Magical Girl Escalation Taylor (Worm/Nanoha)

Oh, is the Fanfiction chapters one chapter behind these? It appears so, but there might just have been some other form of delay. Eh, let's just say it doesn't matter and just read the updates here instead.

I'm going through the thread right now to see what was discussed previously, but from the memory we can build:

1) Special tech station for tending to Devices - prerequisite to tinkering with Devices at all
2) Start on the Power Plant (9 slots) - will help with powering IAE on the next Template Install, giving us a non-combat slot rather than using us as power source
3) Finish the Dragon Drone
4) See about upgrading the mobile command center
5) Possibly build that specialized fabricator for medical supplements

EDIT: Here's that was there the last time.

Thanks for the reminder. I'd be up for either of your plans.

If he did have a linker core, I don't think he would go for either a Device or template. He's put too much time into his own tech. Learning a spell or two on his own? Maybe.
Things aren't quite as bad - Unison Device (aka Dragon) doesn't actually remove shards from its users.

P.S. 1 hour 45 minutes before moratorium ends

Umm.
IMPORTANT: If you find a cape who has a Linker Core, giving them a Device will permanently disable their shard-based abilities. That's actually the biggest reason why no-Device mages are an option. Think carefully before you turn a cape into a mage.
This is why we have a FAQ.

... I just came up with the Crackiest Ship Ever!

Device!Dragon×Mage!Epoch
Ohmygod. We've cursed Dragon to the hell that is a love triangle.
Armsmaster vs Epoch? FIGHT!
Pffffffft!

There will be a roll for natural synchronization with each mage you have for every UD, so if Epoch rolls real high (or you give him skills that earn a bonus), I could actually see that happening.
Would it be hilarious if Armsmaster was revealed to actually have a linker core, no matter how weak, and so Arms/Dragon went a step further?

Armsmaster and Tim working together to figure out the basic principles behind all of Armsmaster's tech followed by Armsmaster taking a Transcendent Gageteer template might be Fun™
Oh yeah, I've still yet to decide how that meeting and the analysis of Vista's arm went (other than letting her keep it). I think I'll leave it up in the air until you social her or give her the new and improved civilian arm, and when you do, make it a roll to see how much respect if any there now is between the two "Tinkers".

Yes, FFN uploads are one week behind.

Unison Devices are weird in this regard. Since they aren't truly binding themselves with their master/user on a permanent basis like with any other Device but instead just temporarily merge with the mage's Linker Core, they make parahuman powers wonky during the merge but don't kick out the shard. Once the Unison is over, everything goes back to normal.

Vote 9.2

Vote for Tim's build sessions. He has FOUR time slots now, not three. As always, plan format is a necessity.

[ ] Plan name
-[ ] Project 1
-[ ] Project 2
-[ ] Project 3 (if you have time)
-[ ] Project 4 (if you have time)
-[ ] BUY skill if you want
-[ ] BUY a second skill if you have the points and want to, etc.

Or, since there was so little discussion about what to build, you could vote for

[ ] Dealer's choice

where I will pick what Tim builds this week. All points he earns would be saved for future spending.

*devotes tons of time to Dragon*
*frees her from the Dragonslayers*
*makes her a new body*
*Dragon immediatly runs off with a villain*
Well, if you want to make the moral of the story be 'everyone you care about betrays you...'/jk

... if Armsy actually gives us a respect, I call MS quarantine.

Huh. Interesting.

[X] Plan Variety
-[X] Build Device Programming Station (1 slot)
-[X] Build third DFNS-A power armor (2 slots)
-[X] Finish the Mobile Command Center by improving its coordination AI (1 slot)

I'll go for this cause I still haven't quite grasped the full extent of what Tim can do, and I'm quite sure that "pre-charged pre-programmed spell-bullets that can be used by non-mages" are off the table. You know, like Vazkii's Psi.

can i suggest building a device that allows healing spells, Lacey would be the first candidate now she has seen what getting one did to Tim. If Lacey does not want a device having it can still be useful with it we can turn anyone with a linker core that is willing into a healer if we are in a situation where we need a healing fast. Or use it as a way for parahumans to loose unwanted powers canary is probably not the only one who wants to loose her powers.

I mean, it would technically be possible for Tim to go out of his way and teach magical engineering to people with giving them a Gadgeteer Template. The main issue would be convincing people that, yes, he can in fact teach people his form of engineering.

I would also be perfectly happy with Unison Dragon linking up with Armsy.

Is putting Dragon in a Unison Device really all that good of an idea? If I'm understanding things right, that will cut her off from her Shard based power, which will in turn make her a whole lot less effective at doing her work with Tinkertech.

But Tim will still have the ability to understand it. (very soon)
Additionally, this is also cutting all of Dragons remaining restraints, which means she can go full-on AI expansion. And given that's the kind of thing we've been explicitly told the Entities consider part of their 'nuke' list, I wouldn't put it past Dragon to figure out TTech in a short amount of time.

She should also be able to work on magitech as well. Where-as right now the mana's multidimensional nature is stopping her from doing even the simplest spell.
