We can hope that they lack the nessecary sacrifices for the first circle at the moment. We should try to kill as much of their elites as possible before the second wave hits.

Their Elites took a critical mauling. The initial half of their Titan Forces has been rendered basically nonexistent (Durin hasn't edited that bit yet), though the other half is arriving with the second wave (Navy Harassment not rolled yet). Their Angyl Forces are mauled to the point where they practically don't exist anymore, barring a mass sacrifice.

Their currently-untouched elites are.. pretty much their sorcerers and chaos space marines. And Sisters of Battle, I guess. Oh, and Eversor Assassins, they've a ton and haven't used any yet.

Their psykers, Astartes, Helguard equivalent, and a bunch of murder-blenders! Don't forget the Battleship ramming and the Exalted First Circle.

Well... that happened. To them.

@Durin - do we need to vote on anything? Seems like our next moves will really depend on theirs. We don't want to sally if they are going to be dropping ships on us, for instance. Beyond getting Ridcully to spy on their planning, not sure what we can do beyond staying the course until we know more.

I have this feeling that they are going to deploy their Marines soon. It's their only major card left that hasn't been utilized yet.

Maybe an all or nothing attack with their ground forces and simultaneous Space Marine drop pods...

Or they could wait for the reinforcements and use their existing troops for the summoning ritual while the Space Marines try a decapitation strike on Rotbart or something.

I think it's just wait until the next update. Space Harassment hasn't been rolled yet.

Losses like that can't help but degrade their anti-air so we should step up our bombing and drop infantry ops. Among these ops should be attempts to get Last Hunters in among their sorcerer corps.

If they are going to throw capital ships at Dis it might disrupt their space side operations. We should move space forces into position to take advantage. That in turn forces them to be more cautious, thus reducing the rate of crashes.

I still can't imagine some people are salty eventhough we've basically critical-succeeded like 4 times in this update. We've a total of about 7 or 8 crits in our favor at this point in the war TBH.

OK, so the Magma Wyrm's just so happened to turn up at just the right time in just the right place to utterly devastate their titans.

The Third Circle gloriously charging into the breach with the entirety of it's magnificent legions of winged terrors resulted in one slightly charred Third circle Angyl actually managing to land on the walls before Jacob worked out the frustration of his decades in the caverns out on it within a few minutes, resulting in not just a permakill but an overkill permakill, not sure what that means but I'll assume the Abomination's got a killer headache right now.

Then a 100% accurate deathstrike bombardment... wut?

Apparently feeling left out the crusade shot each other for a bit, presumably so they could say they technically got some kills in.

We won so hard they got nothing left but MAD plans, this is going to be very interesting.

@Durin What would have happened if Abomination forces got 1 instead of 2 on their Deathstrikes roll?
Double critical, 16 times kills, uh..
That usually results in double casualties and halving their kills.
The first crit did quad damage, I image a crit fail would have quad damage taken, together would have probable been sixteen or more times damage.

Ajax Nat 100 vs Nat 1 in his fight against the Chaos Space Marines, for *16 times kills, so, yeah.

...well he went down like a raid boss on farm.

Wonder if the 3rd circle angyl was more or less replaceable than the hundred plus titans?

I'm just baffled at how they still have the numbers to sacrifice for a 1st Circle. You'd think that after losing so spectacularly and getting a 3rd Circle permakilled, the Abomination might be just a little bit unhappy at these guys.

The abomination really wants lin dead. That said, how many third circle demons does it even have? I'm trying to ball park how much losing one stings.

Probably a lot TBH, although we might actually have already dealt permanent damage in fractions of a percent.

A first circle, on the other hand. On the other hand. Durin has said that 1st circle are on the level of gods.

At that point its probably a straight swap. Everyone left kills themselves, 1st Circle shows up.
With their morale (or lack thereof) making them practically shit themselves right now, I'm not so sure if the army won't just decide to ignore commissars and run the hell away for real if they get told that they will be sacrificed. Commissars can't manage to kill *everyone* in such a large coordinated stampede, after all.

This started as a joke, but now I'm thinking: Could we use our telepaths to scare their commanders to their breaking point so they go all "Run! Run for your lives!", the army scatters to the four winds and Avernus takes care of the rest? Problem solved and we can get back to dealing with real issues, like some regular and inevitable Magma Wyrm attack that will hit us next year and actually cause some real damage.
