Then I guess DR 1

I'll have to add re-stat the avatar to my 'to do' list.

>.< Demigod can't do that either. Granting spells is Lesser Deity territory if I'm remembering right. And assuming even low double digit percent worship of Yss from SD alone, his worshipper count is high enough to push into that envelope.

Honestly, after the time we've spent on helping him recover, I'd place him around DR 3-4 at minimum. His Aspect doesn't have to have all those powers, but Yss as a deity certainly isn't acting as if he was Divine Rank 1. Even taking into account the occasional insight from age.

Of very important note here: I'm not saying that the Aspect should have more than Divine Rank 1. I'm suggesting that Yss, the Power behind his Aspect, does. It's a non-issue in terms of the power available to us.

So now we dumped a divine zombie powered by Yss poison and a raging hatred to all things Devil or Efreeti into the Plane of Fires seas.

@DragonParadox, just how powerful is that thing and can we get status updates about it from Yss?

Because this is bound to be pretty damn hilarious to watch.

It's only CR 10 right now, but is can grow stronger and eventually 'reproduce' though shed scales and the blood of its slain foes.

Problem there is that Yss isn't just an aspect, he's a genuine Living Avatar. The full god himself is within that shell. So since that's Yss in all his power and the rest of him isn't chilling somewhere in his own domain in the Astral Plane, he'd have to be stronger.

Granted, I don't really have a dog in this fight. @DragonParadox, how you'd like to handle this is of course up to you. I have faith you'll do great on that. Yss is already awesome.

By the way, DP, how many Commune Questions per week do we get from Yss now? We were currently on three per week, but now we rescued a bunch of Sunwalker Serpentfolk and even brought Yss' level 6 cleric back to life for him.

Damn, that is awesome.

@DragonParadox, can we help it out? Possibly track it down from time to time and sacrifice Efreeti over it to make it stronger?

Preliminary plan. What else should we try to find out?

[X] Offer Sorcerer's Deep as a new permanent residence for the Coatl much as you have done for Yss, as it will be easier to keep it safe from being hunted by devils and efreeti in the heart of our and Yss' power
-[X] Afterwards speak with Yrten and Siduri
-[X] In no particular order, try to learn the following from them;
--[X] If they are enemies of the Efreeti, where do they make port, and in what markets do they conduct business?
---[X] Try to learn eniugh about these locations that we could find them without assistance, if possible.
--[X] Do they have any useful contacts they might be able to introduce us to? This wouldn't just be fences and employers, but black market traders, corrupt City of Brass officials willing to be bought, etc. We are willing to pay for good information.
--[X] Can the Golden Wind Plane Shift in some manner?
--[X] To what degree is their business tied to slaving?
--[X] Would they be interested in a new line of work? Specifically, this would be as sub-contractors raiding Efreeti vessels. We would in turn pay them 90% of the bounty we receive for each ship from the Shaitan.

At which point the easy way to express this is that the Avatar becomes an Aspect, with a Divine Realm slowly forming in the Astral Plane tying up most of the strength of his Divine Rank. This is also where the metaphysical weight to grant spells comes from. When he hits Lesser Deity, which shouldn't take long once Essos starts taking to him, his Domain can solidify and his Avatar will become an Aspect.

@DragonParadox would this be reasonable?

[X] Leave the Gods to their business and instead speak to Yrten and Siduri, you have some questions to ask them and doubtless they have many more.
I don't like this part. As a precaution I want to make sure the Coatl establishes itself in Sorcerer's Deep. It should only take a line or two.

Also, what? 90%?

No. Just no.

I thought the entire point of us going on raids was to get paid by the shaitan. I'm really not in favour of giving most of our loot away to pirates of all things. If we hire them to act as spotters of threats that are usually out of their weight class we can pay them a finder's fee, but other than that... hard no on paying them, and certainly not 90% of anything.

Hey, my original plan on that was to pay them 10% of the bounty and the loot to act as spotters and informants. Look around for targets, call us. If we approve get within a little over a mile of the target and sending stone us.

They face no combat, but get a nice little commission for acting as informants and trackers.

You know, they are doing all the hard work.

But being fair, we don't even know how much the Shaitan will pay for those ships.
How about we hold off on yet another terrible deal?

30% is as low as I'd go tbh
Frankly I'm not not a fan of the idea at all, much less with such a terrible deal on our end.

---[X] While you're at it, learn of the peoples the Efreeti have subjugated, and which ones most chafe under their tyranny.

---[X] Most important of all, you need information. You've already seen one neutral port which gave you the intel you needed to attack the turtle ships and even this devil's ship, but you need intel immediately up-to-date. Whatever channel of information Yrten has in place, we want him to leverage it to give us a clear view of all potential targets in the Plane of Fire. He will of course be fairly reimbursed for the value of the information he provides.
----[X] Suggest a more permanent business arrangement, with them contacting us directly if a particularly valuable target happens to show up. The share of the treasure will be negotiated on a case-by-case basis.

[X] Try to offer suggestions for Yss' relationship with the scion
-[X] Suggest the scion become a subordinate deity to Yss, and that it permanently set up residence in Sorcerer's Deep both for the sake of necessary protection as well as opportunity

Why subordinate? The Scion is tiny now but once it was a lead deity too. How about separate deumities with good relationships with each other? We are gonna be the ones feeding this guy most of the mojo he needs anyway.

What it used to be doesn't really matter. It's because it's now so small and weak, and the fact that Yss is going to be the one offering the main source of protection, that I'm making this vote. This is not a meeting of equals, this is a lesser godling seeking aid and much-needed protection from a greater one. That's why it's fair to suggest the coatl become Yss' subordinate.

Besides, if the snakes consider the deal unfair, they will reject it. We're offering suggestions, not dictating terms.
Er...maybe but being undead it does not like the the living so establishing meaningful communication would be quite difficult.
HA! So that's a yes to potentially upgrading it via sacrifices if we can track it down? :p

Yes, this feels like a reasonable way to model it.

You know this probably means we just introduced a new form of monster to the Planes right? Granted one mainly interested in screwing over as many devils as it can. But if that things project have the same stat potential and can reproduce too. The Planes will one day talk of the Final Curse of Jazirian.

Idea: never let Goldfish make any financial arrangements.

Ever.

:jackiechan:

Let them sort their relationship out, just offer to bring him back to SD.
Agreed on both counts. How about we just offer our general support, a temple in SD and sacrifices of whatever form it takes for boons? The same deal we give any other likeable God. And it is likeable already. The little scamp.
