**I should be gone. But it turns out that someone decided to assign the one witness to my crime as my probation officer. Which means there's a nice strong memory of what I was like when I did it in your mind. And apparently that was enough to… No, it's not that, is it? You stupid whore, you actually put it back in my head. You were the one giving me the bad dreams. I raped and murdered your mother in front of you and you actually did the one thing that might undo my telepathic neutering. Thank you.**
Okay, J'onn's daughter is officially an idiot.

And J'onn needs a good yelling at for being a continual absentee parent.

Well that's not good. Hope Kon's ok, he doesn't have OL's telepathic defenses. Hopefully the pain just knocked him out.

@Mr Zoat can you give us a cliffnotes version on what's going on? The sudden surge of new characters and Paul's induced telepathic communications barrier have made it nearly impossible for me to understand what is going on.

Do Martians not believe in capital punishment? A serial rapist/killer stronger then most of your law enforcers is a rather bad thing to leave as an evil sealed in a can. Especially when you leave the child of one of his victims as his guard and she decides to bring him back so she can try and fail to off him. Since the nice guy was too nice to kill, she brought back the the Martian Hannibal Lector.
So the non-telepath in a telepathic society turns out to be a psychopath, completely lacking empathy. Makes sense.

NO, he was on the Martian Manhunter's level since he was his twin. But he was nutzo and was a serial killer. He raped and killed J'onn Jones wife in front of his daughter. Since he was rather blatant about it, he was caught but the government wiped his mind and sealed his telepathy and made him do community service shoveling the poop of vicious endangered animals rather then you know, killing him.

And then stuck said daugher as his guard, and she had a copy of his mind since he was broadcasting everything while kill-raping her mother. Which she decided to stick back in to him so he comes back and she has an excuse to kill him apparently. But she was, you know rather not up to the task.

Normally Zoat's various writing quirks don't bother me, but I have to say that this insistence on almost never stating who the speaker is makes understanding character and dialogue-heavy chapters a chore rather than a delight.

Ohhhhh, so M'gann's cousin is a fucking idiot, and the Martian criminal justice is a joke. Got it.

eh, really it sounds like the only reason that the personality death was reversible was because some idiot kept what was essentially a backup of his pre wipe mindstate handy and shoved it back into his head. Under normal circumstances personality death is just as effective as body death, with the added bonus of getting somone who can do a vital but normally impossible job on the surface.

I feel like everyone blaming J'onn's daughter for this being a bit off. She probably didn't realise being around him would turn him back to normal

For the record, I have only minor issues working out who's talking, and that's mostly because it's vaguely unclear how many people are in the conversation.

That said, telepathic murderape. Her death must have been horrific.

Ma'alefa'ak - Malefic, J'on 's brother - was the telepathic murderapist of his wife in front of his daughter. He got caught cause it was a 'crime of passion', rather than truly premeditated, so he got full mindwiped and telepath-blocked by their court, and sent off on permanent community service (the wildlife preserve they're on now).

Jonn's daughter, Khym, also a Manhunter now, got assigned as his probation officer, somehow (terrible, terrible decisions). She, as the witness to aforementioned murderape, essentially re-implanted his personality and criminal behaviour back into his mindwiped head, either out of fear or a desire for an excuse to kill him. She wasn't good enough to do the job, and now the psychotic not-quite-Burning Martian is free.

There is also a bunch of White civilian's caught up in the clusterfuck because they were using the preserve as a way to meet and plan social activism against racism.

**Oh, the self delusion. You really believe that the greatest conclave of telepaths on the planet would have left any of my original consciousness intact.** He appears to dismiss her, focusing his attention on M'gann. **And you, M'gann M'orzz. You've become impressively strong. But you lack a certain KILLER INSTINCT-**
^FTFY
When I read this, i though 'Maan this is some hardcore JoJo shit'
**I put poor little M'yri'ah J'onzz through every hell a mind can experience before I killed her and it was glorious. But I couldn't hope to hide what I'd done. The Manhunters dragged me before the Assembly of Minds. They didn't think much of my 'but I really wanted to' defence. The punishment for a crime like mine is total personality death.**

Shit, what did M'gann do?
Well, teenagers are idiots. This further confuses me, though, on who-did-what.

But, it wasn't left in a can. Because....

This. Unless you consider the daughter who witnessed the events to be the can.

Imagine the same scenario, but the personality getting dumped into, say, mindwiped Megan. Should mostly work just as well. (Outside martian antisocial personality disorder having a biological base.)

What is normal for a spider is chaos for a fly. :p

"Teekl annoyed now."

**Where did that Earth animal get a flamethrower from?!?!?!**
"Teekl wants Flamethrower."

"What?"

"Orange man heard what Teekl want."

**AWAKEN, MY MASTERS!**

"Okay this is really getting ridiculous."

As a side note: OL really needs to somehow get selective barriers. Cause right now its all or nothing. Can hear convo Oooor be protected from crippling telepathic attack.

Choose one.

I feel that the Martians held a massive idiot ball in letting the traumatized daughter of the victim be the guard for the deranged psychopath that rape-murdered her mother.

@Mr Zoat what was their reasoning in allowing this to happen?
