Sounds about right for Exalted. The gods are a bureaucratic mess, and their bosses are addicted to a video game and ignoring reality.
Oh, I wasn't thinking of them. It would be a perfectly reasonable GM who gave an Infernal Exalted introduction session which involved the players hunting down people breaking Cecelyne's laws, then concluding it with a meeting with the Second Circle who set them the task... And having them see dozens of violations as they walk through his mansion, where the priests patiently explain that they really aren't in total contradiction of what they said earlier.

The point being that people -even superheroes- aren't perfect, and often operate from incomplete information about the situation and each other.

So was rereading Aberration. (Been a while since Unmen have been shown in Renegade.)

Are Claire and Face related? Since they are both metas that can control heat?
I'm also curious about how Uncorporation is doing in Paragon? We know a bunch of people died but I'm curious if any named characters like Petra or Niko Parish were killed. I imagine that while Cranius holds a grudge against YJ he probably blames Kobra as well. Did Sivana use Triple Helix to purchase bio-technology for his Sheeda war? Or did Lex acquire their services for Brain?

Was Otto Fisher paroled in paragon?

How is the state of Intergang in Renegade? Seeing as Adom is not awake to free Adrianne I imagine she and her brother are still labor camps? Seeing how Intergang came to Adom to 'gift' Adrianne for a partnership might we eventually see Adrianne a slave of some alien warlord in Renegade?

Finally, one last thing I'm curious about is Bulleteer. Having never read Seven Soldiers is the steel around her body from a similar experiment to Captain Atom?

It's possible that he might end up growing as a result, gaining the domain of Righteous War. Sure, in DC he's a bad guy because War is seen as bad and he's done a lot of nasty shit, but one of the themes of this story seems to be offering villains the opportunity to grow. Generally in a way that'll benefit the people of earth. Since Earth is still a fragile target amongst the cosmos, having a God who's ready to step up and annihilate all invaders would be a good thing.
Ares represents the slaughter and destruction that war brings, and he's probably too far gone to change. If you want a god of righteous war and violence carried out to secure the peace, Mars is the man you're looking for.
Still not seeing it, you might need a bit more detail.
Orange Snek Waifu want Agent Orange, Orange Snek Waifu GET Agent Orange.

Characters likely to show up in space, short-term:
Paul (duh,) Ophidian, Koriand'r and Komand'r, Larfleeze. Possibly some 'stolen' Construct Lanterns - we saw this before with Dr. Morrow, and if it works and is used often enough it will quite likely ruin Larfleeze's combat power.
And who says Paul will run into only the people he plans to encounter?

Medium-term:
Guardians, Controllers, Green Lantern Honor Guards, Darkstars... Space is big, okay?

Long-term:
Back to Earth for a while, Zamorans, space is really, really big.

Having read neither A Green Sun nor Familiar of Zero, and without having played Exalted, that example tells me nothing. Sorry.

That said, "distaste" is not only the least important of the qualifiers I used but can even be entirely dropped without changing the meaning of what I wanted to convey. To construct a possible example: Suppose that in one of the Exalted rulebooks there is an offhand mention of one country regularly doing something. A savvy player may then note that this is actually breaking a divine taboo or something and would usually warrant gods smiting the country, which they don't. There is no explanation given for this and the fact that the country keeps doing it is established lore. This is weird, but all players learn to ignore it since it doesn't affect the setting as a whole that much, and maybe some future lore might explain it.
What you have done is, in my opinion, the equivalent of writing a campaign in exactly that country that prominently features exactly that discrepancy. In fact, most of the campaign soon desolves into "bringing to light the transgressions against the gods" or something like that. At the end, the players finally succeed in punishing the transgressions and even get to meet the gods. Now they just have to wait for the reward and for the "gods" to explain why they never bothered to do intervene themselves. Instead the gods grow angry and punish them.
After the session, the DM out-of-character admits that he just plain couldn't think of a good reason for the gods not intervening. He could think some rationalizations, but they don't even convince the DM himself.

Sorry for getting a bit elaborate there. Maybe the explains why I'm bothered by this a bit better?
While I understand your analogy and even think you have a bit of a point, all this post really does is show how little you know about Exalted.

If you'd stuck with a DnD analogy it would have made more sense.
In Exalted on the other hand gods are literally one of the least powerful entities in the setting, player characters included.

To put it in more familiar terms, in Exalted gods are barely above DnD commoners within their respective settings.

No.

Less well than in Renegade. Fewer visitors and some companies pulled out, in addition to Cranius losing the ability to uncreate without having Arcane's book to learn from.
We know a bunch of people died but I'm curious if any named characters like Petra or Niko Parish were killed.
Petra suffered fatal brain damage. Niko is more or less alright.
I imagine that while Cranius holds a grudge against YJ he probably blames Kobra as well.
Yes, but he's got other things to worry about.
Did Sivana use Triple Helix to purchase bio-technology for his Sheeda war?
No. The risk of detection was too high. Any anyway, he's perfectly capable of designing his own biotechnology, thank you very much.
Or did Lex acquire their services for Brain?
No. He decided that is wasn't worth risking provoking Doctor Sivana.
Was Otto Fisher paroled in paragon?
In a... Manner of speaking.

That or dead.
Seeing how Intergang came to Adom to 'gift' Adrianne for a partnership might we eventually see Adrianne a slave of some alien warlord in Renegade?
The Renegade isn't really into keeping slave-. Oh, do you mean some other alien warlord? Probably not. With their contact with Apokolips cut off, Intergang is focusing more on conventional criminal business.
Finally, one last thing I'm curious about is Bulleteer. Having never read Seven Soldiers is the steel around her body from a similar experiment to Captain Atom?
No, her late husband designed it. Shortly before he became late. He got enveloped completely.

While you're in a sharing mood any hints on which version of Starfire and Backfire you'll be using for this story?

I'm hoping for some variation of the them from the Teen Titans animated show.
I think it would be the least problematic since they cut out the part where one sister had the other repeatedly gang raped..

Thinking about it, having someone in the SI's ring like Sinestro is in Gravy's would be hilarious. Especially if they got it into their head that they were in a relationship, and was overly emotional about it.

*********************
I call my ring to me without getting out from under the duvet, slipping it on when it gets to me.

"OwO you're so big! Give a girl some time to warm up first."

"
Could you not?"

************************

Ring, scan the building.

Oh, so now you tell me what you want. Would have been helpful an hour ago. I'm not a mind reader you know!

...

Yes, you literally are. That is in fact how we are communicating right now.

"I'm not going any further in this relationship without some real commitment. One of your marriage proposals would due. Would be nice for you to offer something to me for a change."

"
Okay, first, we're not in a relationship. I am a human, and you are a talking power ring that someone decided to inflict a personality upon as a joke on my life. Second, how do you imagine that would work? How can I give a wedding ring to something that is already a ring? You don't have any appendages to put a ring around, and any other arrangement would make you to big to fit on my hand comfortably."

"ARE YOU CALLING ME FAT? Well, have fun walking back to Maltus, because I'm not doing anything for you until you apologize."

A few others: Sinestro, Mother of Mercy, various Orange Lanterns that were chosen by the rings the SI called from Larfleeze, Braniac, Kilowog, Thanagarians, Psions, Gordanians, Spider Guild, Lantern Medphyll, Mogo, and Ranx. For most of these, there's not much time scale, although with the next episode being in Vega I imagine we will see the Psions and Gordanians at least mentioned.

Are power rings capable of supporting true A.I.? I forget what sinestring counts as, so I'm not sure. But I'm 100% down for sappy romance with a power ring if so.

Especially if Paul is the Tsundere in the relationship. I know that would be unlikely, given the whole "enlightenment" thing, but those first two exchanges really endeared me to the concept.

in addition to Cranius losing the ability to uncreate without having Arcane's book to learn from.
So Uncorporation - and the Unmen as a sociocultural phenomenon - are pretty much over then. Without access to the Uncreation process, there's very little to keep them from getting shouldered aside by Lexcorp or Cadmus in the biotech industry. Not to mention that the town itself is pretty much a smoldering abattoir in Paragonverse, based on what I remember.

Thinking further on this, it's a great idea. A way for Ares to gain the pride of those who worship the Greek Pantheon again. Get the various Gods and MetaEngineers of earth to make him weaponry and armour, blessed by all the Gods, and unleash him on those who would invade earth, and gain worshippers off earth, amongst those who're fighting the Reach.

It's possible that he might end up growing as a result, gaining the domain of Righteous War. Sure, in DC he's a bad guy because War is seen as bad and he's done a lot of nasty shit, but one of the themes of this story seems to be offering villains the opportunity to grow.
Well, also because even in mythology everyone hates him; Zeus called him the god he most despises. And if a god isn't even living up to Zeus's standards, that says quite a lot...

There's other, less nasty war gods; Mars has already been mentioned, and he's apparently a better deity all round.

Still quite a few people to check in with. Io, his queen, the Amazons he impregnated.
He already checked in with the Amazons. And got to flabbergast Donna Troy a bit in the process.

"No, I'm planning on leaving on the eighth. Assuming that nothing comes up." I suppose I.. could ask Mister Free to boom tube me part of the way. It would save a good deal of time… Mm, can't hurt to ask. I stop outside my destination and knock on the door with my right fist.

Donna grins. "What, is this your secret Amazon love-" Iola opens the door, her abdomen swollen with a six month old foetus. Donna's eyes widen. "-neeeest?"

"Pavlos!" Iola steps out of her house and carefully embraces me. "It is good to see you!"

This is getting repetitive, and frankly poorly thought out.

What part of Orange Lantern do you just not seem to grasp?
Exactly. He's all about "How do I get what I want?" Combine that with a fairly utilitarian moral outlook, and you have someone who isn't going to care about past transgressions much, but only what can be gotten from the person in the future.

This isn't Red Lantern Paul, who collects the skulls of enemies he particularly dislikes. I suspect he'd be a tad less forgiving.

I just did a lot of googling and watched a few videos on the topic, and I'm not certain how I'm wrong. The cloaca is far too small for a human.
I regret that earlier in my life I had not learned to fully appreciate the hazards of clicking on random videos. :confused:Suffice to say you simply need a large enough snake. Really not a good idea for all sorts of reasons, including that it's probably not too healthy for the snake in question, but apparently not impossible.

What do you mean by "ethically"?
Ethically - of or relating to ethics.
Just because you can do something, doesn't mean that it is ethical to do so, or that it can be ethically justified.

While you're in a sharing mood any hints on which version of Starfire and Backfire you'll be using for this story?
Comics, slightly altered by events in this story.
I'm hoping for some variation of the them from the Teen Titans animated show.

Gordanians are equal opportunity rapists, so... Yay?

They still have the remains of the Flesh Titan. And the damage was spread over a limited area.

Gordanians are equal opportunity rapists, so... Yay?

By this statement alone I sense the SI will be killing a LOT of Gordanians with nary a thought. The chances that they were only raping the Tamaranian Princesses seems nonexistent so a good ole' fashion killing spree on whatever place Paul finds the Kori sisters and other alien women. Hopefully purged of Gordonians with extreme rail gun prejudice. Like 20% the speed of light railguns, not the safe for in atmosphere stuff Paul has been using.

Orange Light Snek Heartbeats making a comeback?

So this situation will be more along the lines of hentais that have a group of men raping a woman to mentally break her and then have that woman 'lure' a sister/friend/mom to also be raped by the group of men as some sort of twisted act of camaraderie or affection?

Its certainly more believable than having blackfire get Starfire raped just because and having the group of said of rapist following the orders of blackfire for no apparent reason.

And i am not looking forward to that episode, i wonder if i should skip it...

@Mr Zoat how far and how graphic are you going to take this?

DC comics has always been kind of skeevy as a source material.

That is why i limit myself to the animated series, less SAN damage.

I mean you where here right? Hellblazer? Demon Constantine raping his niece?

...so, we just got told to stop talking about sexual intercourse with (presumably consenting) snakes, and now instead we're talking about rape? In what universe does this make sense? Seriously, the mods just had to tell us to stop. Let's not make them do it again for at least a week.
