Ling Qi's had a whole thing about accepting that she can rely on others, and that Zhengui and Hanyi's strength bolsters hers in the same way that her own strength bolsters them.

It feels like it fits far better into Ling Qi's idea of moving forward as a family, able to rely upon and support each other.

No.
If you want power to be strong or 'free of shackles of weakness' then that is the meaning of that power. You want to be at least that strong and any more power that you get after you're free or 'strong' is meaningless.
And "power by itself is not worth sacrifices to acquire it" is completely different than the vote. It feels like you've read something into it that I think is different than intended, and then started complaining that the intended meaning doesn't match what you read into it. Its a lesson that seeking power for powers sake is pointless, not that seeking power for powers sake can have harmful repercussions.
That way can be argued that there is no such thing as seeking power for the sake of power. As at worst you enjoy having power and so seek power for your enjoyment. Which render this insight meaningless.

For the power of friendship!

I disagree with this one. I believe that power alone is not nothing, power is the potential to change the world or a part of it. Even if you don't know how you will change it, the ability to do so at any time is important. So I guess I'll be voting for the other one.

This reminds me of Goku building a spirit bomb to defeat the big bad by borrowing energy from whole continents/planets. That's pretty sweet. This also generally reinforces that teamwork, cunning, and strategy are all valid forms of power which would be useful for a LQ that seems to be focused on advancement. It lets her be single-minded while still cultivating a large base of skills. It's sort of the work around we've talked about with our Truth insight that stops her from directly lying, but not from lying by withholding information.

I like it much more than the power is meaningless take away.

Eternal growth for its own sake is the philosophy of a cancer cell and all that. Personally, I like this one better. Just jives with me for some reason I can't exactly put into words.

Ling Qi will never stop growing more powerful. That is the nature of the game, both in and out of universe. I much prefer her learning about the power of friendship over a "power is meaningless" lesson, which is just going to clash with any progress related insights all over again.

The two options are pursuing the answers to different questions. "power may spring from many sources" is answering the question of, "what is power?", while "power has no meaning of its own" answers the question of "where am I aiming to end?" I keep pursuing the answer to that second question any time it can be pursued, because she has no concrete end goal yet, and it's the single most valuable answer she can find.

Definitely feel that this is the answer right now, the other is a good answer but doesn't really tie in super elegantly with what we've seen to date?
