Where does it say this?Don't forget about the huge magic storm that he used to power them up that hasn't come back in hundreds of years.
Yup, a 10 point version with both of those would kick ass, and even a 5point version would be good. Presuming the Dwarfs can adapt it to an Umgi Zhufokri and not spend a lot of effort to do so.Like, even the most basic thing based on these runes:
-would be unbelievably useful.
Antimagic is very useful for a wandering wizard, and they're the best at it.
Is there a post that lists the available effects and limits Channeling and Antimagic runes would have?
any chance we can study to learn a spell or two? i mean i'd like to know how to cast that magical dagger spell so we have some more options in combat.
I confess to not reading dozens of pages of discussion of WFB army list enchantments closely, but the impression I got was that @BoneyM said a pretty standard Dwarven anti-hostile-magic type rune would also be able to (have a chance to?) negate our own miscasts.

I never understood why the runefangs were considered such a big deal considering that at least in terms of effects they're not much better than any high quality dwarven runic item.
Nothing definitive from GM aside from "dwarfs do antimagic really well" and "they will be willing to try channeling, but the results are unknown".
Mathilde continues to channel her Inner Dwarf to good effect with Dwarven notables."Heard more about you since you joined," he says thoughtfully. "The business in the land of the Vampires. Neat bit of work, that."
"It needed doing," you say simply.
He nods.
Let us loose on the HornholdPerhaps you made it far too sensitive, as the slightest breeze or the merest movement would set off the hornblow, which struggled to hold a constant note with so variable an origin.
Thankyou Grey Order Deep Memory Implant Divison, now Johann thinks we've got a devastatingly effective poker face. Keep him on his toes about lying to us, hopefully. He gives you a calculating look. "I could have sworn you didn't know. Bloody Grey Mages."
Huh. I wonder where the anti-miscast idea originated from then? Is it a complete thread fabrication, or are you willing to say whether it's a possibility, or a likelihood, or a default effect of these anti-magic runes?
How far away is the Grey College from K8P?No. You had the opportunity to cash in favours to take the scrolls for spells with you and instead chose the Seed of Regrowth.
Here is the most detailed map of the Old World that I know of. It starts at Altdorf, where some basic googling will tell you the Colleges of Magic are located. Likewise, basic googling will also tell you that Karak Eight Peaks is well south of Karaz-A-Karak, just below the southernmost pass through the World's Edge Mountains.
About 1500 miles of roads, a third of that through greenskin lands.
Using tabletop rules, they automatically wound and ignore armour saves. That can't be replicated with runes from the Dwarf army book.
Somewhere around a thousand miles in a straight line or longer by road depending on which edition of Warhammer map you look at,How far away is the Grey College from K8P?
Also, how would one go about learning battle magic?
Thirdly, would "Talisman, Protection" include our much desired effect of possibly negating miscasts? Maybe triggering the "magical" category under "protection"? Is that a consideration for an item made for a wizard?

Worth checking, would rather not be caught surprised by it affecting us as well. You can take it as a given that a gift they make for a wizard won't get in the way of being a wizard.
Huh I believe you are correct I have been looking for anything on it but I can't find any source either.I've asked for a source on that before since I can't find it anywhere in Warhammer lore, or indeed anywhere on the internet except repeated in quest threads here and on SB, and I'm starting to suspect that Gaius Marius (the QM, not the reformer of the Roman Army) said it to get people to stop asking him for another Runefang.
