Threads Of Destiny(Eastern Fantasy, Sequel to Forge of Destiny)

Voted best in category in the Users' Choice awards.
Wasn't it also referred to I think in a Meizhen pov, when she meets lq and starts living together? That spreadsheet is a fact!!
No, LQ wasn't using spreadsheets that early. Here's the actual reference in question:
It must be because Big Sis didn't have a lot of money, she had seen those weird papers where sis scribbled down notes on expenses and cultivation plans.
Where the implication is that the "weird papers" are the spreadsheets that we always joked were the real secret to Ling Qi's power.

It's just a fun easter egg, not something that's seriously been covered in the story, but yes, the math cabal's shenanigans have gotten a little in-universe nod.

I don't quite remember how the new system works, does LQ actually even have a lot of free qi?

Ling Qi's qi rating is 19, which I assume is a very respectable number, but only eight of those points are actually usable. The rest is bound in her spirit and item bindings. I suppose she might actually have one free qi point more as now that dress-chan has awakened, she should qualify for LQ's cultivation art discount.

LQ is supposed to have a ridiculously large amount of qi for her age and stage of cultivation actually.

I know this is supposedly the case. Her vast reserves were even mentioned in the latest chapter. It just that the numbers don't seem to agree.

LQ got some neat pills in the early quest and her current cultivation art and its predecessor both auto-cultivate qi, which means that her total qi should be pretty great. It's just that most cultivators have fewer and less qi hungry spirits than Ling Qi. Even with her cultivation art that discounts spirit bonds, almost two thirds of her power is spent just on upkeep.

Ling qi is measured in assets, not liquid currency.

I mean, I kinda doubt there's many Green cultivators who could keep up with the demands of four bound spirits, especially when you consider that Item Spirits and Sovereign beast spirits are notoriously qi-hungry.

Speaking of Ling Qi spirit's, are we going to reunite with Sixiang permanently this arc ? Because we are leaving for the wedding and then war pretty soon.
Are they going to remain in Tonghu or leave with us ?
In Ling Qi dantian's or head's or in a puppet ?
Are they going to leave us eventualy ?

We got word of yrs on Discord that they'll be coming along with Suyin to the Ith purification mission underground

She's never actually gone below 50% in combat I think. Her arts are qi efficient and she actively drains it from enemies(and then theres Shattering to recoup).

She got big chonky reserves

Which one? The first initial fight when she got speared, or in the tournament?
Though I think in either case, the issue was health damage, not qi. Flower princess is good at aggravated which you can't just shield with Qi.

It does seem like damage and Qi have increasingly been made one, or at least that's the vibe I get from how this is going? Which sorta makes sense, the higher you climb the more like a Spirit you are, and the more, "Out of Qi" and "Dead" become the exact same thing.

There were instances where she went below 50%.
The fight where she Su Lin and Li Suyin fought against Huang Da. (Lucky Breaks. 1/18 if I didn't miss something)
The fight shortly after the truce was over, with LanLan and her against Hong Lin and the twins. (Thunderdome, Part 2. 7/31 Qi before winning)
And she also went below 50% in Thunder dome redux 2 against the princess and her side.(4/43 qi be for going down)

At least if I read the old combat right.

Kek, I hope this happens because it can only lead to comedy.

The stunning success of the summit led Jiao to admit that maybe the world is not irrevocably fucked up after all, to the point where he agreed to have a child with his wife after all these years.
Who knows, he might even decide to do more than fiddle with his project car and engage in sect shenanigans. If that were the case, hypothetically, how would the people who see it as their job to pay attention to such things react to Jiao becoming even partially active again?

Would Jiao accepting Yuan He's badge-"ahem" offer to become the next Sect Head qualify?
Yrsillar said:
thatd do something alright
Jiao's finally recovered enough from his depression to have a child with Xin. And parenthood can really change people. Maybe he'll feel that in order to safeguard his kid's future he should accept Yuan He's offer to become the next Sect Head. The faculty would accept it, too:
Yrsillar said:
He's considered abrasive and rude but no one on the faculty hates him, they'd grumble (if he became the next boss) but its not like his credentials aren't up to snuff

Average noble scion: this art was created by and improved upon by my ancestors and it is the envy of every other baronial clan under our viscount!

Ling Qi: it came to me in a dream
Ling Qi: It didn't just come to me in a dream, I fought hard in that dream for it!

It seems to be an expression of how, at the root, every cultivator who reaches the pinnacle must do so by walking a path they made themselves. The arts of others can give you a place to start and power at the beginning, but it makes sense that as you grow an art made by you and perfectly suited to your Way will outshine any other.

Kek. How each Sublime would try to cheer someone up:

Grandma serpent just uh... doesn't, I guess if we assume your like Yao close she haghtily insists that the bloody corpse of your enemy was just something she happened to kill on a stroll
Horned Lord would put you through meditative exercises, Living Isle would draw you into a calming academic debate
purifying sun would shower you in riches and shiny things I suppose
