Yeah, this is a very valid point, though it would not personally dissuade me. I doubt the thread would like to do that even without those concerns anyway, it is statistically unlikely. Glad to hear you'd be willing to write that, I understand that it could be strange to if you're not into that, so it would have been fine to not do it anyway.
Fair enough, but what do you think makes it not fit his character and upbringing? We don't really know much about it and our character hasn't had much time to make his personality "shine through" beyond the character description since he hasn't existed for too long. As for our line, that is a valid point, but depends on the definition of "family line" you'd be going for, adoption is unpopular but does exist, polygamy is the standard in Valyria as well, so it wouldn't be unreasonable to have a son anyway. There are of course the let's kill the gays faction in the Senate, so if you don't want to deal with that it is something to be considered.I'm personally not interested in our Character having a homosexual Relationship. Not because I think that's a bad thing, far from it, I just don't believe it fits with his Character and upbringing. Also, we need our Line to continue.
I wholeheartedly agree.
They're down with it. I think up to three Wives are possible.
They encourage it actually. Mostly among family, but men are encouraged to take multiple women as brides to increase their bloodline and so they can have more children to marry each other to keep the bloodline pure.@Magoose Question: How do Valyrian's view Polyamorous relationships?
In Valyria, that stands for one thing and one thing only. Children from you and your wives or concubines.
Three wives and a venerable Harem of women if possible.
That too. We have enough Enemies already. Also, for Character and upbringing, that's just my personal Interpretation of him so far. I could be wrong of course.Fair enough, but what do you think makes it not fit his character and upbringing? Eh, a personal interpretation is super subjective so fair enough. He is shy, that we know, so we should keep it in mind if we decide to pursue anyone. Hopefully we'll get him to be more assertive eventually, though that will probably take a while and a lot of work. That too. We have enough Enemies already. HOWEVER, keep in mind that polyamorous Relationships are complicated and messy even in the best of Times.
Introvert. That's the personality type of the PC so far. Their only friends were family and one other person. Introverts in a society that frowns on same gender relationships, are unlikely to rock the boat without some kind of reasurrance.Fair enough, but what do you think makes it not fit his character and upbringing? You'd be surprised tbh, I grew up in a violent society that frowned upon it very much and always was very shy and introverted, I still managed to come out. Was the second hardest decision of my life, but I somehow managed. Sometimes we can surprise ourselves in overcoming these obstacles. Though if you still don't want to pursue this kind of relationship you don't need to ofc, whether because you don't think it fits the character, think it would make things more difficult or just plain don't want to. I just brought this up because if I was the character, I wouldn't pursue her because of my own personal reasons.Introvert. That's the personality type of the PC so far. Wot?knowing your luck, your family will all be ugly, deformed, half-dragon hybrids due to our... little gift.
We've got a bond with our dragon that, if we don't be careful with, will deform us and turn us into a half dragon.
