So two Count clans and a Ducal clan are going to be announcing in public that they're wooing Ling Qi. And that the prospective spouses want to marry into the Ling, rather than her, the fresh Baron, marrying into them.
The gossiping will be off the charts.

[X] The fountains, where the strains of stringed instruments rose, and pairs danced in courtly elegance.

If I remember correctly, we already had a more energetic dance during a time in the limimal. Trying the other type of court dance with stringed instruments would be a new experience IMO.

"We know the truth, the real pick of the Ling clan is the eldest. Two children with extremely high cultivation potential from nowhere. Either both fathers had secret bloodlines or mama Ling is the earthly embodiment of the nurturing mother!" Exclaimed a noble.

[X] To a blazing brazier, where percussion rolled out, and partners circled in energetic motion.

I kinda want to see them doing something more Emerald Sea-ish

"Very rudely, in my experience," Ling Qi joked quietly.

The problem with her notions of cyclic ending and their interaction with Cai Renxiang's sword arts was a bit, well…

Her Frozen Soul made its statement, and Cai Renxiang's met it with something akin to a 'Yes. And?' Before running her over, unless she'd had time to build toward more of a crescendo.
Yeah, I thing the problem here is less CRX and more LQ. Ling Qi is really scary in battle, but she isn't much of a duelist. She is more of a controller, taking her time to build up and weaken her opponents. Which is very powerful and let's her easily deal with multiple enemies and surprise peers, but against someone like CRX who is very focused on dispelling, pushing right through her opponent abilities, and advancing the fight violently, she is in a very unfavourable match up.

I like bold. Bold is good.

Maybe I missed it, but when was it implied that any of the Best Bois would marry into Ling?
