That was the whole previous three arcs with Sixiang Hanyi and Zhengui. We trained SSC Hidden in the dream, we trained MSS at the concert and PLR's joyous toast advanced at the festival.

Wang because they are our neighbors and we need the road. Meng because I think labrynth lords quest will lead to benefits for our song seeker and dream walker development. And also to get a read on any factions hating on best snek. Diao cause they are nearby and they are close with our liege, best not have them sharpening knives for us. Bao because money, and LQ doesn't want the business relationship to rely on betrothal talks. Besides, our Bao business meetings are totally the best excuse for snake and spider hookups.

For me it's a lack of urgency. I like the Luo, I think they're interesting, but they don't have a bad or worsening opinion of us, they're southern but not exactly neighbours, we don't have any active narratives of specific opportunity with them, and they haven't shown signs of being a barrier to anything we want to do.
I could see @yrsillar doing something with the Luo during upcoming military operations under the Cai. It would be a good opportunity to give the Jia some screentime as well.
It's a shame during the last tournament we didn't pick the meta-favor option of Gu Xiulan's mother instead of Bai Meizhen's father. Iirc, her bonus was easier access to exotic resources, which would have bundled coherently with our own prospective fief/foreign market access, with a common link through Luo lands. Though... frankly, we are friend with Gu Xiulan, and the Golden Fields might be interested in icy resources, probably something that can happen regardless.
It's not like the one we actually picked, Meizhen's dad dropping intel on us occasionally, actually makes sense anymore since Meizhen should just be doing it directly.

While on tour Hanyi causes a scene with a mortal minstrel troup who she hears playing grandma LQ's songs. Naturally they freak out and sic the authorities on Hanyi. When LQ and the mortal's supervising elder arrive to settle things, they exhibit and uncanny similarity in stature complexion and eye color. Revelations ensue (Liu totally chased him off to prevent quingge's escape)... Ling Barony opens recording crystal studio.
Rumors of strange happenings, stranger cover ups and He involvement reach Mama Ling via her former associates. Runaway Quingge is persona non grata so sneaky sneaky sissy mode required. He clan in turmoil over giving Lui strength boosters to low talent younger generation despite documented side effects. LQ spirits away team quingge favorites and anti forbidden doping faction like she did in Jiao's test. Ling Barony loyal servant family acquired. Mysterious forbidden elixer reported to duchess cai. Liu enmity established.

Not necessarily. The sidestory was a commission, not something Yrs planned out as a plot hook. It still could happen of course, but I wouldn't take this sidestory as telling one way or the other.
