Found a few more. This is skipping things like "my ring hand/finger" and "my ring-generated XXX" which Paul is rather fond of using. Sorry for accidentally posting this in Story Only. Forgot that I needed to hit back more than once to get through multiple pages.

Wasn't paying attention to that...Are all of those thoughts or is he saying it?
The compulsion COULD be about openly stating ownership of the ring to others. Paul can't say his name because he isn't in the book of destiny (or so goes the hypothesis), the compulsion of the ring is orders of magnitude less powerful.
I wonder if this will result in any actual changes. Maybe creating rings is actually easier than first thought, but locked down? It wouldn't be that hard to make the ring lie about how long and difficult it is to make new ones. She turns away and starts walking towards a piece of machinery whose function I.. have.. no idea how to discern. "No. You can keep it. It's yours."
Propriety unlocked.
My ring flickers for a moment, then stills. Um. Okay?
Sending a data packet isn't a big deal either. She was testing whether he could share things at all, and giving up a ring is more significant than sending data.He already has a power ring so losing one really isn't that big a deal.
1. Unrepresentative samples. You don't generally hear about all the good things they do.Why is it that every time I hear another story about Guardians doing something it's the most idiotic nonsense ever?
Utter fucking idiots, every time. Holy shit.
Not precisely sure, since the search box isn't cooperating, but I think it's that OL never refers to the Ring as HIS. I think he usually refers to it as 'the Ring' or 'this Ring'.
Huh. There's a certain kind of sense to it. It's in the title after all. Although with the errors it would be really hard to confirm. I remember Zoat mentioning that there are some clues in Fool's Canon, but in the second Raul segment he thinks "my ring", so if I were to really try to test it, it would fail.
He does, but then he isn't using his original ring.Huh. There's a certain kind of sense to it. It's in the title after all. Although with the errors it would be really hard to confirm. Depending on how DC!FTL interacts with normal physics... he very well might have.
Thank you, corrected.
Google! You've failed me for the last time!Ha! Right there! He said MY RING. I had to search...not "My ring scans." not "My ring HUD." just plain old "My ring." as in the ring that is MINE.
I'm all happy with myself now. Even if it doesn't count for some reason.
Can you imagine how that would drive Larfleeze to distraction, having something but knowing that you don't own it?Unfortunately, if it is about never referring to the ring as his, then a) even one slip up is enough to make it something you can't reasonably feel clever about people not guessing, and b) "propriety" is not the right word to use to link to that. While obviously, ownership is an important concept to the orange light, I'm also not sure what the point of that compulsion would be. The ring already operates as if it were specifically attuned to him.

Didn't even notice.Sorry for accidentally posting this in Story Only. Forgot that I needed to hit back more than once to get through multiple pages.
Thank you, various times changed.
I don't know if it's just because I saw the previous version, but this doesn't scan quite right. Like, it makes the compulsion seem almost obvious. "the ring and spell eater" reads better as a sentence since switching to using "my" halfway through the sentence isn't something people would do even if refering to something they know isn't theirs as the first item.
The 2 paragraphs should have an extra newline like this:Then Muliebria twists, shoving her left hand through the right sonic cannon construct. "Not bad, Spider-Man. But we-" I form another cannon and pull them out of her arms' reach. She takes a staggering step. "-can… Take…"
Come on, where can I put the prisoners? Other side of the road, on the top of the building. Not.. safe, but safer than being in a confined environment with super strength brawlers. My captives yelp as they go flying backward as Muliebria straightens up under the assault of-. That's a lot of sonic energy.

Partial enlightenment you mean."It's not about control. It's about achieving unity with your desires and-."
"Yes. 'Enlightenment' you call it. What fascinating soul structures your species must have.
Does that mean that saying his own name would also be possible while not wearing the ring? Including the surname?
Yeah, but she wasn't awake when he gave up the ring. For all she knew the other controllers had to bully him into it, or he had to spend an hour psyching himself up or something. She already knew that he could give something up, but him doing it where she could see it meant she could judge how difficult it was for him (and by extension, how well he was resisting the orange light).Sending a data packet isn't a big deal either. Are you married now? We've already established she can look however she wants, so that shouldn't be a problem.
