What exactly is the stance of Godly assistance in WHF? Is it Sigmar (or similar) saving throw for important person even if it's for a non-believer. Or is it faithful gets X% chance of help?

Popcorn god seems to be on ball for Mathilde since ever.
I think the way it works is, Ranald always hears you even if sometimes he just points and laughs, while Sigmar is much more hands off but when he does feel like it he can provide more assistance?

Because I am not I the mood to vote for damage that would going traitor a possibility. It was not Sigmar who really failed it was the hammer pope and sadly their have been incompetents and one or two traitor who have mange to get the position thought they did not ho. But that is also the case when it comes to the Emperor and the Ar-Ulric. I really do not see how developing some kind of hatred for Sigmar or the Empire as a whole will be anything but detrimental to doing our job, working with the new count who is related to a Witch Hunter and our survival. Almost every part of the empire we asked for aide sent us some so hate the empire as a whole makes little sense to me. Also how the hell is coming to the conclusion that even great warrior can lose their life in the confusion going to take a way something we set during character creation. Bravey is intrinsic to our girls character and we will not lose it if we develop a less then healthy sense of cautiousness that we could come to terms with later. We are a wizard and our job is not to get stuck in to melee combat unless we have to.
[X]The fog of war is a bitch, to all involved.
[X]Expertise matters. And Stirland has precious little of it.

[X]Dwarves are the greatest ally of humanity.

[X]Dwarven ale is a valid coping mechanism.
[X]The Colleges of Magic act in their own interest, rather than that of the Empire.
[X]In the confusion of battle, even the greatest warrior can lose their life pointlessly.

PS. MBoney Are both Knights of the Raven and members of the black Guard of Morr based at Siegfriedhof because they are two different orders that both serve Morr. The Knights are the aggressive ones who hunt vamps and other undead while the Black Guard spend most of their time on guard duty. I ask because both groups have been mentioned in updates.

Probably shouldn't bet on that. There's a few different ways that could go if it wins - nihilism and pacifism come to mind, and I haven't sat down and given it proper thought yet - but one of them is definitely saying goodbye to your Brave trait.

Whatever wins, this trait is going to hurt. The most important person in her life and the closest thing she had to a love interest died in front of her. That's gonna leave a mark. The choice to be made isn't how much it hurts, but how it manifests.

Yep. If she loses her tiny but fierce designation, that would cut off a decent chunk of my enjoyment to her as a character. Seriously, we are a badass in battle. Please dont undermine Mathilde that way.
You know what else would undermine Mathilde in battle, tho?

Rolling a nat 1 and getting gut wounded by a random skeleton. War in Warhammer seems hella dangerous.

[X] Mathematics is universal.
This seems useful and given the danger of magic coming up with a more reliable way of modeling it would be useful.

[X] The Empire is a morass of self-interest, to the point of becoming a millstone around the neck of humanity.
[X] Sigmar abandoned his most worthy follower in his hour of need.

[X] The best battle is one where the enemy never gets a strike in.

[X] The fog of war is a bitch, to all involved.
[X] Expertise matters. And Stirland has precious little of it.

[X] Sigmar abandoned his most worthy follower in his hour of need.
[X] You can't trust people to have your back.
[X] I will never meet a man as worthy as Abelhelm was.

Voting for my top three in each category.

[X] Magic is unreliable, gods are doubly so: always have a mundane solution.
[X] The Colleges of Magic act in their own interest, rather than that of the Empire.

[X] Complex problems, simple solutions.

[X] Sylvanians will meekly accept any tyrant, to the point of complicity in their actions.

In my view it's poor planning/risk assessment for randomness to off major character, if the Count just stayed off of front lines then we would be in a different situation; probably with different problem :V.

[X] Artillery is the King of Battle.
[X] Dwarves are the greatest ally of humanity.
[X] The Halflings have proven themselves as a worthy neighbour.
[X] The dead of Sylvania's prehistory deserve an undisturbed rest.
[X] Magic used recklessly has catastrophic effects; great care must be taken in it's handling.
[X] The best battle is one where the enemy never gets a strike in.
[X] The best counterspell is, in fact, a blackpowder projectile to the face.
[X] The Black Guard of Morr were the most dependable human asset across the entire campaign.
[X] Magic is unreliable, gods are doubly so: always have a mundane solution.
[X] It's not a great hero who carries the day, but a lot of small men working in concert.

Can't speak for others, but in my case it's because going back to Spymistressing seems like an utter waste of Mathilde's talents. Especially if we become distrustful of magic and choose to focus more on mundane solutions or the manpower of Stirland. Because let's face it, even if she's still a Journeywoman, Mathilde has a lot of untapped potential for magic. She was, after all, the only mage in the campaign that failed to colossally screw up.

Also, fridge realization. Maybe it isn't Dhar that makes the necromancers of Sylvania stupid and incompetent. Maybe it's Sylvania/Stirland itself, given how we just saw several high-ranking mages become impressively incompetent the moment they came here to "contribute".
You are aware that dhar does in fact make you insane? Quite literally - dhar corruption twists your mind and soul something fierce.

If you want to study magic then that is fine, but dhar is literally the second worst form of magic you can try to perform(tied with high magic for humans), only outdone by the chaos god lores.

Changing votes to:
[X] The fog of war is a bitch, to allinvolved.
[X] Sigmar abandoned his most worthy follower in his hour of need.

At least Ranald was there to pat our shoulder, Sigmar?

But Nagahs looks fine for someone who's born few thousand years ago. :V Regular people ('s bone) doesn't look that good after a hundred. Why ethic if you have aesthetics?

Erm, you guys do realize, that our future boss, Abelhelm's son (daughter?) was trained as a Sigmar's templar, like all Van Hals before him?

He might very well be more pious than his father. Or even a fanatic.

Advisors he picks, now or later, might also be Sigmarites.

So, choosing an anti-Sigmar option, strikes me as unwise.

Ps. Not to mention, all those witch hunters which were under van Hal's firm control?
They no longer are.
We really don't want to be in their cross-hairs more than we already will.

That new map is pretty great, @BoneyM. Looking forward to seeing our intel network version of it lighting up sectors of Sylvania.

It does highlight that there are a bunch of Sylvanian towns that our purge never made it to, and which are still not paying taxes. I know we didn't have the troops and endurance for the campaign, and there were solid practical reasons for the choices we made, but darn it, we were right there! Now it'll be another generation before those places are purged and occupied.

Then it'll be our utmost duty to save them from wasting their efforts on a god that would abandon them at the drop of a skull.

Pick Math if you want to focus on Mathilde as Wizard, Spy and Administrator.
Also if we want to spend dwarven favor on math/engineering teachers. Having a dwarven engineer friend is a good reason to pick and leverage Math or Cannon related traits. Now for approval voting.
