unison, but still didn't get what she wanted".

Well, as this chapter said, Ziz's actual plan is simpler than anyone assumed. More devious, but less complicated.

Looking back at Tattletale's interlude 8.x, she figured that there were simple organs in the chest cavity. As far as I can recall, no further information was ever given, though if you can provide a reference, I'll happily correct this.

To the best of my knowledge, she did not know about Cauldron. Again, if you have a quote or a reference, I'd like to see it.

Honestly, while I understand the reasons for sending her the fuck away, she'll be much more useful to us and to everybody else this way. Plus the whole "she's afraid of being bored" thing simply means that she is being honest with us rather than trying to manipulate us for her own purposes.

Wasn't the entire Madison incident just Ziz taking people from various dimensions, including most of Cauldron's experimental subjects?

When the Simurgh had attacked Madison, she'd copied Haywire's technology to open a gate to a building much like this one. A research facility. The portal had dumped the buildings, soil, plant life and all the residents into the city on Earth Bet, costing Cauldron a horrific amount. Even a stockpile of formulae had been lost. - Exerpt from Interlude 21.x

Also, honestly. Give Simmie a break, she's been sapient for less than a decade. She might as well be a child with really dangerous superpowers.

In conclusion, send the Simurgh to the Wards.

It is open to interpretation, but as I read it, she was seeing that the only vulnerable parts would be within the chest area partly because it meant they had the most protection from the surrounding tissue. She got how the layers of an Endbringer works well enough in a few minutes of observation, more than any thinker had ever managed to work out, that I lean toward accepting the chest as the core's location. She also noted that the thinnest level of protection was the armpit, though nobody was able to come up with an attack strong enough to reach the core, much less destroy it.

Stupid Question: Could we use a device similar to the one Simmy hijacked to deal with Levi? Behemoth's aura effect might make getting close enough with the device impossible, even for alexandria tier brutes, since it'd attack the device not just the cape carrying it, but Levi doesn't use a kill aura as a baseline. Also what about EBs 4-20?

Also what about EBs 4-20?

They don't exist.

It's a thing that gets confused a lot, but the fact that Eden had 20 Endbringer-type (I say type, because their behaviour and appearance is not the like Eidolon's endbringers) constructs in her precog future does not mean there are exactly 17 more waiting in storage.

We have absolutely no idea of what numerical limit might exist to endbringers, because we don't know whether the cores are waiting in storage, or they're made at the same time the appearance and powers are made subconsciously by Eidolon.

Also Eidolon is in a very different state than canon. There may very well not be any more made by him, if he isn't as ego-drunk as canon.

Which seems to have been used to conceal her own dimensional transit options, since the Travelers arrived before she even got the tech

As the only telepath in the group, the Simurgh is the only one who could be disabled in such a way.

I've previously said that only the Three Musketeers (Three Amigos? Three Hermanos? The Big Three, anyway) will show up. Since Scion absorbed Eden's body before his explosive suicide, Eidolon can't accidentally prod the Endbringer deployment shard for more Opponents.

[x] Keep Ziz on a short leash

"Befriend" ALL the things!

I always felt like the Simurgh was, in fact, a bit of a woobie. Being Ziz is suffering. Let's fix that!
