thing is most relationships with non normal people i.e other superheroes always ends up sucking for them due to some decision or event with five times the frequency of non costume wearing people or usually people with super powers more then the lanterns and bat family

@Maxx Crowley Take heart. The SI is physically a baseline Human too. If they keep dating, I'd be more surprised if she doesn't join the Corps. Which would put her power level substantially above Troia, probably above Melinoe at least in a spar (ie no summoning Hades), competitive with the princesses.

Might even be interesting to watch her adapt and un-learn fighting the stupid way.

The SI hasn't been a baseline human in a long, long time. He's peak human, he's unscryable, he has empathic abilities, he can Avarice-port.

He might not have super speed or strength, but he isn't baseline.

From a pragmatic point, it certainly would be ideal choosing a superpowered mate. Yet Paul has the resources and connections to relatively easily make superhumans, let alone artificial beings and powered armor to shame Tony Stark. That's just for known stuff, never mind when someone might accidentally something else fascinating.

The point is, evolution and genetic legacy is something Paul shouldn't be worried about. Honestly, a partner would be unnecessary if he was solely concerned with having Best Offspring. Seriously, with his scientific & mystical connections and superbiology/tech options? He could start his own Cadmus and make a serious go at creating the "ultimate" possible being.

So in the end, it doesn't matter who Paul romances as he'll certainly put in effort securing the safety of his children (look at Grayven). Heck, he could probably artificially age them or make them smart enough babies to protect themselves anyways.

Point of order: Jade is NOT a baseline human physically. When she used the ring to treat agent orange victims, she also used the ring to optimize, improve and essentially rebuild her own brain to the best specs the ring could produce. Now, we have not seen any overt results, but she is, potentially, as smart as Sivana senior, likely has eidetic memory and other associated perks.

Also: has anyone checked on Jade's patients? Because she rebuilt their brains too and that sounds like an origin story for me. Either for a hero or for a villain, if not for a super society.

Considering what normal sensory deprivation and isolation does to the human mind in just a few days, I'd be surprised if he can still function all that well.
The good news is that it wasn't normal sensory deprivation. It was magical sensory deprivation. He was in a black void but he could still perceive himself and I think he had a window to see the outside world even though he couldn't interact with it. So really it's more like locked-in syndrome than sensory deprivation.

Still sounds like a living hell to me

If I remember correctly, you only get the window when Nabu lets you. I'm not sure if Nabu would let Zatara see 24/7 but if not and he would need to constantly ask to see the outside it woul really reinforce the master slave view point.

Still a whole lot better than completely losing your senses. Seriously, that's a form of torture fit to break minds in very short order.

I imagine not. Of course, the version I read of Herakles getting Hippolyta's belt/girdle was that although he was ready for a fight, the amazons greated him and she offered to hand it over willingly....which pissed Hera off to no end that he was getting an "easy" labor. So she disgused herself as an amazon, told some story about a kidnapping, and then Herc proceeded to kill a whole shitload of them. I imagine that's not the version they/DC us either.

Well then who the hell is this?

....Nevermind. Google says that's Cassie Sandsmark. Now I'm all sorts of confused.
Dude she's shown up in the story before - the ten-twelve year old who went to Themyscira with OL, Superboy, Troia, Wonder Woman and her mother the historian. And she's a canon character from season 2 and has a long history in the comics.

Originally, Hercules lost to the Queen thanks to the magic girdle, seduced it off of her, then enslaved the Amazons. Ares was playing Jiminy Cricket here.

Then Diana met one of her aunts, who told her to ask what really happened.

Herc didn't steal the girdle by trickery, it was given as a lovers gift by the Queen, and the Queen has just let her Amazons assume the worse of Herc all these years.
Wait are you saying DC Herakles isn't as big of a dick as everyone has been telling OL?

Just cause I've lost track, are we in Season 2 now, or further on, since he's back from space? Or is it based on time on earth? Something else?
