I'm really interested in this conversation, but I doubt Kongyou would let it go uninterrupted if we talk with her. And as was said before, we can grill her later.
I'm also curious what topics she would try to make interrupt so we definitely need to keep an eye on her.
And Tel Xuan Shi that she loves tragedies. If for nothing else, just to later meet him reading one for her (preferable a tragicomedy or something really cringe worthy for her). :D

I am not fully convinced Xuan Shi knows what he is doing, but forcing a confrontation to make one's friends seem unreliable or ill intentioned or controlling or overly dogmatic so that you fight with them and get more isolated is, like, chapter 3 page 17 on the handbook for this kind of villainy, assuming Kongyou is enganged in that (if Kongyou isn't, there is not much point to an interrogation anyway, so it is lose lose). Not poking that bait with a 10 foot pole. Research should be made in other ways.

"It feels nice to be believed in," Kongyou drawled, clasping their hands. They glanced to Ling Qi and Sixiang with a smirk. "Isn't friendship grand?"

"What do you think you're up too?" Sixiang hissed, glaring at Kongyou over Ling Qi's shoulder.

"Same thing as you cuz. Enjoying my human," Kongyou said flippantly.
Ah yes, an NTR-spirit.

But of course, we all know how to deal with this.

If you befriend my friend, then I'll befriend you as well! That way you'll be my friend and your friend will be my friend as well!

:V

You know what, why not?

[X] Interrogate the spirit. Quietly so as not to interrupt Xuan Shi's conversation. Kongyou is obviously up to no good, you need to figure out what they're up to.

What could go wrong :V

I mean, who are we to judge what other cultivators choose to do with their own path in the first place?

Sure, we got personnal reason to be mad at lil' Mothra, but they're not our charge in any case, and we're also trying to learn how to not meddle with everything around us like everyone else was a toddler who need to have their hands holded.

Is it concerning? Yes. But we are really one to talk. We came back from a Revelrie with something akin to a CN spirit who caused a ruckus and didn't give a crap about it for a while. At least Xuan contained them. If the boy want to walk the path of his idol, let him do it. Hell, I personally don't even want to talk about it later. His life, his choices.

Their feet were bare, and underneath their cloak of wings they seemed to wear only a nearly skintight pair of black pants that glittered like the night sky. Their narrow but well defined chest was wholly bare, but was almost dollike in its lack of hair or features.
So are we just going to not talk about how Kongyou, as an evil jerk who is supposedly being redeemed, seems to be going for a Draco in Leather Pants vibe?

As it was foretold...
That's only for Biyu, until she can punch them herself :V
Xuan Shi is already a big boy, he needs the challenge.... But not now, not when he can talk to the living memoir of his favourite author.
