Clearly it's not because they're sending people to kill him. No, it's because they stole his breakfast!

I mean come on people breakfast is the most important meal of the DAY! and the BRITISH GOVERMENT JUST STOLE GRAYVEN'S. A sin such as this shall not stand, for it was to be the best breakfast in the world!


That or they tried to take a shot at Jade.

At which point she triggers the black hole bomb in her tooth killing them both, because she is a professional government assassin and wouldn't go after a target without some guaranteed way of killing them. :rofl:

Gonna be honest the way everyone is utterly incompetent in Grayven verse is getting a bit grating.

"Augh. I didn't need that in me head." There's a slight pause and I imagine him blinking heavily, unable to prevent himself imagining it. "I don't think they'd call me in over a few dirty magazines. They've got that Cyril twit fer that."

"Oh, there's more serious stuff. The highlights include kidnapping, paedophilia, foul magics, murder and cannibalism."

Chester does -in his own imprecise and rather bloodthirsty way- try and focus on targets who more or less deserve it. How does he weigh things? Do I count? He knows exactly what sort of person I am from our early sessions. On the other hand… "So. Are you actually going to have a go?"

Given his visible frustration when he lost the ability to make me soil myself I'm going to assume that he wasn't faking, but that took everything I could. His telekinetic power is incredible. In a fight, even if he didn't get the drop on me? Dodgy one. "On the other hand, iff.. some of the people on this list suffered.. unexpected strokes…"

He pauses a moment before responding. "Wouldn't want anything like that to happen, would we? Best you send everything you've got over to me so I can keep an eye on the wankers."

I'm afraid that the British government doesn't know exactly how tough Grayven is. Their best information is 'Venom Buster enhancile' and her weapons would be perfectly adequate for killing one of those.

The British government doesn't have a tooth-sized black hole bomb, and if they did the hole it could generate would be so small that it might not even kill the person whose mouth it was in.
 
So Sphere is following him to keep an eye and make sure he doesn't pull any Apokaliptian shenanigans?

Is Sphere reporting to anyone or is this of its own initiative?

So the British government doesn't watch the news, have access to the Justice League's public files on the subject, or even a minorly competent intelligence agency given just how public some of his acts have been like in Abarrance or that time he fought off the first? o_O

He never met the First, that was OL. And he - as in, his actual body - hasn't actually been hit all that often; he is a Lantern after all.

Look, I really doubt that a highly-trained agent, especially one that works in the twisty world of so-called-intelligence, would use a suicide bomb as Reaction A, certainly not when what she's reacting to is an offer to share information.

Especially not when she also has multi-function weapon-arms that she can use without dying.

Besides, if she actually had a black hole bomb it would be far smarter to plant it somewhere while invisible and walk away. Not kill herself with it.

He has a power ring. As you have brought up before, they can fabricate just about anything, and thus nothing can be trusted. Especially not something as simple to edit as the Justice League's public files.
 
There's also the fact that Grayvens powers are not static and have continued to grow as time has gone on. Accurate intelligence on his strength and endurance from months ago may well be so out of date as to be worthless.
 
This chapter gives me a thought; Manchester Black's powers are caused by a benign tumour is in brain correct? Has either Grayven or Paul looked into how this is actually being caused and if the benign growth can be replicated in others?

Because Black's telekinetic and telepathic powers are... Well to be honest compared to the standard fare seen in DC they are pretty damn powerful.

He's got at least two data points for telepathy in humans. I'm sure OL has scanned Brainwave and Psimon, so he should also have data points.
 
He cpuld go toe to toe withbsuperman, right? Thats pretty damn powerful.
