Not something I want to see after a choice, but I guess this has been dragging on a lot.
No need to be sad, just celebrate loot and XP to be had!

@DragonParadox, a bunch of us intend to harvest the Maelephant's breathweapon and preserve it for future study. Can that be folded into the day we'll be setting aside next month for Vee to harvest crafting materials from the accumulated devil corpses since it's just one graft and Vee's pretty experienced by now, or would it need its own day?

Let's undo that trees hardon already

So, it's going to simply be planted in the random spot of woods where the CoF are living?

That's it? All of this for a fucking bog standard dryad that could take years and years to grow and will likely remain wholy irrelevant forever?

Well, congratu-fucking-lations, that's a superlative choice.

At this point I can only hope the dryad gets corrupted and burns the CoF's glade or something.

Sure we could have put it someplace else, but not without risking wasting it on your petproject. Some of us like that idea even less than mediocrity. Besides the seed werent Viserys (ours) to decide about anyway. It was given to Vee after she went against Viserys draconic greed.

Risk?

I'm pretty sure there was little to no risk, considering Viserys has been mulling this over for years and thinks it's feasible IC. In fact, the action has been there for a while now, since we were much less skilled.

It's essentially useless now. Trivial.

Hardly will be heard of again.

And that was the plan the whole fucking time? Throw it away so it couldn't be used in my "petproject"?

You know what TNE just got here and he was very involved in arguing for this. Vote reopened. I'll do a Jorel interlude to show him getting back his body.

No, the plan was to set it up as something that will later become the centerpiece of our own Fey Court.

Confirmed that over a PM with DP - making a fey court with her help will net us a very friendly/loyal court.

Which is liable to take years if it goes at FTL speeds?

More likely, decades to centuries?

And even then, fey courts literally pop up when you aren't looking. We already intend to rule over a bunch of them due them being where we claim our land is.

We already have a freindly court even, we met them in the Riverlands. Big whoop.

This is a hell of a long shot.
but the Singers are a precious resource.
And how does this help them?

It's a CR 3 Dryad. Bog standard.

They are living in the middle of the heart of our power. They are thousands of miles behind the Wall. They are safe as can be.

Make them a couple Druid Creature Treants if you are worried. That's a serious defence.

You guys mind explaining why you are voting the way you are?

I honestly thought we had this in the bag by last turn vote, the discussion seemed heavily in favor the awakening Queen Rhaella.

I really see the Singers option the as weakest of the bunch. It's essentially throwing away the seed, for all we are likely to hear of it in the quest. It doesn't appreciably give the CoF a new ability or capability, it doesn't make them appreciably safer.

So why?

Don't you guys want to see how we go about making an entirely new species of fey? Something truly unique, never seen before?

Can you imagine how amazing it would be? The legends it would gather? A living ship, fuled by legend, song and glory, crewed by the best of the best, going where none have gone before!

Guys I will try to see to it that whatever choice you make interesting, so please do not get upset over this... I just want all of us to have fun with the results, world building etc...

Alright?

I voted the way I did due to the fact that I liked the way the spirit itself preferred the Singers over either the Old Gods or the Ship idea. While it might be a bit of a stretch and DP stated that the spirits mind could be changed, the dryads initial thoughts lent towards being planted with the Singers, due to wanting quiet solitude and contemplation.

EDIT: And while TNE's thoughts on creating a living ship are pretty neat, personally I don't want to force a spirit to become something they don't want.

Yes and Glyra preferred to be a backstabbing little shit until she didn't anymore. Well, she still stabs people in the back, but they have to deserve it now.

Point is, Fey nature can be changed and the Fey themselves are not as opposed to that as mortals would be since free will is a rather different concept to them as it is to us.
They don't seem to resent such changes.
