Magic is possible for other species, obviously (even if it seems humans have the most developed magics around). However, it's telling that only Earth-based life can be ascended to new godhood. I mean, I could buy Danner and Garrick formulas only working on Earth-based life because of it being developed for and by Earth-based life. But new godhood ascension is a combination of Apkolyptian and Maltusian technology. It shouldn't preferentiate humans, unless there was an objective reason for it.

It's pretty easy to figure out why it prefers humans, if you know about the New Gods from the comics.

The world of the Old Gods was the third world. New Genesis and Apokalips are the fourth world. Earth is the 5th world.

Earth and the New Gods have always been connected.

Like for example the fact that some humans- Billion Dollar Bates, Pied Piper, and Sunny Sumo, just happen to know the anti-life equation instinctively.

The japanese super young team are the Forever People of the 5th world.

The successor of Highfather is a human Source Elemental, Tachion.

Bart Allen once summoned the Infinity Man with the Forever People, resulting in an Infinity man that was superfast and had "Oh shiny!" attention deficit.

And quite frankly, the idea that in the entire universe, with probably trillions of deities, only humans can achieve apotheosis is pretty damn laughable.

It's also not canon, in either this story or regular DC canon; there are alien gods, some of which were once mortals. X'hal of Tamaran has already been mentioned.

I dunno, humans are weirdly compatible with being made into gods. There might well be a link between the new gods and earth. Even if it's just earth turns out to be a new god bio experiment run amock.

Oh I found a bit of DC lore that DC somehow never ever used as far as I'm aware of, but I thought Zoat could have plenty of fun with-

Lex gave up on Superboy being his son, so he decided to engineer himself another half alien child

A half coluan child from the looks of things.

Lexiac anyone?
Or just another Brainiac, possibly.
Brainiac 3 is the son of Brainiac 2, who is a clone of Braniac 1.

*"They do know."*

And another point against Oh El. Where are those long term positive effects you were talking about? Because so far I am only seeing long term negative effects. Oh El is like jumping right into the bad effects of "magical and industrial modernization" without any benefits save I dunno, a few robots becoming legal US citizens? We didn't even have ya know, that genie slash superhero becoming a legal US citizen yet.

Paul totally forgot about homo magi right? Or homo magus? You know the magical human subspecies that live in another dimension or in hidding?

The species Klarion is a member of in other continuities? And just because that he was a mayor annoyance even if he was a badly trained teen in most continuities?

●●●HAIL GRAYVEN!●●●

"Oh, still sore about the sword? Was killing your sister worth it, in the end?" Grayven taunts as he avoids the demonic bug. "You see, branding yourself with a magic symbol were-"

"AHHH!" The 'soft' mageslayer rounds hit the moron chest right in the pentagram symbol ruining it and leaving the demon out his control. Then sword of the Second and Third... and gone demon.

"-anyone can see it is generally a bad idea." Building steath drones equiped with mageslayer rounds soft enough to leave human targets alive? A pain in the rear end and many hours of work going over both of his rings database and Father Box help to get the right materials plus Sunset Shimmer working on it. Defeating a demon cultist in less than a minute? Priceless.

Who?

More like 'never knew'. None of the magic users he knows have mentioned anything along those lines. Doylist, I'm not using the concept because it contradicts 'anyone can do it'.

He checked that the Seven Soldiers origin isn't being used. Beyond that, he doesn't know much about the character.

Grayven doesn't usually torture people to death. He also doesn't have Mageslayer rounds.

Wow, a guy who's pure evil.

Am I the only one who thinks that's an excuse to make his characterization easy as hell?
It's how Vegeta became Super Saiyan, since he wasn't "Pure of Heart" like Goku:

Or TFS Vegeta:

The world of the Old Gods was the third world. New Genesis and Apokalips are the fourth world. Earth is the 5th world.

Earth and the New Gods have always been connected.
There's also the Godwave, which explicitly mentions alien Gods being created by it.

Earth is literally the center of the DC multiverse, and Humans are the center-point of the Presences plans, so why would it be laughable that that comes with some perks compared to all the races that don't have those things going for them?

Being the local multi-verses buttmonkey's has to have some up side after all. :lol

Earth is the 5th world. Once New Gods go Kaput, Earthlings become the Next Gods.

Even though this makes our grandchildren gods or something, it still somehow feels less significant than us being the Fifth Race, after the Asgard, Ancients, Furlings, and Nox. And it affects the plot less than us being the Fifth Element required to blow up the ultimate evil demon planet thing.

Aliens have been shown becoming Gods and demigods. Is just that the comics are ya know, made by humans for humans?

By the way how they did justify so many humans getting the grennies power ring?

Hi! You are now picturing Paul dressed only in orange straps, saying "Leeloo Dallas Power Ring." Have a nice evening. :)

Could be worse, could be Zardoz Paul.

Go right ahead. I might retaliate with FanFicReviewSins.
