Threads Of Destiny(Eastern Fantasy, Sequel to Forge of Destiny)

Voted best in category in the Users' Choice awards.
Well I really highly doubt it was the complete Moon, all Eight Phases together. I think Yrs meant to convey that the Dreaming Moon was present for a moment there, in her entirety, probably bearing down her full spiritual weight on LQ as much as possible without it being an outright tribulation.
If you recall, its basically unheard of for someone to have not 2 but 3 Patrons of the Moon like Ling Qi does. Getting attention from all 8 would be... yeah, no.
Oh I am aware it would be a crazy event. The fact remains, it is definitely odd that after using the [Dreaming Moon ; "dialog text"]-format three times in a row. Yrsillar suddenly crafted an archaic line and attributed it to the "Moon".

I admit, this could also be explained by saying the dialog partner has transitioned to more great spirit than avatar. However, I feel that would have been represented in an other way. Spirits can be subsumed by Greater Spirits, who says that the Moon (tm) can't talk through its aspects.

It would be beyond crazy. One of the good things about Yrs' story is that while he does make LQ special and does explain her insane luck in-story, he doesn't make her a Chosen One protagonist with such insane luck, the universe may as well revolve around her. So that would be beyond crazy.

On one hand, i really, really want to spend more time with Precious.
But i also want to see what Hanyi is getting into, and CRX needs more attention.
Also want to see if Yandress has any reactions to clothing stores (probably not, but i can dream).

I don't think i can bring myself to vote either of these over the other.
So?

Hmm.

Hang with the boys or hang with the girls?

I really like the relationships between Ling and the other two, but I've no idea how they will interact with eachother.

Interesting, I'm curious if Community and Isolation is going in tandem for everyone else that cultivates them or if they are tied with something else if someone only cultivates one of them?

Pretty sure they are intertwined.

It's impossible to understand only one side of a mirror, basically: to understand isolation requires that you understand what you are isolated from, and to understand community requires understanding what the people creating it are afraid of.

You cannot understand truly a thing without understanding its absence.
I'm not sure if you have to cultivate isolation to cultivate community, maybe the way Ling Qi's personal way wraps around them requires equal attention.

When on Trome, do as the Tromans do. The other option is ultimately replaceable.

My shipping order is: Xuan Shi, for his respectfulness, his creativity, and his abilities, though in the back of my head I think Ling Qi might not be a good wife for him and his goals; Meng Dan who has moon sister, is part of the Meng faction that supports us, is also respectful, and likely to bring all sorts of goodies and knowledge since he's a scholar; then probably Bao Qian, he just seems like a good dude in a lot of ways, but I honestly don't have much hope for him.

I wouldn't exactly say I ship Xuan Shi, but he plays an important role in character development. Ling Qi is self-aware enough to know that she thinks of men as threatening, but Xuan Shi is among the least-threatening men she knows. Thus, he is a good practice target (also, reading all this would be hilarious).

Meng Dan is interesting stylistically so is a feasible long-term partner, but who knows how all the personal and political interactions will go.

Bao Qian is boring and he seems content to keep a business relationship.

Ji Rong has is probably the best fit due to us understanding each other's background (and, unlike earlier, he does understand the need to change), but is a political nightmare until Sun Liling's whole faction inevitably implodes and he seeks asylum (assuming he doesn't go all Shen Hu for her. Or maybe even if he does; he has protagonist plot armor ... the other real question is what shippers in the Ji Rong negaverse are doing).

Zheng Rando would trigger all the wrong parts of Ling Qi's background - even if the comparison isn't completely accurate, it's close enough to hurt.

Problem with Ji Rong is that he gives off way too many gang leader vibes for Qi. Yeah he understands her background but he was the type she'd explicitly do anything to avoid back then. Iirc I even remember a scene where Sixiang asked Qi why she didn't find him attractive and she responded that she wasn't attracted to him since his whole vibe triggers her danger senses. He'd arguably ping her trauma worse than a polite Zheng. Other than that point I more or less agree.

Just strikes me as much more interesting and valuable from a character development and worldbuilding perspective.

I'm sure Hanyi and Renxiang would be fun, but...

Sounds like a good day. Also I don't think those two have interacted much in the past? They both have mommy problems :V

With our new understanding of family I think it would be good to show Renxiang how we interact with our little sister. She could start having her own revelation.
Preferably without anyone shedding bleeding tears, but this Xianxia, so that's unlikely.
