Well, they might after you give them your manufactories. And their iron fist are the Adepta Soritas. Battle-nuns? Huh. Interesting?

No. Shoosh. They'd try to kill you and everybody else on the planet. Stop thinking about nuns in armor.

"Huh." You say aloud, blinking at the cannoness's frozen face. "Militant nuns. That's new."

You wonder what Cia's going to say about this.

Is it just me or does Vita seem to have a thing for the Sororitas?

So since the silent humans seemed like scared slaves, and the Eldar's first priority was sensory indulgence, that'd mean Dark Eldar then?
Not assuredly.

This seems to be an Eldar Corsair Prince. They're in between Eldar and Dark Eldar, trading between the two sides, and often engaging in piracy and occasionally slavery to provide rescources to both sides. There was a world mentioned in the Dante novel, where an Eldar Corsair prince who was bored set up a mixed-species pirate community he ruled over as a fair ruler because he got bored and decided that it'd be fun to play king for a few decades. Then when the Imperium attacked the pirates, he left and went back to being a corsair.

buuuuut. Corsairs can fall victim to the lure of Slaanesh to an extent.

If we are going to try to do diplomacy with the locals I think pretending to be an Explorator in a recovered DAoT ship is our best bet. Also we should try talking to the Administratum, they are somewhat less likely to look a gift horse in the mouth. We could trade them say psychic shields, spreading that around is only a net good even if you give it to dogmatic imperials since Chaos is worse even than them and that is the only people the tech is going to be used against.

We can even truthfully say we got the shielding from an old DAoT ship, and our techpriest crew will back us up.

Also!

Make sure to ask about the Emperor and for a meeting with a missionary to tell us of what we have missed since our absence in the galaxy. The Ecclesiarchy would unironically be very ready and eager to speak with us about their faith, so long we keep an open mind.

that should be 3/4.
We earned Cybernetics.

Also damn it, the demon got named.
(Hundreds of turns later, after finally solarizing the scrapcode generator)
"Hey there, scrappy. Been a while since one of your lot got banished back to this ass-end of the Warp. Let me see your history here...born during the Heresy, left drifting uselessly in space for a few millennia, completely forgotten by all sapient life for most of it until they put you inside a station to ruin it. No one ever got close enough to hear your Name, and no one ever asked, and then...you were a chew toy to an artificial intelligence for several centuries! It even gave you a new Name, as is its right after so comprehensively humiliating you. Seriously, this kind of thing is what you were meant to defile and you couldn't even do that properly. Great job, Bongo! The Grandfather said he wants a word with you, by the way. He is most displeased with this 'Vita's' creation of the Mark II Anti-Empyreal Panacea, which is at least in part your fault."

That said, yes. Let's roll with the Explorator explanation and see if we can spread the psychic shielding around. Admittedly, "sharing tech" is out of character for the AdMech we'd be pretending to be, so we just might have to make it a trade instead of the self-serving altruism it really is.

Personally, I'm on the side of Binding Bongo for now, so that we can eventually find a way to grant Daemons True Death later. Destroying it now would just banish it back into the Warp.

Let's assume we only do 1 Research action next turn, cause we only have three actions and a lot of stuff to do. (Explore, potential diplomacy, potential building)

What do we want to research with 265 RP?

I'd like to at least start on one of the two paths to more RP. (machine spirits or human simulation implants)

Bongo also reacts, swelling with power at an unprecedented rate before lashing out at the vault around him. His location inside the gellar field gives him an advantage over the rest of the demons around, and he manages to score a few nasty blows. But you over-engineered the hell out of it. It can take the hits.

Did we get any more research progress from Bongo's attempts or have we pretty much plucked all the fruit off this proverbial tree?

I imagine Corsairs might have some slaves, but yeah, DE is a good bet, sadly.

Could also be DE-inclined Corsairs, but that's a very subtle difference that doesn't mean much to us. We know they are not Craftworlders, that much is for sure.
Damn it, got Eshin'ed.

Not assuredly.

*Eshin and I get Vindicare'd*

*I cough up blood, wheeze dramatically*
"How-how many assassins ARE there in this thread?"
*dies*

Ok, I think this turn should have one or two diplomacy actions, one construction to rebuild all the shielding and maybe either a research turn or exploration.

We obviously need to get Cia some minions to lead into battle

Bongo is a huge bonus to psy-shield tech if we are research that. It probably combos well with 'faith as a shield' (ie teaching machine spirits devotion to the emperor) psy-shielding if we had some sisters of battle on hand too.

4 reality tumors and the nascent 5th one disagree.
So if we research machine spirit psy-shielding, and then "faith as a shield" so those machine sprites will pray to the emperor with every aspect of their being and then populate the galaxy with more of those machine sprites than exists humans, do you think that might allow for deity-forming the GIoM?

I think we need to unlock regenerating psy-shields before trading them since no one else has the DAoT super-manufactories we have which makes it practical to bulk create and repair psy-shields.

-[] Mechanized agriculture (150 RP) You can synthesize small amounts of food with the modules attached to your crew quarters, but that doesn't scale to larger populations. You don't have the understanding to automatically grow and harvest food, but surely you can figure it out? (Unlocks blueprints for orbital & ground-based food production. Unlocks more technology for improving yield, optimizing for small-scale cultivation in zero-gravity, and generally making human populations self-sufficient in low-resource environments).

This tech is duplicated.

Sadly the galaxy is big, we might be better off making our own 6th one instead of continually fighting off the 5th ones infection.

If you're that ambitious, why waste it on the emperor? He's an incredibly terrible asshole, and if we managed to get that much psychic influence to throw around, we wouldn't have any need for him, either.
