What about carrying capacity? How many regiments would it hold?
For this long?so are a lot of people, they have had consistent bad luck with those rolls
at least a thousand, possibly four or five thousandWhat about carrying capacity? How many regiments would it hold?
they have a 5% chance of leaving the Warp Storm per yearFor this long?
The odds of rolls being that bad is near impossible!
The ship can carry between 10-50 million men/soldiers (with all of their gear) in addition to its normal complement with no effect on its operations?
its 24 kilometers long and around five kilometers in other dimensions, that is over six hundred cubic kilomtersThe ship can carry between 10-50 million men/soldiers (with all of their gear) in addition to its normal complement with no effect on its operations?
Hot damn.
I almost wonder if there is a Colony ship among the wrecks. It would be nice to know that if we found one and got it ready, we could send of them out with an escort towards a perspective world.
It's possible one might be around because it was being used as a life boat for refugees and even more soldiers. I mean at some point you gotta imagine someone was thinking if everything went wrong we'd need to restart civilization somewhere, we might as well have a ship designed just for that. Safest place for such a ship would be in a military fleet regardless.Very doubtful. A colony ship would have fled long before the battle started, and I doubt the humans were doing much colonizing during the war with the Men of Iron going on.
So anywhere from 5 to 25 Troop Transports worth of space just for troops, tanks, etc. Damn, that's awesome. At minimum it would hold most of the Helguard and Helltroopers. And then it has even larger amounts of fighters and bombers.
Yeah, this thing would be very good to work as the center of either an invasion fleet intent on taking a planet by force or as a relief ship to securely bring troops to a world in peril.
Not a military fleet planning for a battle.Safest place for such a ship would be in a military fleet regardless.
Can we tow and use the too badly damaged hulks for space habitats?its 24 kilometers long and around five kilometers in other dimensions, that is over six hundred cubic kilomters
Well maybe there is at least a couple of refueling ships or something along those lines then. A fleet has been constantly refueled after all.
There is no way a fleet this size can just operate on it's own for this long, even if they were going into a battle they'd still need to maintain some supply lines while they waited. Especially if they actually had to leave system at any point.
the regular if you want the ground to survive, otherwise the Gravatic onesHmm... yes... rather attractive.
And with the Gravatic Battleship to destroy defenses, and then the Brute Battleship to close combat, that could be a very attractive combination.
@durin Which of the command battleships would Tranth rank as best suited for ground bombardment? (Both dealing damage, and tanking ground fire).
Okay look, I'm trying to give Durin ideas for things that are useful outside of combat. Honestly I'm not in the mood to do more searches and finding a bunch more combat vessels, I'd like something that can actually help with the expansion of our space industry. The ships work on plasma reactors for power, and a single refueling would probably last for months, even years. Helheim also likely had orbital industry to support fueling stuff, but all the orbital stuff is gone as best as we can tell.
Thank you, that is good to know and quite useful.
The second new piece of archeotech were incredibly advanced sniper rifles, which use gravatic impulses to shoot a variety of ammunition types, of differing sizes, at anything from hundreds of meters per seconds to hundreds of kilometres per second.
Acid seems kinda pointless. Any chemical would be instantly converted to plasma by an impact at that speed. The second most common form of ammunition discovered were the acid rounds, which have many similarities to Hellfire Rounds except using a far more powerful acid.
It's pretty likely the Chaos Gods wanted to lose. They're aware they don't do the whole "sustainability" thing well, so a wounded, decrepit Imperium founded on ignorance and superstitions, too weak to prevent them from taking what they wanted, but strong enough to hold itself together as Chaos leeched champions and worshipers from their castoffs would be best for them.It might not be dangerous but it's also completely wrong. He was just as powerful as any one of them, possibly even more powerful. This was proved beyond the shadow of a doubt when he obliterated the soul of their champion despite being weakened and mortally wounded.
the acid rounds are for when the gun is not firing at max power, which would drain a lot of your charge and make it blindingly obvious where you areAcid seems kinda pointless. Any chemical would be instantly converted to plasma by an impact at that speed.
So I guess we didn't find a Turbo-Penetration like round? I figure it's because the Penetration of the Super-Exitus is already so nuts that it was kind of pointless.the acid rounds are for when the gun is not firing at max power, which would drain a lot of your charge and make it blindingly obvious where you are
no you didn't and that is most likely the reasonSo I guess we didn't find a Turbo-Penetration like round? I figure it's because the Penetration of the Super-Exitus is already so nuts that it was kind of pointless.
