Possessing the CCG would make her play by Babylon Five rules. And one of the Babylon Five rules is that ancient inscrutable beings with powers beyond mortal ken manipulating us for their own inscrutable reason always lose. It takes a while, but they lose. Tricking her into possessing a work that doesn't allow her to win is a pretty good trick.

Thing is, that's already the case because her base is fairy tales. The only way that wouldn't work is if you trapped her in Worm or something where good is not guaranteed to win.

It's not. It's really not. She can do shit like use the original, bloody version and cast her targets in roles where they die. Or cast her proxy as a hero. B5 doesn't allow her to do that, because she fits one particular character archetype there perfectly, and thanks to the time loop around Babylon Four and Valen the good guys get to keep retrying till she loses.

Eh...Plenty of fairy tales end with the poor, proud idiot dying by being eaten by wolves and stuff.

If you want to lock her somewhere truly debilitating, put her in "My Immortal" (The fanfic, not the song)

This is another one of those decisions that seem designed to keep characters in play rather than deal with them rationally. I say assimilation is the way to go.

Death and super-death are not rational alternatives to sticking someone in Tartarus when you actually care about what other people think about you. Especially when those people include national governments and the Justice League.

Most of that just doesn't matter; she also enthralled everyone in the theater and has overcome the Spell Eaters, even the very best of them and can warp reality to her will. She can't be contained, they don't have a reliable method of breaking the curse AND disallowing her to affect the minds of everyone at the same time. Since she has to be in the magic eating restraints which would eat anything you tried to do to the curse as well.

Frankly breaking the curse isn't going to happen under those constraints. Also, your idea of justice doesn't matter because if Paul thought it was viable he'd have suggested it and his solution was to drop her into Tartarus where she can't warp reality or escape.

One she didn't enthrall everyone in the theater, or else how did Troy Girl know something was wrong?

And two because we have never seen Paul be wrong before, and clearly an off the cuff remark he made with little to no thought is infallible. Especally given the fact that Wonder Woman, who is right there and has had more experience with her gods, did not think of it?

Can we please not deliberately antagonize the mods or draw their attention? We were doing pretty well there for a while. There are legitimate avenues to discuss this type of thing, and antagonizing the mods doesn't help anything.

Pretty much any attack on the president is going to result in you winding up dead.

- Not really. There have been a fair number of attacks and attempted attacks on US Presidents since Kennedy and pretty much none of them have resulted in people being dead. Hinkley actually shot Reagan, remember, and is still sitting in his nice minimum security loonie bin. (and Jodie Foster reportedly remains unimpressed)

Lynnette Fromme and Sara Jane Moore both tried to kill Gerald Ford in separate incidents 17 days apart, both went to prison and survived to be paroled.

Francisco Martin Duran fired 29 shots on the White House grounds at a group of men he believed to contain Bill Clinton... He was wrong, and is sitting in a prison cell.

and those are just the ones off the top of my head. I know that there were several attempts on W Bush and Obama is currently the all time leader in the US Presidents getting Death Threats and having people stupid enough to actually try championships with armed morons jumping the fence at the White House every other week

Yes, but in all those cases the prosecution likely pushed for the death penalty.

The ones where actual attacks happened anyway. Whether they got it or not is another thing entirely.

EDIT: But I concede the point.

Or she gets fed up with it, casts someone as Byron, and great suffering commences until the universe collapses from lack of readers. :p

Tartarus doesn't have to involve actual torture. It is also a completely reliable way of preventing her from using her magic.
Why would it prevent her from using magic?

She isn't an Earth mage after all who draws their power from the leylines, she get's her power from Stories and Belief and that's one of those things that in nearly all cases transcend realms.

In fact given how often getting one over Hades and escaping Tartarus featured in Greek stories putting her there is probably one of the worst ideas since it all but guarantees that she will get out sooner rather then later.

She enthralled the audience, she overcame Paul's Spell Eater (aka the best one extant), she warps reality and OL just got done telling the president that the only place that she was reliably containable was TARTARUS.
No she didn't, his spell eater was removed by Eris, because Donna's protected her just fine.

No, the Queen of Fables managed to overcome it.

I nearly exhausted myself overloading his protective amulet the first time, during our little read through on the plane. But I am an old fashioned performer. Props are there to support the actors on stage, not to be the focus themselves. And now? All he's wearing is a prop.

Tartarus is a supermax prsion made by gods with the intent to hold other gods and more powerful things, if it didn't disable the inmates magic's it would not be able to hold any of them. It is also distinct from the rest of the underworld. people can and have left the underworld, but almost nothing has escaped Tartarus .

How were you planning to kill her, exactly? And how certain are you it would stick?

Secret Service Guy 1: "We could, like, group up-"
Secret Service Guy 2: "-and shoot it till it dies!"

Are there any forums that aren't run by ban happy SJW morons these days? The popup about the poor trannies feelings was bad enough, but getting upset over flippant suggestions of violence against fictional characters is pretty pathetic.

You seem like the kind of guy who stands on a hilltop in a thunderstorm, wearing wet copper armour, and yelling insults at the gods.

When I made a crack about not getting dinged with a rule 2 violation for suggesting cruel and unusual punishments for Queenie, I wasn't expecting you guys to go out and actually do it.

As to Tartarus: Seems like a valid alternative if you realize that Paul's likely going to use it in the same way he used Belle Reve for Abra and the Terror Twins. It's likely to be a safe location that he can goto to work on her rehabilitation.

The Titan's aren't gods, and their power at least in the general comic universes wasn't magical or worship based in nature.

Also you should read up on Sisyphus.

In fact given the chain and sorcerer thing that would probably be a very easy role for the Queen to slip into.

OL speculated that the difference between gods and titans was political rather than magical, and I don't believe we've seen evidence to the contrary.
At least in the larger DC universe the Titans are descendants of Ouranus and Gaia, while the Olympians descended solely from Gaia.

I believe that was the reason why the Olympians needed worship to maintain their power while the Titans didn't.

I'm a libertarian that tends to be opposed to authoritarianism / top-down unilateral action, and even so I'm finding this to be over the top.

It's one thing to disagree with other people. That's fine. But all I see here is resorting to childish namecalling because someone proposed that we *gasp, horror* be nice to other people and asked that users maintain a basic level of decorum. This isn't "SJW" behavior; this is a fundamental part of being a civil community. This kind of reaction is tantamount to saying "I should be allowed to say anything I want, but other people (i.e. mods/admins) should be limited on what they're allowed to say."
