@Killer_Whale , I edited the structure of some plans, and PowerLeca made a new plan.
Saying that the Stars and Spheres action serves as an analogue for Lake Hei is more than just a stretch. It's a weird attempt to shoehorning a SNR project into the narrative.
SNR projects are cool philosophical projects with combat applications, but they aren't adequate for the-right-before-the-Summit turn like others projects are.
I would also rather not double on LFWT projects on some nebulous assumption of home many are left. I just don't like to double in a single art unless there is a good reason for it.
Four Winds Joy is more than enough as a preparation for ToN and to delve into theme Choice, control and privacy. Heck, it says it unlocks the Choice concept for a reason. No need to add Boundaries as well.
If we are talking about backlog Arts then BKSD is the prime example of them. We gained the Phantasmal Mastery trait quite a while ago and yet we haven't done a single BKSD project since. Even though we know there are at least 6 projects left.
The main purpose of the Summit, at least for Ling Qi, is to avoid unnecessary conflict which will only bring suffering.
Cultivating a project about what drives different people to war strikes me as pretty important. So Primacy of Beast would fit the last pre-Summit month better.
[] Plan: Professional Primacy
-[][Personal] House of Ling
-[][Professional] Western Marches
-[][Professional] Imperial Menagerie
-[][Professional] A Land Most Dark and Cruel
-[][Cultivation] Four Winds Joy (9/5 AD, Cathedral of Winds -1GSS)
-[][Cultivation] Ice and Dust (13/4 Saline Grotto -1GSS)
-[][Cultivation] Primacy of Beasts (9/3 Shattered Gaol +10 spiritual)
I mean, it's not. SNR works by contemplating Lake Hei. For any Bai, that's always outside or near them. For us, not so much. Ling Qi used Snowblossom as an analogue to Lake Hei during We Are But Ripples. Using the (mostly) endless night sky in the south as an analogue is very possible and fits well with an action too!
Contemplating things that vanish from sight and memory can work well with stuff like Choice and the importance of secrets. Also, the background ToN stuff. That's ignoring how Ending can work with Ice and Dust too.
As for Boundaries Untrodden, well, LFWT is one of our longest arts, if you discount BKSD. And it's very integral to the current narrative because of Huisheng and all. Exploring its philosophies works really well. Plus it takes it out of the way when the actual summit arrives. And if LFWT would only have about 2 projects left? Then we can tie it off nicely.
I agree that doing two projects from one art in a turn is uncomfortable, but in this case, it fits really well. ToN is a perception art that works with Knowledge by Theft. Choice is something that's from mantling Huisheng and our own thoughts during the tribulation. They're different things. Knowing what to steal and understanding the subject you're about to steal from is integral to Knowledge by Theft, while knowing how Freedom and Order intersect in society is important for Choice. So Boundaries Untrodden can totally work on its own and complement the background Thief of Names development. So it also fits.
I won't deny that Primacy of War fits. I'm one of the people who brought up how well it could work with the summit in previous turn votes. But It's Depths Without End and Boundaries Untrodden also work well here.
