So again, you know she's been experimenting with impurity cores since she was in the Outer Sect right? At least half her cultivation is built on studying this stuff now, acting like she's a toddler who needs to be kept away from a bottle of bleach is pretty silly.

The only argument I can think of for not giving her the core is that she's probably got about 50 piled up in her lab, but the Liminal organs seem like much rarer cultivation reagents.

With the war I expect Li Suyin to have more impurity cores then she knows what do with. I would already expect her to have a giant pile of them.

Is the impurity core so much different from the ones Suyin can get from the Sect?
Because in that case it would be a waste to choose it here.

Suyin just said that she is lacking understanding on the liminal abilities of the underworld creatures.
Even if the core has some liminal properties, the liminal organs are clearly the most important in that regard.
That we can use it to regain some cultivation and improve our Dreamwalking is a really good bonus.

It's a spiritually aspected Abyssal Beast, the kind that are the hardest to chase down and corner usually because they're either too big to take down in a casual hunt, or too good at escaping to let you finish the job. Hell yeah it's way more valuable than the more common beasts you can harvest.

i wouldn't be surprised if the core itself is liminal aspected as well.

More importantly, Suyin's cultivation is about getting material things on the slab and poking and prodding them for their secrets. A spiritually specced beast that left a material core behind? You'd better believe that'll be a rare prize to get while her Cultivation Base has room to expand to incorporate new ideas.

A no brainer, IMO. We need as much information as possible before the war starts and Li Suyin is going to make much better use of it than we are able to.

I loved this chapter, especially since I recently reread the beginning of the quest and was reminded just how Li Suyin started out, seen her after the attack on her house and losing her eye…
And now experiencing this absolutely hardcore version of her was absurdly refreshing. She really came a ridiculously long way, from a wallflower to a badass Frankensteinian mad scientist.

She earned this core.
Besides, a track record of people helping us actually getting nice things out of it will not hurt.

Suyin came to help us as a friend. She took time out of her very busy schedule to enter a possibly dangerous place to help us. It is our personal job and duty to clear out this underground infection/Beast. She came because we asked her to.

We're getting Piper friendship, potentially bonuses to site development from that, and a sealed entryway into the Abyss. Even if that isn't specifically beneficial to Ling Qi directly, those are all still major benefits.

Plus, this is a creature that basically cultivates the way the Ith do with impurity, right? Are we sure we really wanna use anything from it for cultivation? That seems potentially spiritually unsanitary.
