[X] Plan: Rolling With The Punches
Not particularly just this. So, this is off topic, but is there any description of what Saint Lin actually looked like? Asking for writing an omake
Best off either making up something or asking Durin I fear.He is not particularly physically imposing (though it looks like he knows how the wield the powerstaff he carries), but he is the most charismatic man you have ever met.
In this case the dynamic's slightly shifted. Having the maximum combat multiplier is meaningless beyond minimising our own casualties, since the Tyranid ground forces can be replaced effectively endlessly. In fact, maximising our multiplier near the tail-end of the war will be most effective, since that's when the Tyranids will have most thoroughly entrenched themselves with ground bound Synaptic nodes and besieging Biotitans and Genestealers. From my memory of previous wars, the optimal strategy has been to put the maximum amount of power into the first stage of the war because that's when we get the highest combat multiplier. It provides the most amount of damage at the best exchange rates, and it also reduces casualties throughout the entire rest of the war by destroying so many of the enemy's assets early on for minimal losses.
Can they really adapt to the poisons that quickly? They couldn't with the drukhari's most basic combat poisons and the nynye's poisons are much more advanced, with a Warp component too.In this case the dynamic's slightly shifted. I'm applying one generalised poison now for the reason that this'll be the main 'feeling out' of the war. The groups on the outer regions will be taking on the Nids in disadvantageous ground, who have any number of nasty surprises, and are generally terrifying monsters. Minimising the losses from the initial spearhead will leave us better equipped to take the rest of the sieges, but I can't afford to apply any of the other poisons for the main reason that they have other fallbacks. Genestealer poison, they send in biotitans and mooks, Synaptic poison, they just hammer us normally and when it's neutralised we won't have the trump cards to take any synaptic node emplacements later in the war, Biotitan poison, they just don't send in their biotitans like they likely won't for the initial charge anyway, and when it's neutralised they kick the shit out of us at the midpoint of the war. One generalist poison is a good middle ground for me.
They'll take approximately six weeks, from what Durin has said. Best case scenario they'll be non-neutralised by the time the naval forces win, more likely they'll be neutralised maybe halfway into the war, but almost useless maybe a quarter into it. Using one now will let us get a grasp on it anyway though, so.Can they really adapt to the poisons that quickly? did that actually happen?Reporting from page 3890: I am now imagining Hedcrusha as an MMO raid boss. And not one of the well designed ones, more like some enormity from Final Fantasy XI where the entire playerbase spends literally days taking him down and then the dev team says you did it wrong, strips all your rewards away, and buffs him.
I wasn't there, fortunately, but I've heard stories.did that actually happen?
man, that would SUCK.
also, I'm so tempted to give spoilers![]()
any idea what the player base did "wrong"?
Apparently the devs would never actually explain? Can't remember the details.any idea what the player base did "wrong"?
how do you beat a boss "wrong"? like....did they use some exploit or something?
seriously....?Apparently the devs would never actually explain? Can't remember the details.
I only have what the wiki and some other sites told me about, think like ester-eggs, there should have a 'hide mission', that allow that guy to be defeated more easy than literal days of work. The developers did send a hint... years later in a video.any idea what the player base did "wrong"?

I vaguely recall hearing 1 in 10,000 right now is at least a minor psyker, but I have no idea if thats bleed-over from other storys.I only have what the wiki and some other sites told me about, think like ester-eggs, there should have a 'hide mission', that allow that guy to be defeated more easy than literal days of work. But they should have reward clear thinking or even enough hard work. Or at very last provide a way to avoid the Players to become physical ills from the time needed to defend that boss.
but returning to the quest, I ask does anyone knows how much % of the population of Avernus had reach minor psyker lvls? Because I wish to know how close we are from having a army even better at killing^^.
Okay, for anyone interested, I've specified using one of the generalised Anti-Nid poisons for our landing response. I want to maximise our defense against the first wave, when we'll be taking the first round of their nasty surprises like what happened when that Nid fleet teleported, and with the timeframes we're working with the poison will only be neutralised a significant ways into the war, when we'll have a better grasp on how we're getting beaten into the ground. Normally I'd agree to hold off until they're actually besieging us but, well, the adaption is planetwide and we have three goes with it. Them clustering together doesn't help the poison do its job much, and if we do need the maximum poison bonus for later burning a second generalised poison when the first isn't totally neutralised isn't great, but it is workable.
A lot of people have used Mr Rogers, but I think that's just the common Fanon. So, this is off topic, but is there any description of what Saint Lin actually looked like? Asking for writing an omake
at least 1 year as this ground-battle is starting in Y4 and theres another space-battle in Y5 I believe.Do we have any idea how long till we will receive reinforcements? Since ideally we want to begin using the poison when they will adapt to it a few days after our reinforcements arrive.
A few months.Do we have any idea how long till we will receive reinforcements? Since ideally we want to begin using the poison when they will adapt to it a few days after our reinforcements arrive.

While Autarch Landeer is confident that with time he will be able to take control over the void it will take weeks or months to wear down the Tyranids numbers.
We need to remember that we can't defeat the Tyrannids on the ground, and our main goal is to keep as many of our valuable assets alive or intact as possible while we delay the Tyranids long enough for our reinforcements to win in space.
