Was it not voted for him to unsheath it?

This wishy washy shit about Dark Sister is tiring me out. It's not going to be cursed, it's a Sorcerer's sword.

Get it done already. We need a good sword anyway.
There was a decent majority for giving it to Dany that lost to the poking first.

So little chance that Viserys gets it.
I'll vote for Dany too, unless it's something that works much, much better for a Sorcerer.

Right.. forgot about that for some reason. You can fix the skull.
Can I just start counting that among the trophies we have already?

Trophies

Also, when do we see what we can harvest from the Velroc? We already got Theon's dragonbone bow (and presumably Aradia's as well), but we haven't broached the subject since.

EDIT: Can we also use the Spirit Naga skull to get a fullbody trophy as well?

Especially since it seemed like it was going to mould itself to whichever wielder it chose. So I really want it for Dany and not for Viserys.

I want to see what Dark Sister can do before automatically assigning it to Dany.

The sword has to be overwhelmingly better suited to Viserys for It not to go to Dany, it belonged to a sister of the conqueror, and its called Dark sister.

Alright, so everybody for naming Viserys first daughter 'Rhea' says aye.

@DragonParadox could Viserys dedicate (virtual?) days towards dreaming specifically of Valyria? It would be a great way to 'scout out' the Peninsula, and give worldbuilding. Perhaps a view of Targaryen holdings before they were sold off.

I like Rhae.
And those Sorcerer willsaves did come in handy for her.

@DragonParadox
Don't they do that Dance of Dragons anymore in Rhea's days?
If were considering solutions what an initiate who already has access to level 7 spells could do to improve her situation, that would come to mind.

Thing is that Viserys flights mostly with claws and spells, so a sword is rather redundant for him. On top of that, I really love our Weirwood pimp-cane. The VS sword is a distant second to it.

Well, I'm of the opinion that we it should be overwhelmingly better for Dany, before we automatically assign it to Viserys.

We were all but flat out told this was the better sword of the Targaryens.

We can just pass it to Dany when/if we find Blackfyre. Much better than to simply let Dany carry it and do nothing.

He can fight with both claws and sword. In fact, he gains an extra attack from it, a very strong extra attack.

At next level, he gains two attacks. At 16th, he gains three attacks.

Dany has more or less never entered melee.

We don't really need a sword though?

DP outright said he won't give us a weapon in the usual sense when we talked about the Weirwood Staff. And that we don't need one.
We have a Rod and a Staff to hold in most cases, and our claws and teeth in melee.

Except we go from Claw/Claw/Bite/Wing/Wing to Sword/Sword/Claw/Bite/Wing/Wing, and the sword gets 1-1/2 Strenght to it, and two handed PA.

I could care less about using the sword as a weapon. It could have useful SLAs or even a good Special Purpose ability.

Poking stuff with it is a secondary concern.

I thought it needed to be bone for sacrificial purposes?

@TotallyNotEvil

We are now one level away from being an actual Dragon. We won't be using a sword anyway.
I don't want to turn the weirwood staff into a sacrifice spear, just a regular spear. We turn it into a sacrifice spear and then suddenly we have to deal with the rules we've got about what we're allowed to sacrifice, and that could seriously hamper us in a fight.

Also, even with the sacrifice spear, Bloodraven told us it should be a weirwood haft with a bone core and a dragonglass tip.

How about giving the staff the ability to 'grow' a spear tip on command, which is made from obsidian and mindflayer bone?

@DragonParadox, how many HD would that take?

Because our main weapon being a sacrificial spear that sends our enemies straight to our pagan gods is one of the last few checkboxes left for us.

Then we just don't use it against humans. Let's be fair here. Humans who fight us are either a) totally outclassed, making a weapon redundant, b) powerful casters who we wouldn't poke with a sword anyway or c) powerful melee monsters we would turtle at the first opportunity.

We would only manifest the tip and go to stabbing when we want to send the target to the grinder anyway.

That could work, but I think this would bleed us dry of sacrifices and time to make. I don't see it happening for a few months at least.

You know, I think that we should devise a an item for our Shadow Tower that makes all Plane Shift Attempts end up in the same place, like that Statue in Molten Skies.

Then we can just Plane Shift future sacrifices there and be rid of the annoying mechanics of actually having to take care of them Mid-Adventure.
