Honestly I think this is a pretty good end to my least favourite arc so far, not saying it was bad I just enjoyed the previous arcs more, particularly the arc were para Paul killed Nabu. Good work mr Zoat, although I am worried about Alan.....

Eh, that whole situation was pretty unfortunate. Nabu was generally fighting against the right people, and Paul is usually willing to work with people to achieve shared aims even if they don't see eye to eye. It's just that Nabu took someone who belonged to someone who belonged to Paul, so he swore a crusade before the god of avarice.

  1. No, they just have limited use cases. Remember that Paul could not heal all the people in [Korea Equivalent] due to his lack of personal investment.
  2. That's not really helpful given how there are no trained personnel. That's why you get a doctor first, then the doctor trains others (or develops the tech to make the job easier)
  3. You'r right, it does not. However it goes back to the point that OL already has too much on his plate. He can't deal with fixing a planet right now.
  4. Use proper lists next time please.

The issue is was a bit more complicated then you might think. Both Superboy and Match are partial clones, Cadmus did not have complete DNA and/or there was copy-protection against cloning. Then you have the problem that brains are complicated and trying to fix one is literally brain surgery.

Fixing match requires altering his brain chemistry, his body would fight it, and he does not know if it would revert right after he is done.

They had complete DNA since Bizarro is hinted to exist or have existed, the problem is Kriptonian DNA being tamper resistant unless you have really advanced medical tech.

And Match was degrading so fast because he was a complate clone only done to last even less than bizarro did.

A disposable weapon.

I don't know whether Black Lanterns or Darkseid are creepier. Probably Darkseid is a greater actual threat, but Black Lanterns win on sheer horror.

Lots of evil on this page.

Oh, that's a brilliant way to have Paul go home. Everything he wanted to start is started and going well, and Dox has a decent reason to ask him to go.

It feels like a satisfying ending/point of progression to the arc. Seriously, very neatly done.

Seems it is Paul's turn to reap the consequences of his actions.

Still think Dox is a horrible choice for running an organisation. Advising? Sure. Leading? No. He just doesn't have the people skills. Particularly not in an organisation too young to have established respect for rank and position.
He is treated as a secretary because people would rather wait for Paul to return and hear them out than deal with the anti-social jerk who technically runs the place.

Dude, Match becomes Bizarro if not fixed. He shows up like that in a tie in comic

They don't match what he WANTS at this stage. That doesn't make them wrong.

Err... it kinda DOES? Paul created the OLC because he believed it would help him achieve things he wanted, like making the universe a better place. But this sort of disagreement is why I can't fathom giving up control of the corps if I were in that position; it's one thing to have someone else run it the majority of the time, but if you don't keep final say, how are you supposed to stop it from turning into something that DOESN'T fulfill those goals? Something you never would have wanted to create to begin with? You'd have no choice but to depose the leader YOU appointed, and that would create chaos within the corps and not necessarily even repair it.

This is kind of an awkward thing to say to an alien. Something like "Only a century after their industrial revolution" or "Barely into their digital era" would be more sensible.

Dox doesn't need to be sociable. He needs to be an effective general. Let the SI be the leader everyone turns to for instruction, fire support and comradere, while Dox is the one who selects critical targets and makes sure that the Lanterns have fleet backup. They probably will need professional diplomats for getting support from places close to the Reach, but Dox himself can be deficient so long as people don't actively mutiny against him. Besides, they know that the SI recruited him and trusts him, so he can't be bad at his job.

Sounds like Secretary to me :p

I'm excited for him going back to earth he's probably gonna make a trip to see Jade while he's there and check on the team

Thanks for the hugs but I'm sure I'm not the only one who was thinking it

So is Paul going to bring to Earth that alien woman he met on Maltus like 2 episodes ago who could control shadows?

Paul held back on offering her a orange ring because he didn't know how orange would interact with someone connected to the Shadowlands.

The woman was deeply interested in meeting Richard Swift in the Paragon timeline.

Also... wouldn't Paragon Richard Swift still be possessed by Simon Culp? Could the alien woman sense that and help free him?

It occurs to me that Paul is at least mostly immune to the kind of asshole dox is. He's abrasive and condescending but mostly logical. Paul doesn't really register those two as issues these days. So long as dox is reasonable paul will work something out with him. That's probably why this is at all viable since dox seems to find paul at least a bit aggravating. Paul being willing to bend and harbor no ill will means that he'll be willing to bend to keep things moving.
I am now imagining Dox as Walter from Scorpion in green makeup.

The Renegade is in full agreement with you.

No, he wants to speak to Mister Swift first.
