I rather expected they would be joining Lu Bu who has kind-of/sort-of gone rogue on Ding Yuan to fight rebels and bandits in the region.

Well the bandits in our area are either destroyed or scattered. So Lu Bu might go back in Ding Yuans direction? Yellow Turban and bandit armies facing Ding Yuan so might need help. Though Lu Bu could not help Ding Yuan I guess? Be weird not to unless something is blocking the way or big enough threat that Lu Bu has to not help Ding Yuan right away.

Is a good option! Plus if we help dong become the next Emperor that make us his heir? At least a possible one?
It's unknown who Dong's children are, we know he had family members Lu Bu purged, but it's unknown who they actually were.

So even if he adopts us, chances are we're not his heir. Further I doubt he'd survive long enough to formally dethrone the emperor, that didn't happen until 40 years from now OTL, they kept him around until after Cao Cao died.

Bruh, just wait for Papa Dong to be overthrown by Lu Bu (hopefully), and during that time we build up relations in the court with important characters, mentor/siblingerize the emperor, and move to build our powerbase back in our home commander and others near it.

This assumes Papa Dong needs overthrowing or that Lu Bu will be the one doing it. We cannot assume that things will happen the way they did OTL there are too many butterflies for that to happen.

It requires two things. Liang Province rebellion and royal court infighting to meet the way they do.

Though that'll be a bunch of potential if He Jin still lives and has Papa Dong as his new buddy replacing Yuan Shao.

We should try to focus on Sichuan province that pretty much free real estate.
Nanman tribe is actually loyal if you can win their heart.
Of course they are totally backward province from central plain perspective.

It's assumed Dong Zhuo has at least one daughter (married to Niu Fu) and one son (Dong Bai's dad). It's presumed his son died sometime after his granddaughter was born, and sometime before he adopted Lu Bu.

Like with a few historical characters so far, Dong Bai's age has been adjusted to be closer to Liang Shu's (adjusted that literally years ago when people first started discussing her potential as a waifu in this thread)

So that's what April fools this year is. Our Avatars flipped upside left or is it right? It keeps changing every time the page is refreshed.

I read some isekai three kingdom novel that Two Qiaos that CaoCao try to married actually come from big family in Wu territory.
We see that number one and number two of Wu like Sun Ce and Zhou Yu married to Qiao family.

If we can married Two Qiaos then we can control Wu territory more easy.

you are thinking way into the future we are a big fish in a very tiny pond, our path to any power is against most of the people between us and them (for example the yuan brothers) and we are in the sphere of ding yuan with dong zhuo having his eyes on it and maybe entering into an alliance with the Gongsun clan (whenever we find out the results)

If we're going to be sticking our nose into the mess that is the rebellion in Liang province, we'd probably be running into the Ma clan: Ma Teng and, more importantly, Ma Chao. Who is all of 8 years old right now...um...
That'll take a while. You could even try and drag more people in the mess out of a motive for more merits by offering to call up more volunteers to send them to die in a foreign land.

Our path to power will involve at some point hugging one of the two Yuan's thigh. Everyone did that! We will have to, too. Sun Ce did it, Cao Cao did it and Liu Bei did it.

The Yuans were the top dogs, without question. In wealth, they had no equal, but there are lower ones on the totem pole that could be useful. Gaz already introduced the one of the Yangs of Hongnong. But there are also the Cui of Boling, the Li of Runan, the Lu of Kuaiji, the Sima of Henei and the Zhou of Lujiang which all held substantial posts throughout the empire and could offer patronage. All of them lesser than the Yuans, but considering their power that doesn't say that much.

But currently, as Thanatosra stated, Ding Yuan and Dong Zhuo are the major players we should be concerned about. We will likely have to pick where we will go. We have the offer of joining Ding Yuan and becoming an officer under him, which would have us fight alongside him, or help out against the Yellow Turbans in other provinces by joining Dong Zhuo.

Of course, there are likely other options, but I think this would be the next big choice for us.
