[X] You tell Auger that it would be best if he kept trying to get treasure, after all that helps the others get treasure too.

I'll take that then. :)

Kay. Not quite what I meant but that works!:D
Heya Drexal. Found this after finally getting over my... let's just call it trauma due to a mutual former friend. I'm also going to be trying my hand at a quest myself, in order to help me get over it further. Liking what you've got so far, and I can't wait to see where you take it.
Ah, you have my condolences brother. I know it can be difficult to get over the things but happened, but we can't let it ruin our own like of digimon. Best to bury that stuff and never look back, despite how tempting it ever might be to do so.

I'll be glad to see your quest in action! Will be waiting for it, and when it starts I'll try to be there. I'm glad you like what I have so far, I hope I can keep it up.
If it's a thing he likes to do then let him do it. plus "Auger The Treasure Hunter" has a really nice ring to it.
Yes indeed. It does sound nice.

[X] You recommend that Auger should take it easy after the whole Goblimon thing is over. If he has a lot like he says then there's little point in him getting more.

11nth Day Of Darkness: *Tiara* & Two Targets
Winning Vote:

[] You tell Auger that it would be best if he kept trying to get treasure, after all that helps the others get treasure too.

Initially you're unsure of how to answer Augers question, but after a few moments of thinking manage to come up with an answer.

"Auger I-ah well. M-maybe you should keep trying? It h-helps us too and...... We-I like having you around for that stuff."

You finish responding to the armoured rookie with a small smile.

However there are facets behind your choice beyond those verbally spoken. On a more practical level, Augers presence when searching for loot is useful considering his talent for spotting it and in a more personal way, having another Digimon along able to dig with the group is comforting thought. Him continuing to come along would also split the focus of actually removing crystals between the two of you and leave the others less focused on your lonesome.

Auger takes a half minute to ponder your advice over and then gives a nod of acquiescence.

"Mmm, alright"

The two of you wait in silence for another minute before Gramps finally lets loose a shout, proclaiming that "Lunch is ready" and after a quick trip through the newly created emergency escape tunnel you're supping on a bowl of stew. Oddly enough the only ones there for the first call are Fu, Auger, yourself and Sparks. You get a slightly uneasy feeling at the absence of Flamemon and Gnaw, though you're relieved to see just a little later that Lunamon is just busy talking with Sorcerymon. She comes running towards the cauldron just as you begin downing a fourth bowl of stew.

"Big brother Verge!"

B-big brother? But that's what Sparks calls Flamemon! Why would-

Her giddy voice interrupts before your line of thought can finish.

"Verge! Verge!" Lunamon shouts, excitedly bouncing up and down. "Tiara! Tiara! Like the show!" You're more than a little confused by her words, having no idea what a T-R-ah is.

W-what?

"The show?"

"Yeah!" She continues on, clearly not understanding you questioning tone. "Sorcerymon said it's only 10 thousand bits!" You physically flinch back at her words.

Tha-that's literally the same price as Sorcerymon's highest grade ah training equipment!

Seeing your expression, Lunamon loses her happy demeanor and looks up at you worriedly.

"Is that a lot Oni-Chan?"

"Ye-yeah it-ah it is"

"Aaaah....." She murmurs sadly, looking down at the ground. "Can... Can you pwease tell me how to get it?"

=== Choose One:

[] Try your best to sound confident, and tell Lunamon not to worry. You'll get it for her. (New Minor Goal added)
[] Tell Lunamon that she should try asking Gramps about it. Maybe he has something she could do in order to get that many bits?
[] Write in.

Gnaw and Flamemon come in through the villages gate together a few minutes later and while you're initially happy to see them, that happiness turns to worry as they get closer. Both of your friends are sporting a number of injuries. The former's pelt clearly being burnt in several places with a clear limp and one of his eyes swelled completely shut. Flamemon on the other hand seems to be in a bit better shape, only bearing a few scratches here and there on his torso.

Concerned for them, you put down your sixth bowl of stew and rush over to ask what happened. However both of the rookies rebuff your questions acting as if nothing had happened at all and simply continue on towards the Cauldron. As they leave, you can't help but notice Gnaw glaring at your best friend whenever the taller digimon looks away. Next you try to ask Gramps about it, but he doesn't help much either only saying:

"Hrm, darn fools. Praise The Ten it ended without either badly hurt"

The situation is more than a little worrying, but thankfully Flamemon manages to distract you from thinking about it coming to see you with Sparks in two. The tall rookie settles down beside you with a bowl of his own, and simply begins to eat. You're too nervous to try and start a conversation and simply fidget in place until he's ready to talk. Once he's finished Flamemon takes a position in front of you, his hands balled up into fists.

"Verge, about last night" Flamemon's starts, his voice steady and decidedly lacking the deeper more *heroic* tone he normally tries to use. "I. Failed you" he grunts through clenched teeth, "You were hurt, and I. I could have stopped it" Fire bursts into life around his fists and his blazing green eyes lock with your own brown orbs. "Not again. I promise, if I'm with you I'll protect you no matter what!"

"Oh-ah thanks Flamemon" you murmur, slightly unsure of what to say in response. "A-and I'll-I'm still going to help you become a hero."

"Great!" Flamemon shouts, launching back up to his feet. He flashes you a fiery thumbs up and gets ready to dash off, but a cough from Gramps grabs his attention first. To your slight surprise as you look at the old digimon, he's now wearing a black bag around his neck one that by the look of things is nearly identical to your own in design.

With everyone already nearby, the villages caretaker decides that right now would be the best time to explain the afternoons plan, as calling an assembly at this point would basically serve no purpose. Even Gnaw who's eating away from everyone else is close enough to hear him speak. Gramps quickly begins to explain that you'll all be clearing out two places today, as these ones are fairly close to each other. The scarred Elecmon mentions that one of the place has a number of oddly colored goblimon, and notes that the other site has some actual defenses in the form of a small wooden wall. After he finishes explaining the targets, he asks everyone which area they'd like yo attack first, then postis if they'd be comfortable maybe splitting up with him driving out one group by himself while your party gets the other mine shaft.

You:

=== Choose One Of Each

[] Suggest that everyone should stick together and attack the oddly colored Goblimon. You're more than a little worried Gramps might be referring to mon like the one which beat you and Auger up.
[] Decide to say that maybe your group can handle the fortified area on their own. You firmly believe that Gramps is strong enough to take on the oddly colored digimon by himself.
[] After thinking it over a few seconds and hearing the others reply you suggest that it might be a good idea to tackle the fortified area together.
[] Write in.

Authors Note: This took longer than it should have, but here we go. I hope that maybe in the near future I can start getting updates out earlier.

It's not an impossible goal and if I remember correctly we're already a fifth of the way there.

Plus I severely doubt that the Tiara doesn't have some kind of special property.

Seriously we're outnumbered as is no need to make the situation worse.

Verge is still trading 1 for 1 with going a bit ragey at the end. He'd do a lot better while berserk but that's not something to relay on.

Auger and Fu working together can just about handle about 4.

Gnaw and Flamemon are far stronger (champ border if I'm not missing my guess) so we don't know their limits but let's be conservative and say 6 each.

That's 17 Goblimon a smaller outpost had 24. And that's not counting the fortifications or the boss monster who is probably a lot stronger. Now maybe our stars can handle more than my estimations but I'm not feeling confident.

Besides the odd Goblimon is the leader cut the head off the snake and the body will die and/or dispurse

Verge and Auger dig under the wall and then everyone jumps out and attacks the fort from the inside.

Verge has just over 2000 bits currently so about 1/5th of the way there yeah. Though, that money could be spent on other things.
@Cjdavis103

Great speculation there!
Damn you kindness trait!

Verge and Auger dig under the wall and then everyone jumps out and attacks the fort from the inside.
Well the trait only allows Verge to think about buying it. Doesn't lock him in though, that depends on this vote.

And Verge+Augers digging indeed would allow to circumvent that defence, good catch.

Edit: I'm hoping to make it to page 28 before the next update so if anyone has any questions, feel free to ask them! :)

So on a scale of 1 to Game Over, how dangerous is whatever the hell is buried in that mountain?

Yes.

:p

More seriously the limbs found are (According to Gramps inspection of the arm at least) from champion level digimon. Just since the limbs were found in completely different tunnels, either it's one mon split apart or multiple digimon all encased in rock.

If anyone can guess what *it* is they'll get a free stat point.

So probably not Machinedramon due to it being a composite of Ultimate level mon rather than Champions. But it's definitely made up of chrome digizoid of some kind. And I think those green crystals are raw Huanglong ore. It's not a homebrew mon is it?

What descriptions have we gotten for the limbs so far?

What descriptions have we gotten for the limbs so far?
Just these so far. They're unfortunately incredibly vague. The only common factor seems to be that they're made up of Chrome Digizoid.
Together you're able to clear away much more of the rock in the next couple hours, first revealing the rectangular edges of the metal. Then as you work your up, three blade-like structures are uncovered at the very top, with one in the center and the other two resting on the other ends. Once enough it cleared away you can't help but feel as if It looks like some sort of gigantic foot. Naturally upon realizing this information you freeze in place, though Auger only lets out a barely audible "neat" before stepping back.

Near the very end of the tunnel, you find something frightening. A large, three fingered, metal arm that's been partially excavated from the rock. Once you've worked up the nerve to go near the inanimate object, it quickly proves to be made out of a similar material to that leg you'd found earlier with Auger.

Edit: A quick wiki walk makes me think that we're not dealing with a composite digimon after all. I've found two mon with parts that are a) chrome Digizoid, and b) of the right level. Peacockmon and Raptordramon. Unfortunately the sheer scale of the limbs we found makes me think that they're not the right answers; so I'm at a loss until we can get more information...

Not a homebrew mon. I've only used one of those and plan for that to be the only one.

And the crystals are not raw Huanglong ore. No they're something else. Something...special.

Well I can confirm that it's not either of those mon. Also the metal might not be a form of chrome digizoid considering how Gramps was able to damage it.

I can say that it's a champion level (mostly) machine digimon of some sort with three long fingers on each arm. It also has a rectangular heel, with three toes on each foot.

Wait... Mechanorimon? But on a huge scale?
You got it dude! Though not exactly on a huge scale as Mechanorimon tend to be pretty big normally, compared to some champions at least.

Remember that right now? The entire group is composed of rookies, so most champions would be considered very big compared to them.

Still want that stat point?
