Though I am curious how much effect on our genetics this has had even over just 2 centuries. I mean Avernites breed like rabbits given all the % pop growth modifiers we've taken over time, they just die nearly as fast. We're likely losing 5% or so of the population from monsters a year even. Over just a few generations even that would have a big effect. Rate of Psykers has certainly exploded as one obvious measurable effect. I wonder if speed, reaction time, and ability to resist damage and poisons have similarly risen?
mostly a few changes to internal organs, better livers for example and an ablity to sleep far lighter then they should

As the Magma Wyrms approached Dis the siege continued, as did the psychic duel between the Psykers of Avernus and the Sorcerers of the Abomination. The addition of the Agylic Host to the Abomination forces tipped the balance heavily in the favour of the Abomination. In the half day between the Angelic Host being summoned and the Magma Wyrm attack tens of thousands of your soldiers fell to psychic domination, and many times that were effected to a lessor extent. While the Abomination attacks were easily fended off despite that thanks to the quality of your defences and soldiers you made it seem as if one hard push at the right location would see them fall. As you had hoped this led to the Angelic Host leading a major assault on this location just as the Magma Wyrms, heavily boosted by your biomancers, arrived.

The first the forces of the Abomination knew of the attack of the Magma Wyrms was when a set of tremors were felt by their forces, as the earth moved under them. As their sorcerers and Tech-Priests turned their attention underground to determine the cause the answer made itself known when fourteen Magma Wyrms surfaced in the middle of their gathered Titans. Over a score of Warlord Titans were killed by the initial strike, along with dozens of lesser Titans and over a hundred Knights. The remaining Titans quickly killed the Magma Wyrms, but not before suffering significant losses. By the time the last Magma Wyrm had fallen less then a third of the remaining Titans still stood, a force that is far less likely to be able to breach your walls. While this does not totally remove the Titan's from being a threat it has reduced them enough that they are no longer one of the Abomination armies trump cards.

As the Magma Wyrm were attacking the Abomination the Third Circle Archangyl was leading most of its host into the area you had convinced your opposing number was vulnerable. As hundreds of thousands of Angyls approached the walls your Pyromancers and Deamonologists bent their powers towards them as your elites moved into position. While the power of the Angyls and the efforts of the Chaos Sorcers, who were ready for your psykers reducde the impact of the Daemonolygists massively Xavier and his Pyromancers smashed though the defences, killing over a eighty thousand Angyls, including most of the Cherubim and a pair of Fifth Circle Archangyls. When this rather battered force reached the walls it found itself facing tens of thousand of Battle Psykers along with hundreds of thousands of Black Irons, supported by dozens of Last Hunters and Ridcully's Divination. Thanks in large part to the Runes of Banishment that your Battle Psykers wield it was a massacre, with all of the lessor Angyls falling at the cost of only a few thousand Black Irons and a thousand Battle Psykers.

This left the Third Circle Archangyl engaged with Jane and Jacob while Lulana and Primaris Aria and a Primaris Execution force shut down its psychic powers and a full score of Last Hunters take what shots they can find. As it approached Aria hit it with a Null Zone, greatly weakening its powers and boosting her own. While weakened the Archangyl was still able to launch a blindingly bright spear at Lulana, the most powerful of your psykers, which was almost entirely countered by the combined efforts of your psykers, and ended up scratching her carapace. Once it landed it engaged both Jane and Jacob simultaneously, inflicting a minor wound on Jacob in exchange for suffering a terrible blow from the Black Crystal Blade he wields while Jane dodged everything it sent at her, though her return blows lacked the power to inflict major damage. The Last Hunters fired into the combat where possible, and managed to land a couple of glancing hits but found the rest of their shots dodged or more commonly deflected. As the Psykers continued to weaken the Archangyl its blows started coming slower and its skill became fragile, creating openings that Jane and Jacob took full advantage of. The fight ended less then ten minutes after it began when Jacob drove the Black Crystal Blade deep into the Archangyls heart, destroying it in one of the most irrecoverable manners possible.

As the Magma Wyrms attacked the Titans and the Angylic Host is butchered on the walls you launched two hundred Life-Eater Fungus armed Deathstrike missiles at the bulk of the Abomination army, which was formed up ready to push an attack on the breach that they expected to be opened by either the Titans or Archangyl. Due to the chaos caused by the Magma Wyrm attacks and the death of the Deathstrikes were not noticed and delivered their payloads with textbook accuracy. Within minutes a series of massive mushroom clouds had formed over the Abomination army. marking the death of a full fifth of their remaining numbers, over a billion men at arms. This was the last straw for the Abomination normally perfect morale, and for a few brief minutes it seemed like your besiegers would break and flee. However their officers quickly brought them back into good order by having them decimated, killing another half a billion men and continuing the siege.

As the dust settles on one of the most blood hours of Avernus' history you examine how the situation has changed and how to react to it. The combination of the destruction of most of the Angylic Host including its leader, the loss of most of its Titans and the sheer casualties that you Deathstrikes have caused have pretty much made it impossible for the army to breach the walls of Dis without waiting for reinforcements, which have a decent chance of not changing matters. As such your opposite number will most likely either begin summoning the First Circle Archangyl, start ramming Dis with capital class warships or even both.

I would like to put forward my proposal that we press the attack and prevent another super angyl thing from being summored. Those things are TOUGH and from the flavor text if we can clean up house now that Valinor has lost 30% of it's initial invasion we can more than likely take out what's left. Or at least enough to make sieging down Dis a non-military option.

My god what a coup of a battle.

I'm just assuming the Abomination is staring at Avernus right now, then looking at Slaanesh and saying, "So THAT'S what happened..."

Holy fucking shit.

1. You forgot the Sirens on Demoralization. Does that.. change anything?
2. Uhh, would the previous omakes I wrote become canon?

Another 'Vernite Training Song
Omake: Another 'Vernite Training Song

Gather 'round ye lads and lasses, set ye for a word,
And harken to me mournful tale about this terrible world,
Let's all raise our rifles high to friends and family gone,
And lift our voices in another 'vernite trainin' song

Consumption took me mother, me father gored by grox,
Me brother stabbed by the grass out near ol' Yphax,
Three other brothers by spiders met with their demise,
Two sisters have forever closed their smilin' 'verite eyes

(Chorus)
Now everybody's died, so until our tears our dried,
We'll train and train and train and train and then we'll train some more,
We'll run and climb and fight until the early morning light,
Then we'll bunk down, pass out, wake up and go trainin' once again

Dace was killed in Dis and Caspar died in Capar,
Babs from Babylon fell out of an air car,
Sal died in the sands outside of Salem 's one is wont to do,
Fen fell in the Fens, Bays in the Bayou

"Watchfulness is godliness" me Uncle Pat would sing,
'till his neck was broken by some unseen thing,
O'Grady lived to eighty, given youth by the juven-nat
He died out on his final tour, et by cranium rat!

(Chorus)
Now everybody's died, so until our tears our dried,
We'll train and train and train and train and then we'll train some more,
We'll run and climb and fight until the early morning light
Then we'll bunk down, pass out, wake up and go trainin' once again

Joe Murphy fought with Greenskins near walls of Okefenokee,
He took out a rusty choppa and he stabbed him in the knee,
Crazy Uncle Mike thought his pains were gone,
But in fact he fell to Nurgle, now 'es been fed to siren song

When Sadar Volson broke his neck it was a cryin' shame,
He wasn't really 'Vernite, but he fought 'side us all the same,
Olafson rode the void and by a torpedo was hit,
But he was just a Vanaheimer, so nobody gave a shit

(Chorus)
Now everybody's died, so until our tears our dried,
We'll train and train and train and train and then we'll train some more,
We'll run and climb and fight until the early morning light
Then we'll bunk down, pass out, wake up and go trainin' once again

Someday soon I'll leave this world of pain and toil and sin,
The Emperor will take me by the hand to join all of me kin,
Me only wish is when He comes for me and you,
He kills all of the heretics and every greenskin too!

(Chorus)
Now everybody's died, so until our tears our dried,
We'll train and train and train and train and then we'll train some more,
We'll run and climb and fight until the early morning light
Then we'll bunk down, pass out, wake up and go trainin' once again

We probably got a bonus to our Martial again. This kind of massacre is the sort of thing that would do that.
yes, you are on the list as possible gaining a trait. you are nulikely to get another paragon from it and are not anywhere near getting transcendent. a transcendent Martial trait would be terrifying.
one though I have had is removing all distance limits from N Steps ahead

Because there's a desire to accumulate personal power. Right now we're kind of the weakest of the hero units.
It's mostly personal preference, needless to say, seeing us stagnant is for so long is frustrating. :(
Yeah that's another thing, the other heroes are moving forward while our stats have been stagnant for like 100 years. The last time Rotbart got any significant increase was in year 94 from the demonic incursion.

Given how much that third circle Archangyl was slaughtered by, kind of wish we'd put Rotbart there. It would have been pretty much completely safe, and likely given him the combat boost to reach Combat Paragon.
