Honorable Conservative Party will invest in them during midturn, we just need to give them PW. Due to how IC regen works, it's actually more efficient that way, as we get more temp IC.

Yes, and? Honorable Liberal Party can build railroads and/or raise SoL during midturn, thus dealing with it, and it's not even actually dangerous for happiness if we rightfully blame perfidious Nohon and Sketch. And with more IC we could actually build sewers and the like easier.

So, just mathing things out. We have 70 actions of artierial line to build in total if none of our allies help. Rail companies are going to be absolutly vital as we don't have 70 PW to throw around.

Expand IC efficently x2 + rail company is a 3 PW and 2 temp IC action that produces no pollution and adds +1 rail segment per turn.

If we found a new rail company each turn using this method we can finish the rail lines in 12 turns.

RDI 2 x found rail company 2 is a 4 PW set that costs 2 temp IC, adds 2 perm pollution, and adds 2 rail segments a round.


If we do this each round we finish at round 8.

If we RDI into rail companies 2 times a round for 5 rounds we finish evenly at round 9 with 10 perm pollution.

We can solve 10 perm pollution via sewers and hospitals.

When the rail lines all finish we spend the needed PW into building new develope rail actions to boost max IC.

While I really want rail companies, it's been pointed out to me that it is more efficient to allow the factions to do it. We build the IC for them now, which gives them more temp IC per turn when they start, then they take (hopefully 2) rail company actions to start us off. So they get both more temp IC as well as allowing for our rail companies to form and start spamming rails.

And what do you mean by dark-skinned? Tanned? Chocolate brown like black Africans? Olive like some Hispanics?

Because unless ethnicity is markedly different here, Khem is centered along the Nile and Arab North Africa.
And I assure you will have trouble telling an Arab from a lot of Italians or Greeks.
Everything has been shifted about 15 degrees south from OTL. This means the Sahara is even hotter and drier than OTL, and Redshore is much more of a Mediterranean climate than the temperate that IRL!Georgia is. Hell, if you read the first quest it pretty much talk about how our people didn't even see snow until they started North.

Regarding that skin color debate: remember that Ymar covers a lot of the middle east and spent millenia taking in refugees. Odds are, many Ymaryn could walk around Khem without sticking out.

It gets even more complicated as AN already said Ymaryn are a very varied bunch. You could look at a crowd of them and no one would say they are of the same ethnicity.

So the foreigner objection might literally be about foreign influence and powerful nobles wanting to marry into the royal family.

Actually, @Academia Nut, while I still remember, can you answer about the shift south? Was everything shifted south, so, for example, Kyberia is warmer that Siberia, or was only Old Ymaryn territory shifted a bit, while the climate of other parts of the world is generally the same?
Little bit of both really, although more the latter than the former.
 
Really really disappointing how little diplomacy is getting the love. That's one of the few things that's really the prerogative of our Haddyth now, and in a time when the Sketch are playing with coalitions, conditional allies, and brinkmanship we've got to shore things up some more.

Would a DO to Behryvar or Kielmyr, or even the Ochruhr to see about hashing out a backroom deal be too much to ask for? Instead at best I'm seeing a purely reactive attitude.
