So let's start on selling our Souls to the Planet Mind and worshipping it. It's better then Chaos at least or see about empowering the Beast of the Apocalypse to destory the galaxy:V

A few problems with that.

1. What do we get in exchange I get the feeling charity will be treated harshly and long distance trade isn't really a thing any more.
2. We need all the AM we can get ourselves to buff our planets.
3. We can send them tonnes of our improved flack vests, but I doubt we can send them enough for all 80 worlds worth of people and even then they'd get destroyed in one battle and they probably wouldn't have spares.

ok in order.

1. exactly why i'm saying we should ask for stuff in return. If they don't have enough techs we want to make the trade purely in techs we can ask for other things.

2. I'm not saying sell them weapons, I'm saying sell them the blueprints for weapons. it would not cost us anything material, and hell we could get them give us shit tons of AM for it. They are almost a hundred times our size, they can likely afford to ship the trust significant amounts of AM, even if we have to get them to trade the last forge city upgrades for AM production STCS.

3. we can't sell them meaningful amounts of equipment, which is why any effort to make them stronger would be giving them tech upgrades.

my point is a storm is coming, and if they get overrun by Orks we are turbo fucked because then a massive orkish domain will be right next door.

I meant them providing a courier service for us to ship shinys.

There's no way for us to get the major factions to do any kind of regular shipping for us.
On the other hand the eldar are occasionally known to repay favours if they think they actually owe an individual something and doing so doesn't pose them real risk.

If we somehow(as a pie in the sky amazing opportunity possibility) got a group far enough into our debt that we could ask them to run a single round of messages for us I would ask them to drop off several copies of a couple of documents on every survivable uncorrupted imperial remenant they can easily contact without seriously risking the message carriers.

Such documents should be set up to attempt to make it to local figures of authority and should contain an entreaty to found and begin to support a local branch of a pan-human organization.
One with the goals of:
ensuring that conflicts between nonChaotic human powers are solved through negotiation or with minimal material loss to the species,
ensuring the widest possible spread of strategically useful data among human powers,
guaranteeing negotiations between said human powers (ie. Shooting at whoever first turns a negotiation meeting into an assasination, providing records of how well previous deals have been kept),
helping coordinate joint efforts and campaigns,
and doing what is possible to ensure the success of the trade of low mass high value goods, especially designs, information, and STCS over longish(by age of strife standards) distances.
Maybe also support exchange programs for space marines similar to the deathwatch but specialized into the three traditional inquisitoriaI areas, both to act as a force and to prevent future space marines from forgetting that they share common ground and purpose.

Such documents should contain a first draft of this organizations bylaws and organizational table, with the understanding that these should only be modified by local powers if doing so is conditional to their support of the organization, as doing so subverts the purpose of starting it, and that there will be a requirement for members to study the originals so that anyone claiming to be of this organization can theoretically function alongside the peer branches in other human powers.

It should also contain protocols to integrate with, or exchange personnel with, the parallel branches of the organization such that different branches brought into contact can present a seamless front to outside observers, regardless of cultural or organizational differences between branches. This second set of protocols should never be altered.

Everything suggested in these documents would be backed up with extensive analysis and rational support. (and maybe ask Lin if he can add anything to make it sound more convincing)

Additionally it would be best to backup that the original copies had been approved by the inquisition and the grey knights, but also just directly state at the end that the couriers are unreliable, explain how we got them to carry it, and hope that they haven't altered anything.

Of course this is an impractically optimistic course of action that we'll probably never get the chance to pursue.

Nonetheless getting it out here for discussion gets it out of my head so the idea stops puttering around in the back of my thoughts reminding me that I should tell someone about it.

In order again

1. What other things, they have nothing else we want. They have Blood Angel tech + Terminator armour + Technomancy. All of these are good, Librarian Dreadnaught good, Angelsteel good, Bloodshard bolt, good, Baal predator also good Terminator armour very good, technomancy good. Other than that they have nothing else that interests us and I'd rather not take away the AM and EM they need, which they'd have to transport over incredibly long distances.

2. And I say no at least not DAoT stuff. Not only do they not have enough time to properly implement anything properly, not only is it likely more expensive than they can manage to implement, cause remember at best they have this.
General STCs (+2647.76% to base income)
-Petty: 2471/1500
-Minor: 324/150

Luxury STCs (+2 population morale)

-Petty: 300/100

Healthcare STCs (+3% to population growth, +3 to civilian morale, -45% to plague,)

-Petty: 136/20

Food Production STCs (+2% to population growth, +2 to civilian morale, -45% to famine chances, +106.5% to food produced)

-Petty: 174/50

Advanced Material Production STCs (+710.75% Advanced Material Production)

-Minor: 84/10

Exotic Material Production STCs (+373% Exotic Material Production)

The bolded number is what is available to an Imperial world with access to a Forge World like Atlas's unrestricted data base (in short what we got for finding the Hyper Juvnat.)

Given they would have gotten this from Atlas I can be certain of this, especially since they DON'T have the level of Imperium STCs we were at when the Emperor fell

high end of normal Imperial military tech and normal Imperial economic tech
They don't have the advanced Imperial military tech and their economic tech is average.

Even with the other two forges giving them enough AM and EM implementing high Imperium on even a few of their worlds would take a long time if Midgard is any indicator.

We can give them a significant boost if we get them up to the level we were pre fall, minus what ever extra archeotech we had.

3. Then lets be practical and give them stuff they can have a shot at properly implement in time for the storm coming. We've got at best 50 years and at worst 30
Orks will become far more deadly in between thirty and fifty years time

... give me a sec I seem to remember something stirring in the depths of memory.

I'm kinda going with kill the immediate local Ork domains and leave Tukog on his own. An we warn the Necrons, Dragons Nest, and the Petty Imperium of Karnas about the rise of the Ork Gods and what that will mean for the Orks.

FOUND IT!
If you had written that before the last turn I would have made the Necrons far more likely to talk. As it is you will have a +10% to your next diplomacy with Necrons and are less likely to lose any reputation for opening talks
I'm sure @Durin has forgotten about this, but I DID NOT.

As this bonus was never applied and he made it so long ago I think it might still be good :D.

They also have the two levels of Forges that we're missing.

I forgot to add them stupid alex.

Still point stands that should be more than enough techs for us to get our grubby mitts on.

There's also the instant war options if we REALLLLLLY want to try to get them (BD geneseed and if they still have it Sangunius blood sample)

Hey we could always load the message onto a meteorite tug it to a system they control and leave it there.
2. Send a messenger boat, have them broadcast the message and then leave without waiting for a response, and then screen them for corruption when they get back - hardly an issue if you take reasonable precautions. Also, we're not asking them for help here, or suggesting we coordinate or work together. What we'd be doing is notifying them to prepare for the threat so that it doesn't just steamroll them on the way to us and so they'll be less inclined to get in the way of our own preparations.
Still under the heading of 'help/get help from chaos'.
Thus still under the heading of Bad Things We Should Never Do.

There's also the risk that if we don't tell them that the nearby Orks will just streamroll the unprepared Chaos polities and leave us as their sole target and then we'll be overwhelmed. Anything we do or don't do is going to involve some risk here.
I would rather fight the Orks now than the Chaos gits that survive because we helped them.

Just something to consider, beyond Terminator armor and Baal pattern Predators, we probably want to get the templates for the rest of the Space Marine vehicle list for the Varangian Guard. I'm just not sure what we would offer in exchange.

By the way, would our current power armor designe work better with Black Carapance and could we implant that in normal humans?

ALARM ALARM ANGEL'S TURNING INTO AN ORK ABANDON ALL HOPE!!!!!!

In all seriousness though I dunno if we should do it, but if we did it'd probably be more like wing by yell at them, buzz off and let the orks sit on them as they try to get to us.

We've got them already
Helheim Pattern Rhino- More advanced Rhino
Helheim Pattern Command Rhino- More advanced Command Rhino
Helheim Pattern Razorback- More advanced Razorback
Helheim Pattern Whirlwind- More advanced Whirlwind
Helheim Pattern Skyspear- More advanced Skyspear
Helheim Pattern Vindicator- More advanced Vindicator
Helheim Pattern Vindicator Destroyer- Replaces Demolisher Cannon with Neutron Destroyer
Helheim Pattern Predator- More advanced Predator

The astartes ones all use Black Carapace ones, we humans get DAoT MIU's.

Is more a idea of let them fight one another. we literal cannot kill all the orcs here, even with exterminatus. So let the chaos and the other bleed to.
(and the necro probably had kill the neds of this sector, so why they will allow any kind of enemy here, that can fight them ?)

Given what Saint Lin just said I'm thinking that an Order of Daemon Hunters is going to be in the Telepathica's near future.
Durin said we could analyse Gork and Mork's psyonic frequency which would let us make a counter to it so lets do that first. (Lin can help)

(and the necro probably had kill the neds of this sector, so why they will allow any kind of enemy here, that can fight them ?)
Actually that was probably the orks.

Crons got more important things to worry about than that.

I'm thinking the Necrons will shit their pants once they realize the Orks are becoming something like what they were in the WiH. Even more so once the Orks start employing psychic everything, greater Daemons and some of the nastier superpowers.

Okay.

Bad news is that there is a galactic level threat and we are too small to deal with it.

Good news is that we are a galactic level threat too. :D

I say we go on a discount Great Crusade and mop up all the orks from our subsector and integrate the non-chaos human polities into the trust.

Thank god we have Chaplain Horatius, I'd put good odds on him being able to kill From Beyond -> Emerald Storm Prime Orks.

Gotta say I kinda wish we kept the MOI STC for this.

No, we have the ground vehicles. There are still a bunch of aircraft exclusive to the Astartes that we don't have. There's the Xiphon, the Stormtalon, the Stormraven, the Stormhawk, and the Caestus assault ram that we're missing.
