right now, its more of a transitory period.

If you remember the recent Music-off Challenge, Cai saw howbling Qi thought of being her subbordinate. Cant remember the specifics reguarding all the stuff, but it was an important event.

I was hoping for spymaster cause we are going to the army after training and there no avoiding that.

I think that's not an inaccurate assumption. We are currently building up her music build more, though that doesn't mean we are completely abandoning our espionage skills (at least, I would hope not)

Like TimEd said though, it's transitory and we're all still trying to determine what kind of build we want for her

Doesn't being Cai's vassal avoid that? Cai already cancelled the debt so after the two years in Sect, we would be getting our fief. Unless you meant something else?

I understand that, but why y'all stop training bow and throwing knives ? Is it y'all focusing music till it s rating or below that?

I think it's more along the lines of a master spy than spy master. Ling Qi is a sneak, perceptive and versatile enough to be able to do a variety of tasks. She isn't a politician like the Nobles, and administrator of subordinates like Cai or the person who knows everything like Fu Xiang. She gets task and she does it without anyone knowing she did anything. Now it seems we will be building her to influence people with her music and maybe even spy on dreams if we choose that patron.

We stop training bow because we have to focus our build, and by training to be an archer, we have to split off from either music or spy build. So archer build got the short end of that stick.

Also I don't think we'll be making any plans of investing on our martial weapons anytime soon, cause our music is currently our greatest weapon. Why not invest in it more? The only thing that would enable us to train martial weapons is for "prestige purposes"

From what I read of her in part one, she love the thrill of stealing, wasn't the first moon y'all pick the one thieves.

Thank you for explaining that.

OK now I got to ask this, what her main element ? Is it moon or darkness , I am hoping it moon.

Head: 4
-Wind(HDWx2), Water(CDEx2)

Lungs: 9
-Dark(FVM), Music(FVM), Dark(FSS), Cold(FSSx2), Moon(PLR, CDEx2), blank

Spine: 7
- Dark (SCS), Wood(TRFx2, SESx2), Music (SESx2)

Heart: 8
- Water(FVM), Dark(FVMx2), Wood(TRF), Fire(AC),Music(HDWx2), blank

Arm: 7
- Water(ACx2), Dark(FSSx2) blank 3

Leg: 6
-Darkness (SCSx2), Moon(PLRx2, SCS), blank

Here's the answer to your question.

I think many of us are simply trying to build her way more naturally based on LQ herself and what opportunities we get. Her job and build naturally rise from that, as opposed to say focusing the build to be a spy master or something else, although I believe some people are more focused like that.

That's our current meridians:

9 Darkness (3 SCS, 3 FSS, 3 FVM)
6 Moon (3 PLR, 2 CDE, 1 SCS)
5 Music (1 FVM, 2HDW, 2 SES)
5 Wood (3 TRF, 2 SES)
5 Water (1 FVM, 2 CDE, 2 AC)
2 Cold ( 2 FSS)
2 Wind (2 HDW)
1 Fire (AC)

We are likely to unequip AC soonish (currently we don't care because we have surplus of Heart/Arm), so that's 2Water/1Fire that will be gone. We are also getting 1 more meridian of PLR this turn (very likely to be moon), and next turn we would be getting yet another PLR and TRF/SCS/CDE. It's unknown if CDE is water or moon, or SCS is Darkness or moon.

So, next turn we'll have 8-10 Moon meridians, and 9-10 Darkness meridians, assuming that we don't train any new art. This would make Darkness/Moon our clear primaries.

Worth noting that our Cyan grade material Domain Weapon relies on darkness meridians for direct power (+5 per to offense, half that for defense).

I am hoping that we'll find a suitable art that is wind natured, as right now our wind nature seems somewhat academic, rather than something we're living. Because of the patronage of moon and ice spirits, I think? (I believe we have some unequipped, but only one equipped?)

Xuan Shi+Zhengui
If there's anything we need based on meridians, it's more Music, which we're probably gonna get in Dreaming

Anyways, have another Xuan Shi drawing. Now combo'ed with Zhengui.

Xuan Shi is totally showing off trying to look cool even with the way he poses , while Zhengui's like "Get off my back"

I'm also starting to notice that I've been drawing Xuan Shi a lot recently. Don't know if it's favouritism or I just like his design.

@yrsillar more Xuan Shi love

This last arc made him obvious husband material in my book.

Right now we're between being a spy build focused on sneaking around, and a spymaster build that focuses on building contacts/informants. It's likely that we'll have elements of the other, this is more a question of focus.

This is, in my mind, just another case of Cai vote where the first personable character with lots of screentime dominates voter space/advertising. Cai was the first offer made, with multiple characters offering Cai-route explication, and therefore she got an action every week for many weeks before even the option to check out another offer was available, so Gu Tai actions were never taken and there were no Sect actions at all. (Sect at least has a strong story reason not to, as it's sort of the 'default' with story rules against allowing influence, and the weak marriage offer is just a function of the haphazard plotting yrsillar's mentioned, I think...he worked with what he had, so I'm not trying to blame.) Sect got more support because of Xin, though, because the character had been introduced long before the option. Xin and Sixiang have motivated a lot of voter decision making processes but Bloody and Grinning Moon never had a character to advance their interests. So Bloody and Grinning end up unarguable hopeless causes.

bleh. just frustrated that every meaningful vote can be predicted like this

To be fair, if you are talking about 'introduced characters', this is Sixiang vs Xin vs Jiao.

What's actually happening there is that having Grinning/Hidden/Dreaming options right now means that we aren't likely to get a new phase of the moon for a long time, as instead of 'new phase', this is a vote about doubling down on an already existing aspect. However, while our EPC is already influenced by Grinning/Hidden, and as such those are 'proper' doubling down- and likely stronger choices- the only reason we have access to dreaming is because Narratively Ling Qi has been very heavily going into being an artist, and so she still has that option.

Yeah the final quest is meant to be about doubling up, you get dreaming too because of plr and sixiang

To a lot of us, we voted dreaming because Ling Qi truly is a musician as much as a sneak, and more than an explorer, and so we want that to be represented in her Moon's phases.

The problem with our build is that just about every individual here has a completely different idea of how they want to take it, leading to Ling Qi running about and grabbing whatever Arts and items she can get her hands on like a schizophrenic magic-hoarding kleptomaniac. Also, lots of the high-quality arts we've built stuff around were pretty much handed to us by the QM anyways instead of us deciding on them and we've mostly just been rolling with it.

Edit: The most important thing to remember is that we need to get Ashen Shadow Art, and you should vote for it at every opportunity.
