seven prehensile tongues
A little bit excessive don't you think?
The Face would be jealous.

Thinking about it:

I suspect this is a Light operation. Most groups and individuals that have access to demons aren't likely to have much use for the Starro samples. The Light does have a use for them, and may well have suffered a similar loss of their previous samples as happened in the Renegade timeline. They may be looking for a replacement. And with Satanus as a member they obviously have access to demons.

I have to post, just to comment, finally, someone else who's watched Roswell Conspiracies. That series was awesome, and no one seems to reference it ever.

I don't think anyone could really be an atheist in this world. All atheists worth a damn would update their beliefs based on real evidence of the existence of god(s). This world is full of such evidence therefore no atheists.
And yet when OL introduced himself as an atheist other people knew what it meant in relation to his belief system, or lack thereof. Therefore atheists exist in Earth-16.

Not unreasonable, considering most people treated those ancient religions the same way we do on Earth-Prime, and magic had very little exposure outside of the knowledgeable circles.

Now, any atheist that doesn't start redefining their belief structure following the proliferation of magical knowledge really has no excuse. And they should totally be shopping around for the best afterlife.

Gods? Wizards, elementals, Endless, Superman. The gods are powerful assholes with reality-warping power, you can worship them if you want but it doesn't make them necessarily "God" in every sense, particularly the deist sense.

The Source Wall and what's beyond it might qualify, but that's not widely known.

That's actually something really interesting to consider.

How are the old gods gonna react once magic starts becoming a thing again? Like, Thor-worship is gonna be on the RISE in the next decade.

I'm not saying they're "gods", I'm saying they're worshipped and by OL using a phrase of worship towards Eris he's paying her homage and thus makes him a follower of Hellenism. As a follower he is no longer an atheist.

I presume he'll argue that he follows/has a relationship with her, but does not worship, just like with the Ophidian.
Might even get away with that argument too, given how much Eris likes him.

No, those are the Werewolves. Oni were in one episode, where Fitz takes Nick's place for a mission. I couldn't find a picture.

Took me ages to finish it. We were just getting towards the end in the UK when some idiot few a plane into a building and it got cancelled. And you just try finding a stream.

That thing needs more SI.

plural noun: notches
  1. 1.
an indentation or incision on an edge or surface.
"there was a notch in the end of the arrow for the bowstring"

I don't think OL can be considered an Atheist anymore, at least not in the modern sense.

I would describe him as a relatively casual Left-Hand Path Occultist. His relations to spirituality are ultimately of the nature of pragmatic acknowledgment and equivalent exchange, not of actual worship in the classical sense.

Or you would need to invent a whole new word, (like "pragmatheist" :lol), to describe OL's attitude.

More of a blessing, not faith. You don't need faith in your goddess when she gives you a hickey and her card.

You do, however, need faith to believe that appealing to Eris is going to make things better. :V

It strikes me that Dannering the host of a demon is probably not the best idea?

Etrigan isn't a typical demon though.

There's a universe in which he's that world's answer to superman, well actually two universes- Superdemon. Merlin, realizing the planet Kamelot was doomed, sends Etrigan to earth, where he bonds with a preacher's son in Kansas, where with a simple incantation he can assume a form with power beyond mere terrestial demons....He can more than hold his own against an Ultraman who was a kryptonian vampire.

Probably. I mean, what would Demons do with frozen Starro slush? Most of them are sufficiently pre-modern that they can't handle firearms, they aren't likely to have a xenobiology lab hidden somewhere.

While true for the most part, when Anton Arcane died he went to hell and got promoted to demon.

And honestly, I doubt many DC comics mad scientists make it through the pearly gates.

Oh found another use for Starros- Checkmate made a drug from Starros that allowed their operatives to communicate telepathically, however an antidote needs to be administered before the new telepathic network summons the Starros to Earth.
