Questions...

1 - Did all of the Grey Knights make it?
2 - Your thoughts on the idea that survivors of the invasion would have gotten "I survived the invasion" traits?

Also, Oh My Goodness the wildlife. Armies of lizards, some on the titan scale.

Yep. The planet is *cultivating* us. If it really wanted to wipe us out, we'd be dead.

While there were no clear views or details there were also reports of armies of reptilian creatures, some in the titan scale, marching north past the cities of Avernus' Spine and Lindon.

Hmm.

It seems the fight isn't over yet...Now it's time for a counter attack against the invasion. They may have set up shop next to the penguins after giving said penguins a good thrashing. I'm sorry SV but this is the only clear conclusion.

Lions have demanded that Chaos in all it's form stay out of it's pride. They see humans as their pets and enjoy their petting as well as eating them when they see weakness. Trully, these Lions could be said to be Avernus it self.

That Scaled Pillar thing is effing insane. WTF is it?

Also the Lions are likely to be one of the other native Avernite civilizations, together with the Trolls, Sirens, and whatever those lizardmen were.

The Hereticus were generally assholes.
Yes, but they did more good than bad which is why they were kept around. We'll obviously have to change a lot of their operating procedures but that goes the same for Malleus and Xenos.

Possibly thinking about the many many MANY heretics we'll have after this? I mean, it's still a bad idea, but not the worst one.
This. We're gonna get a lot of cultists and having a branch of the Inquisition focused on them would be useful. Then there's doing the original purpose of Hereticus which is to keep an eye on the Church. It's not a problem right now what with Saint Lin being the head but Hereticus is the reason why the Ecclesiarchy never got another Vandire.

How come?

By the way, where were the Grey Knights during all this?
There were four Grey Knights on Avernus. One was with Frederick, one was with Britton, one was with Lin, and one was with Ultan. They each gave +5 to the survival roll of the people they were attached to.

You know it feels like only a handful of people actually read the discussions between GM posts.
There is nothing wrong with that.

The third new species are a type of Lion with some similarities to Phase-Tigers.
Someone here gave them the name 'Nemean Phasers'. They seem to have many more powers besides phasing but 'Nemean' seems like a good inclusion to whatever name we give them.

Not by the standards of the Imperial Truth. There's a reason that Saint Lin specifically called for its dissolution.

EDIT: Wait no that was for that Inquisition-department responsible for editing all the historical texts.
@durin: Did Saint Lin do anything to proscribe the Ordo Hereticus?

I'm seriously wondering on whether or not we have Lizardmen Spawning Pools and their Mayaincatec Temples somewhere on Avernus.

Instead of reviving Ordo Hereticus can't we just continue with Having Saint Lin where he is and using the Arbites as our enforcement arm? They've been great in keeping the peace and killing Chaos Psykers.

Thats up to the Inquisition which we have absolutely no control over.

This. Jane has become so good at hunting down cultists and chaos psykers that she's actually getting bored of killing so many of them.

She's basically a one-woman Hereticus.

I would argue that the Hereticus is unnecessary. The role of the church has changed substantially, and it has fallen under the umbrella of general governmental authority--while there are separations, they are no longer a truly separate organization that can tell the government to fuck off if they want to investigate them.

As far as cultists go, I would argue those fall into Arbites and Ordo Maleus authority. For actual church corruption (of the crime kind, rather than chaos kind) they should be treated like every other organization with internal and external watchdogs.

At some point, we might want to put together something above the traditional Arbites--focusing on larger internal threats like high level crime, spying, information security, etc.

What Stormgear said. Man do I wish I could have her babies!

Just imagine how bad ass they would be when complimenting Syrs skills?

1. yes
2. yes they will

Now we need to get the cult report and since this was in year five we did the Personal Attention: Long Term Planning action before this happened but never did get to the vote on the make up of our fleet.

My love of the Lizardmen and Dinosaurs in general wants to investigate them so badly :D

no but he did proscribe many of its activities and credit it with playing a major part in the creation of the Abomination
recession though fear, which is what the Herticus did, is exactly what not to do in the new environment
