The Smallest of Dragons, The Loudest of Roars (An ASOIAF Valyrian Adventure Quest)

Edit: I still might edit the picture, just so he's... Smaller.

Dragon Sheet:

Name: Vhaeron

Age: 17

Traits:

Bonded: You have been bonded since before a hatchling to Rhaegon, a bond that goes far deeper than rider and master. You understand him in ways even he does not understand. (Unknown Effect)

Small: Young, fast and swift, rideable by even a novice rider, but lacking the true power of the Dragon Lord needs to really make an impact… For now at least.

[X] Plan Mourning is okay but our house must

This plan is essentially the same as mine, so I'll vote for it, @Gigik, you might want to do the same since you voted for mine. The only difference is Mourning instead of Confusion.

To be fair, I partially chose that Picture because there is no real frame of reference for his Size in it. You can easily imagine his Proportions being smaller then they look at first glance.

Canon omake: A General and his Family
A General and his Family

"Father!"

Hazdru'bl knelt down in the Courtyard of his Mansion with a smile and embraced his two Sons as they ran into his Arms. With a laugh, he lifted them up, hugging them tight.

"How are you doing, my little Harpies? Did you have fun?", he asked with a smile.

His Sons, Mahar'bl and Hamil'kar - the latter named after Hazdru'bl's Father - nodded with bright smiles.

"Uncle Margo took us with him when he rode out yesterday! It was really fun!", Mahar'bl explained.

Hazdru'bl raised an eyebrow. "Did he now?" He looked at his Brother, who was standing a few feet away from him and had a smile on his face. "Are they not a bit too young for that?"

His younger Brother laughed. "Nonsense! They are old and strong enough for a little ride with me. And don't worry, you know I'd never let anything happen to them."

Hazdru'bl shook his head but smiled. He knew that his Brother was telling the Truth. Despite his care-free Attitude, Margo was ultimately someone who took his responsibilities seriously.

"Are our Boys back home, my Lord?"

The four of them turned around to see a beautiful Woman in a white Dress and with long black hair march into the Courtyard. Immediately, Hamil'kar and Mahar'bl ran into her Arms as well.

Hazdru'bl chuckled. "As you can see, Imilke, they have returned and are as eager to see their Mother again as you were to see them."

Imilke, his Wife, smiled as she gently stroked her Boys Hair. "Indeed I do... Now come, you two, let us leave your Father and Uncle to theri talk. You can tell me everything about how your stay with Margo went."

While Imilke led the two Boys inside, Margo chuckled as he saw the content and happy look that his Brother shot after his wife. "I see you are as smitten with her as you were at the first day of your Marriage. Not that I blame you. She's as beautiful as always!"

Hazdru'bl fought down his blush and smirked at Margo. "I'm surprised you'd take note of that, given your...preferences."

Margo shrugged. "Well, just because I prefer the company of men doesn't mean I'm blind to a Woman's Beauty."

Hazdru'bl shook his head with a smile before he got serious again. "You wrote in your letter that you had urgent News to tell me. What happened?"

Margo's face shifted into a serious look as well. "My Spies in Valyria have reported in. Given the News they brought...the War might break out within the next two or three years."

Hazdru'bl blinked. "So soon? I had expected four or five years at least! What happened?!"

"Simple...Senator and Dictator Eleanor apparently tried to wrest Power away from the Senate. His Motives were not entirely clear, but whatever he was trying to accomplish, he failed miserably."

The General raised an eyebrow. "He is dead then?"

Margo grimaced. "Not just him... His Enemies in the Senate pushed to make an Example out of his entire Family. The Elanors...are nearly destroyed. Men, Women, Children, even Infants. They all were executed for Treason. The only Survivor is his 17 year old Son Raegon. Apparently, even his most ardent Enemies couldn't justify to wipe one of the 40 Families in it's entirety. But he has next to nothing left, except his Dragon, the Familiy's Eggs and some other Possessions."

Hazdru'bl stared at his Brother in disbelief. He knew that the Valyrians were at their Core cruel, savage Barbarians, despite all their pretenses to Civilization...but this?!

For one second, he actually felt pity for this boy Raegon...but he quickly pushed that feeling aside. In the end, he was a Valyrian and thus just another Enemy to be destroyed. If his Family was wiped out, good. That meant less Valyrians for him to deal with.

"I assume the political Balance in the Freehold has shifted?", he asked.

Margo nodded. "My Spies have stated that the Moderates fell along with Eleanor. The Glory-Faction has for the most part filled the Vacuum...and they want nothing more then to wipe Ghis from the face of the Earth once and for all. And, more then that...they apparently expect it to be easy."

Hazdru'bl scoffed. "Fools...their Arrogance will be their downfall then." His eyes narrowed. "I'll admit, this War is coming a bit sooner then I would've liked...not all of our planned Preparations are complete yet. Still, it is clear they underestimate us." He smirked. "Good...if they really want to start this last Dance early, let them come. We will teach them a Lesson!"

Margo let out a short laugh. "That is SO like you, Hazdru'bl...where others would despair, you are already making new Plans."

The General smirked. "Well, to be fair, most People don't have the support of such a loyal Family as I do. Your help is invaluable."

His brother chuckled. "Thanks, Brother...you know I and the Others always have your back. As a matter of fact, I have arranged a meeting between our Family and our closest Supporters in three days time. Then, we can update and finalize our Plans."

Hazdru'bl nodded. "Very good, Brother. I knew I could count on you." He put a hand on his Brothers shoulder. "The Valyrians believe that their Dragons make them all-powerful. But while they waste time and resources with petty internal squabbling, we stand united as one. That is something that they can NEVER overcome."

He smirked. "And that...is why WE will win this War!"

A.N.: Just a bit more insight into our Ghiscari Antagonist and his Family. Hope you all like it.

Blah Blah Blah, +10 to the rolls.

All these Omakes really make me wanna root for our possible sworn enemy and rival, more than I do for our character lol.
Well, keep in mind that his Goals are to utterly destroy Valyria, kill every last Dragon in the World and enslave every last one of our People, Men, Women, Children and Infants. Just because he's a Human with his own complex and even relatable Personality doesn't mean his Goals aren't monstrous.

Seriously, Guys, I'm not saying that Ghis is in the right or better then Valyria. They aren't. Of course, neither is Valyria really. In the end, both sides are not so different in many ways. It's just that the Side we aren't on wants to 100% destroy every last Trace of our Culture. And we have no Option to defect to them because they would not accept us. We are Valyrian - worse, we are a Member of the Dragon-riding 40 Families - and thus we must be eradicated as far as they're concerned. At least that's how I interpret it.

TBH i want the mc to betray valyria in a act of revenge and spite.
Keep in mind: MANY People in the Senate were against murdering our entire Family. Hell, even some of the People who were for it eventually thought that they had gone too far. And the common People of the Freehold had pretty much ZERO hand in this.
We shouldn't hate all of Valyria. We should hate the Bastards who murdered our entire Family and laughed about it afterwards. And what better Revenge then to take over the Freehold and make our late Fathers Dreams and Ambitions come true?

So are Harpies actually something that are ridden? I had assumed the union between them and the Ghiscari were more...parallel than the Dragonriding of the Valyrians. Like the Harpies rule the air while the Ghiscari rule the land. Kinda making the Valyrians riding in the air something of a transgression on a personal level to the two ancient allies.

Keeps thing different enough while giving a reason beyond 'Fire Everywhere' towards explaining the repeated victories. Though Hazdru'bl stealing that idea could explain his own victories I suppose...

Both Valyria and Ghis are slave empires. That's just the way the world operated under their control. Is slavery horrible? Without a doubt. Is it something that is considered a cornerstone of the empire? Maybe, most likely.

Anyway, onto a more related note. Staying low under the radar is the best option that we've got for the next few years of our character's life, so that should be our general direction.
