I don't suppose this could get worked into a full Renegade episode?
There are A-holes, and then there are cannibalistic demon worshipping pedophiles.Wow how very heroic of Black, he's cleaning house so to speak which is rather impressive considering how much of an A-hole he is. What is it about the UK that produces such glorious arses that are still heroes?

Thank you, corrected.
Works for me as well. Is this any better?
Somewhere around the 100% mark. What's funny is why Grayven finally decides to actively help them.I don't suppose this could get worked into a full Renegade episode?

"You could try that. You're sadly under equipped to face me, but you might get lucky with Chester. Or…" I take a dossier with a summary of the truly appalling stuff I have on the British establishment. "You can take a look at this, and find out exactly how deep the rabbit hole goes."
Wild guess: The JL gets involved and Grayven shows up so he can tell them to their faces about the nature of the people they are defending? What's funny is why Grayven finally decides to actively help them.
Phone call, but yes.Did Renegade have an on screen meeting with Manchester Black? I remember something to that effect. Can someone link me if so?
"This is Grayven."
"You bin bein' a naughty boy?"
I smile. "Chester, me ol' mucker. Whatever gave you that idea?"
"Some fancy lad from the Home Office came down here. They want me to come up with a way to top yeh. Is there something you want to tell me, mate?"
"I might have let the British government know that I had some truly class A blackmail material on.. pretty much everyone in high public office."
"How good we talking here?"
I look around to ensure that no one is close enough to hear me. "Want to see a video of Danielle Goldsmith fisting a donkey?"
"Augh. I didn't need that in me head." There's a slight pause and I imagine him blinking heavily, unable to prevent himself imagining it. "I don't think they'd call me in over a few dirty magazines. They've got that Cyril twit fer that."
"Oh, there's more serious stuff. The highlights include kidnapping, paedophilia, foul magics, murder and cannibalism."
"Fook.. me. Don't do things by half, do yer?"
"I just used the threat to get an edge… To be honest I'm probably going to end up releasing it anyway once I'm sure it'll stick." I think for a moment. Chester does -in his own imprecise and rather bloodthirsty way- try and focus on targets who more or less deserve it. How does he weigh things? Do I count? He knows exactly what sort of person I am from our early sessions. On the other hand… "So. Are you actually going to have a go?"
"You're just scared because you know I'm not like those pansies you usually hang around with."
"True. I'm not completely sure I could beat you." I'm really not. Given his visible frustration when he lost the ability to make me soil myself I'm going to assume that he wasn't faking, but that took everything I could. His telekinetic power is incredible. In a fight, even if he didn't get the drop on me? Dodgy one. "On the other hand, iff.. some of the people on this list suffered.. unexpected strokes…"
He pauses a moment before responding. "Wouldn't want anything like that to happen, would we? Best you send everything you've got over to me so I can keep an eye on the wankers."
I'm afraid that the British government doesn't know exactly how tough Grayven is. Their best information is 'Venom Buster enhancile' and her weapons would be perfectly adequate for killing one of those. At which point she triggers the black hole bomb in her tooth killing them both, because she is a professional government assassin and wouldn't go after a target without some guaranteed way of killing them.
Gonna be honest the way everyone is utterly incompetent in Grayven verse is getting a bit grating.
A normal-person tooth, or a British twisted fang? The British government doesn't have a tooth-sized black hole bomb, and if they did the hole it could generate would be so small that it might not even kill the person whose mouth it was in.
That works, yep.
So the British government doesn't watch the news, have access to the Justice League's public files on the subject, or even a minorly competent intelligence agency given just how public some of his acts have been like in Abarrance or that time he fought off the first?I'm afraid that the British government doesn't know exactly how tough Grayven is. He never met the First, that was OL. And he - as in, his actual body - hasn't actually been hit all that often; he is a Lantern after all.So the British government doesn't watch the news, have access to the Justice League's public files on the subject, or even a minorly competent intelligence agency given just how public some of his acts have been like in Abarrance or that time he fought off the first?![]()
Look, I really doubt that a highly-trained agent, especially one that works in the twisty world of so-called-intelligence, would use a suicide bomb as Reaction A, certainly not when what she's reacting to is an offer to share information. At which point she triggers the black hole bomb in her tooth killing them both, because she is a professional government assassin and wouldn't go after a target without some guaranteed way of killing them.

Especially not when she also has multi-function weapon-arms that she can use without dying.Look, I really doubt that a highly-trained agent, especially one that works in the twisty world of so-called-intelligence, would use a suicide bomb as Reaction A, certainly not when what she's reacting to is an offer to share information.
He has a power ring. As you have brought up before, they can fabricate just about anything, and thus nothing can be trusted. Especially not something as simple to edit as the Justice League's public files. So the British government doesn't watch the news, have access to the Justice League's public files on the subject, or even a minorly competent intelligence agency given just how public some of his acts have been like in Abarrance or that time he fought off the first?![]()

This chapter gives me a thought; Manchester Black's powers are caused by a benign tumour is in brain correct? Has either Grayven or Paul looked into how this is actually being caused and if the benign growth can be replicated in others?
Because Black's telekinetic and telepathic powers are... Well to be honest compared to the standard fare seen in DC they are pretty damn powerful.
"Have you found-?" Doctor Jones turns as he speaks, then cuts himself off as he sees me. He's wearing some sort of cloak and with the hood down I can clearly see through the transparent top of his head and into his metahuman brain. I scan it, and can clearly identify the novel elements which grant his abilities. Mister Black's useful abnormalities were far better integrated, this looks like a cut and shut job by comparison. "Oh."
Depends on the canon, but if you watch Superman vs the Elites...Supes was sandbagging on purpose. Badly. He cpuld go toe to toe withbsuperman, right? Thats pretty damn powerful.
