I know you said no promises but I hold out hope that the Stasis Field lasted all the way to within 5 years give or take from now. But after we search the carrier can you tell us what we got from the omake and what was already there?
Well we have a chance, so for know we wait for the update, tis all we can do.

@durin

1)Can leopold schwarz teach his grandmastery to rotbart and the other swordmasters of avernus?

2) Does Rotbart's combat bonus on his stat sheet(+675) already include the bonus from swordmastery, heroes luck, and the black crystal jewellery?

3) Do the ancient defense cruiser technologies also apply to any new orbital defenses we construct?

4) can the void shield from the daot frigate be adapted to our cities?

5) can ion shields be placed on tanks and artillery?
1. No grandmaster can't be taught
2. not it does not
3. Yes they will
4. Not easily due to scale, it would be better to study the Hyper Carriers shields

This year seven hundred and ten thousand thousand troopers fell defending their homes from the local wildlife while another twenty thousand men fell fighting cults.
Only 180,000 troopers fell in Avernus' Spine this year, with the lack of troll attacks on Lemnos playing a major part in the drop.
80,000 men died defending the Azure Islands from the wildlife this year as attacks rose by a third.
Only 80,000 men were killed in Lindon this year as attacks of all kinds died down.
The number of attacks in the Everglades started to fall, reaching 80,000 troopers dying this year.
Ten armour regiments fell to the wildlife in Elysium this year, far better then last year.
The large Titan Scorpions attacks ended , with only 170,000 troopers falling in Aridia over the year.

Super Heavy Transport- With the discovery of the Magni Transporter General Drago now has access to a massive transport capable of carrying as much supplies as hundreds of ordinary transports and as tough as a Titan. General Drago would like to build a full score of companies, each ten strong. This would double your overall transport capacity while making your supply train far less vulnerable. General Drago does not consider this to be urgent, though he would prefer to do it before the next offworld campaign.

Time: 5 years

Cost: 164,700 Thrones, 82,350 Material, 91,500 Promethium, 6,880 Advanced Material, 48 Exotic Material.
Upkeep per year: 16,470 Thrones, 8,235 Material, 45,750 Promethium, 344 Advanced Material, 1 Exotic Material.
Reward: Recruit 10 Magni Transporter Companies, each including 10 Magni Transporters.

Locked – Three out of Five years completed

Late this year the Magni Transporters started to be completed, a noteworthy event as they are by far the military vehicles built built on Avernus. Now that they have begun to be available the crews are starting to train in the use of their new vehicles. General Drago estimates that it will take a year for the crews to be sufficiently familiar with their vehicles to take them into battle.

Air Superiority- One of the few weaknesses of the Avernus PDF is the lack of a powerful air force. General Drago would like to change that by doubling the size of your air force, bringing your total fighters up to sixty-thousand. It would take over half a decade to train the pilots but General Drago still considers this to be urgent.

Time: 6 years

Cost: 6,960,000 Thrones, 860,100 Material, 302,500 Promethium.
Upkeep per year: 696,010 Thrones, 86,010 Material, 151,231 Promethium.
Reward: Recruit 300 Lightning Fighter Squadrons, 300 Thunderbolt Fight Squadrons, 300 Avenger Strike Fighter Squadrons, 200 Marauder Bomber Squadrons, 200 Marauder Destroyer Squadrons, 50 Marauder Vigilant Squadrons, 300 Cargo Wings

Locked – Three out of Six years completed

Late this year the retrained civilian pilots reached a high enough sill level that General Drago was able to deploy them. He has split up the vast majority of his squadrons so they will be one half veterans, one quarter retrained civilians and one quarter new recruits. Speaking of the new recruits they have been doing well in their training and will most likely be able to join their squadrons sometime next year.

Recon Amour: Phase-Tigers: Planning- Now that you can afford to General Dargo has proposed equipping the Phase-Tigers with Recon Advanced Power Armour. While this sounds simple in principle it means that an entire new standard operating procedure and organisation will need to be invented from the ground up which will take some time.

Time: 3 years
Chance of Success: 60%

Cost: 14,400,000 Thrones, 144,000 Material, 28,800 Promethium, 17,200 Advanced Material.
Reward: Get Composition of Recon Armour Battalions, train the Phase-Tigers to act as 10 Recon Armour Battalions, must be selected with Recon Amour: Phase-Tigers: Implantation

Locked – Two out of Three years completed

The final unit composition for a Recon Battalion has been decided, ten companies each containing five twenty man platoons which would be divided into four five man squads. This composition is entirely infantry due to the fact that Recon Armour has far better stealth than any known vehicle. As the force organisation chart was being debated the Phase-Tigers were getting used to useing Recon Armour. Even though they are still getting the hang of it they are supposedly terrifyingly stealthy, having snuck past alert Avernite sentries that knew they were coming many times.

Expand Naval Academy- In a few years your shipyards will be able to begin repairing the hulked warships in the ship graveyard. This will be far quicker then building new ships from scratch and you will be able to repair warships faster then you can crew them. Freya would like to vastly expand the Naval Academy in order to provide this crew.

Time: 5 years

Cost: 30,500,000 Thrones, 305,000 Material, 305,000 Promethium, 8,670 Advanced Material.
Upkeep per year: 3,050,000 Thrones, 30,500 Material, 30,500 Promethium, 867 Advanced Materiel.

Reward: Navel Academy Expanded, can train three hundred thousand crew a year.

Complete

This year the first class of the expanded Avernus Naval Academy was started, with hundreds of thousands of ratings, tens of thousands of warrant officers and hundreds of officers starting their training. Despite a few minor issues training is going well and Admiral Parnell is confident that this Academy will be able to provide large quantities of trained crew, enough to man any ships you acquire for the foreseeable future.

Expand Shipyards- Large as your shipyards are they still are nothing compared to Vanahiem's, which themselves are insufficient to replace losses like those suffered over Midgard in a timely manner. Henry has put forward a plan to continue to increase your Naval production by building another small shipyard .

Time: 5 years. (can be taken multiple times)

Cost: 144,000,000 Thrones, 21,600,000 Material, 10,800,000 Metal, 21,600,000 Promethium, 1,032 Advanced Material, 48 Exotic Material.
Upkeep per year: 34,800,000 Thrones, 5,220,000 Material, 2,610,000 Metal, 5,220,000 Promethium
Reward: 1 new small shipyard can build three more merchantmen at a time, increase to material production, decrease to ship upkeep.

Locked – Two out of Four years completed: Expedited

The skeleton of the new shipyard over Deiphobe was completed late this year, which will allow for Admiral Parnell to begin working on the inner portions next year. The first portion of the machinery has been completed and will begin to be installed next year. The new workers are shaping up well and will most likely be ready in two years time as planned.

Expedite: Construct: Repair Defence Cruisers: Part One- Admiral Parnell would like to begin his attempts to repair ships in the ship graveyard by repairing a dozen of the most intact Defence Cruisers. This would massively increase your ability to engage hostile fleets in the Avernus system while being far quicker and cheaper than building new ships. Admiral Parnell strongly recommends that you begin this immediately.

Time: 5 years

Cost: 100,700,000 Thrones, 5,490,000 Material, 366,000 Promethium, 51,600 Advanced Material, 259 Exotic Material.
Upkeep per year: 2,928,000 Thrones, 366,000 Material, 732,000 Promethium, 2,064 Advanced Material, 21 Exotic Material.
Reward: repair 12 mostly intact Helheim Pattern Defence Cruisers

Locked – One out of Four years completed: Expedited

This year a dozen of the most intact Helheim Pattern Defence Cruisers were carefully moved to your shipyards over Deiphobe where repair work began. Even before they finished moving, survey teams were clawing all over them attempting to determine exactly how damaged they were and what needed repairs. They were fully explored within the first month, during which some of the more obvious pieces of battle damage were being repaired. Admiral Parnell reports that the repair work is going well and should be completed within a few years as planned.

The population growth of Avernus increased to 2.02% this year for a combination of reasons.

This year the population of Dis grew by only 0.07%, with the change coming for no known reason.
The population growth of Avernus' Spine increased significantly to 5.21% this year.
The population of The Azure Islands grew by 2.94% this year, with there being no obvious reason for the increase in population growth.
The population of Lindon increased by 1.97% this year as attacks decreased.
Population growth in the Everglades increased to 2.45% this year.
The population of Elysium continued to grow with 0.94% population growth.
Population growth in Aridia increased halved to 1.89% this year for no single reason.

Administratum Reorganisation: Part Four – Now that the Imperium has collapsed, other things are in the process of doing so as well. Henry wishes to reorganise the Administratum to be more efficient over small areas. This will be a long and difficult process, but Henry will continue now that he has started. This is the fourth out of five planned reorganisation phases and is larger in scope then any of the previous plans.

Time: 4 years.
Chance of Success: 30%

Cost: 66,500,000 Thrones.
Reward: increase administrative bonus by 4%

Locked – Three out of Four years completed

The first members of Henry's watch dog organisations have begun intensive training this year in preparation for their tasks. They are training in administrative procedures and theory under Henry as well as investigative work under Jane. Henry believes that it will take another two or three years to train them to a high enough level but that they could be ready as soon as by the end of next year.

Expand Phase-Tiger Enclosures- The current Phase-Tiger enclosures are beginning to reach full capacity and are expected to get there within six years. Henry would like to greatly expand them, allowing the number of Phase-Tigers to reach the point were an entire regiment can be fielded with them. This will take four years to do meaning that you should begin either this year or next year.

Time: 4 years.

Cost: 96,080,000 Thrones, 19,220,000 Material, 19,220,000 Metal, 4,804,000 Promethium, 270,900 Advanced Material.
Upkeep per year: 9,607,500 Thrones, 1,921,500 Metal, 1,921,500 Promethium, 27,090 Advanced Material.
Reward: enlarges Phase-Tiger enclosures increasing capacity to 45,000

Locked – Two out of Four years completed

The enclosures that will hold the Phase-Tigers were completed this year but work still continues on constructing the Void Shield Generators that will keep them trapped inside. According to Henry it will take another year to build the Void Shield Generators and several moths to tune them correctly to keep all of the Phase-Tigers trapped.

Upgrade Defences: The Fair Isle and Garden Grove- Now that construction is well under way at Dis and Hollin Henry has put forward a plan to further upgrade the defences of both The Fair Isle and Garden Grove. This will be expensive and time consuming but will bring the defence of Avernus one step closer to the next level. Henry would prefer to wait until the current upgrades are finished before starting these upgrades.

Time: 6 years

Cost: 702,700,000 Thrones, 683,200,000 Material, 644,200,000 Metal, 144,900,000 Promethium, 29,280 Advanced Material.
Upkeep per year: 7,027,200 Thrones, 6,832,000 Material, 6,551,600 Metal, 1,449,360 Promethium, 293 Advanced Material.
Reward: upgrade the defences of The Fair Isle and Garden Grove to Super-Heavy

Locked – One out of Six years completed

The year the design team once more sat down and created a customised defensive layout for The Fair Isle and Garden Grove. It took eight months for the plans to be finalised but from what you can tell the defences will be every bit as deadly as those of Dis and Hollin. In the final four months of the year work on the defences had begun, though little progress has been made so far.

Both Vanaheim and Midgard have been released from the Warp Storm this year, much to the relief of many. Both Midgard and Vanaheim have been able to maintain good order, in Vanaheim's case by spending most of its treasury on retraining factory workers and closing down several of its factories.

A delivery of Mass Conveyors from Vanaheim has arrived as promised, though over a decade late.

Contact Northern Trolls- Inquisitor Klovis-Ultan wishes to finish his attempts to contact the Northern Trolls, who should have selected a Chief by now. He has already done most of the groundwork and is near totally confident that he will be able to get into contact with the new Chief within a year.

Time: 1 year
Chance of Success: 75% (Inquisitorial re-roll can not be used)

Cost: 6,100,000 Thrones, 305,000 Material, 6,100 Promethium, 43 Advanced Material.
Reward: Diplomatic Contact with one the Northern Troll Tribe.

Complete
d100=52+ 15(diplomacy) =77: Success

This year Klovis-Ultan was able to arrange a meeting with the new High Chief of the Northern Trolls, High Chief Huge Galena. Huge Galena is open to the idea of a peace treaty and willing to set up a meeting early next year. Inquisitor Klovis-Ultan gets the impression that Huge Galena's position is not very secure and he wishes to use this treaty to shore up his own position, which means that he is likely to ask for more the the previous High Chiefs did.

Double Down: Contact Trolls- Inquisitor Klovis-Ultan has suggested trying to make diplomatic contact with one of the Trollish High Chiefs. If successful this could lead to forming a peace treaty or even alliance with one of the Troll tribes which could prove to be very useful, and lead to some more diplomatic issues in the Imperial Trust.

Time: 2 years
Chance of Success: 50% (Inquisitorial re-roll can not be used)

Cost: 12,200,000 Thrones, 610,000 Material, 12,200 Promethium, 87 Advanced Material.
Reward: Diplomatic Contact with one of the Troll Tribes.

Locked – One out of Two years completed

This year Inquisitor Klovis-Ultan began attempts to make peaceful contact with the Troll High Chief near Casarrondo. So far he has had a bit of success and has mostly been able to convince one of the local Clan Chiefs that he wishes to meet the High Chief for peaceful reasons and the message has been passed on. You expect that the High Chief will be willing to talk, all of the others were.

The number of Abomination Cultists increased slightly to a hundred and ninety-five thousand per year. On average it takes eleven days to locate an outer circle cultists and five days for an inner circle cultist, exactly the same as last year.

Of the hundred and forty-one major Psykers located this year twenty of them were Chaotic.
Fifteen of the Chaotic Psykers consisting of one Delta-level, three Epsilon-levels and eleven Zeta-levels were killed without causing any significant levels of damage this year.
The first Chaos Psyker to cause problems this year was a Zeta-level Telepath in Babylon who killed one million two hundred thousand militiamen, two hundred and forty PDF Troopers, and a pair of Witch Sniffers by carefully influencing the minds of several thousand milita commanders to cause as much chaos as possible when he gave the word. This worryingly talented Chaos Psyker was hunted down and killed by Primaris Xavier.
The second group of Chaos Psykers to cause problems was a Delta-level Daemonologist and a pair of Zeta-level Pyromancers in Dis who killed three hundred and eighty PDF Troopers, a hundred and ten Helltroopers, two Witch Hunters, one Psyker Hunters, three Witch Sniffers, one minor Battle Psyker and one major Battle Psyker (Epsilon-level Telepath) before being hunted down by the Witch Hunters.
The fifth Chaos Psyker to cause problems was a Delta-level Pyromancer in Arbor, who killed a hundred thousand militiamen, two hundred and forty PDF Troopers, seventeen Witch Hunters, twelve Psyker Hunters, six Witch Sniffers, two minor Battle Psykers, one Veteran minor Battle Pysker and one major Battle Psyker (Zeta-level Biomancer). This Psyker was eventually killed by a Psyker Hunter sniper team, who took him out from over four kilometres away with a Impaler Sniper.

The untainted major Psykers included two Gamma-levels, thirteen Delta-levels, thirty-five Epsilon-levels and seventy-one Zeta-levels.
Four thousand, six hundred and eighty-three Psykers were located by the Witch Sniffers this year, as usual more then were found last year.

Way of the Blade (Syr)- Now that Syr has the very basics of swordsmanship down Jane is able to start teaching her the slightly more advanced parts. This will take a few years but Jane's teachings is without a doubt one of the best ways to prepare her for life on Avernus.

Time: 2 years
Chance of Success: 50% (uses Syrs combat)
Reward: Syr gains Swordsman (+1C, +10 to melee rolls)

d100=24+10(Combat)+20(teacher)=54: Success
Syr upgrades Trait Novice Swordsman to Swordsman (+1C, +10 to melee rolls)- Arbitrator Jane Oakheart has taught Syr enough swordsmanship for her to be well above average, though Syr can't be called truly skilled yet.

Over this year Jane continued to teach Syr swordsmanship, taking full advantage of Syr's better focus to bring her up to a decent level of skill. She succeeded in this but would like to spend another few years teaching Syr more, wanting to get her to at least skilled before her tutelage ends.

Border Security- This year Jane has put forward a proposal to greatly strengthen the border security of Avernus. This would greatly impact on smuggling, unauthorised migration and reduce the chance of any Avernite diseases getting off planet. Jane tells you that you have been lucky so far with Avernite diseases staying on Avernus but that current border security is not enough to ensure that this luck continues.

Time: 3 years.

Cost: 18,300,000 Thrones, 915,000 Material, 183,000 Metal, 91,500 Promethium, 860 Advanced Material.
Upkeep per year: 1,830,000 Thrones, 91,500 Material, 18,300 Metal, 9,150 Promethium, 43 Advanced Material.
Reward: Better Border security, reduced chance of illegal migrants, smuggling or Avernite diseases reaching other worlds.

Locked – One out of Three years completed

This year Jane and her staff, mostly her staff, began to strengthen Avernus' border security. At the moment this consists of training and equipping a large force to though search everything going into or out of a Merchantman. She is also setting up several medical stations which will give everyone entering or leaving a Void capable ship a thorough medical examination in order to detect if they are carrying any plagues.

This year the Collegia Reconstructus competed the STC for Improved Fighter Sensors. This is the last STC that the Collegia Reconstructus is able to handle until it is either significantly upgraded or more STCs are found.

These sensors are significantly more accurate and detailed than any modern version and will make it easier for pilots and gunners to locate hostile and friendly fighters. This will reduce the chance that enemies can ambush them as well as providing a boost to general efficiency, particularly in low-light conditions.
+10 to Fighter sensor rolls, +5 to combat rolls which is increased further in low light conditions up to +15. Fabricator-General Britton will immediately start equipping your fighters with it and tells you that it will have little impact on the cost.

Kraken Hunters- Now that he has readied the technology required to take control of a kraken Magos Biologis Saren would like to gather a force to catch one. This force would include several regiments of Skitrii supported by a full division of Tech-Guard and be equipped with the weapons that Magos Biologis Saren has prepared for the hunt. One Trained and equipped this force will remain on standby in the Azure Islands until an opportunity to catch a kraken appears.

Time: 3 years.

Cost: 6,100,000 Thrones, 1,220,00 Material, 61,000 Promethium, 8,600 Advanced Material.
Reward: Force gathered to hunt Kraken, this force will remain intact until it gets an opportunity to catch a kraken which it will take without requiring an action.

Complete

This year Magos Biologis Saren's Kraken Hunters finished their training and are ready to be deployed. They are currently stationed on Arbor, which has the highest number of kraken sightings and are able to quickly redeploy if a kraken is sighted near another city. Now that training is complete Magos Biologis Saren is able to focus on another project while waiting for them to catch a kraken.

Detailed Survey (Gravatic Command Battleship)- The Gravatic Command Battleship is a almost totally intact thirteen kilometre warship. This ship is built around a massive gravatic array, only having enough other weapons for basic self-defence. Until more is discovered about the gravatic array little can be determined about the battlefield role of this warship, though it was almost certainly intended to avoid the main battlelines. The main reason to examine this ship is the gravatic array, which while almost certainly to complex to replicate may be in good enough condition to repair and will be able to further Archmagos Explorator Tranth's understanding of Gravatics.

Reward: Search the all the Gravatic Command Battleship for archeotech, and intact datacore and get more detail on the capabilities of the Gravatic Command Battleship.

Complete

This year Archmagos Explorator Tranth and his survey teams finished their examination of the Gravatic Command Battleship. They were not able to determine much about the Gravatic Array and therefore the purpose of the ship but made many other discoveries, such as the fact that while the reactor is offline it seems to be in good enough condition that few repairs will need to be made to bring it online and allow the ship to move, and use some of its weapon systems.

As expected there were a massive range of archotech weapons found on the Gravatic Command Battleship with all of the known types in addition to several new varieties. There was also a decent collection of vehicles, including nearly a dozen Knights Forlorn
gained 620 Plasma Pistols, 370 Plasma Guns, 186 Plasma Cannons, 234 Plasma Flamers, 62 Plasma Foils.
gained 180 Grav Pistols, 124 Grav Guns, 66 Grav Cannons
gained 22 Conversion Beamers
gained 6 Vortex Grenades
gained 760 Neutron Lasers
gained 11 Knights Forlorn
gained 180 Jetbikes
gained 20 Land Speeders

The first of the new archeotech weapons found is currently being called the Spider Mine. These mines when dropped will dig themselves into the ground, even in most forms of rock or non-armour grade metal and wait for hostiles to approach. When its sensors spot a hostile of sufficient mass the Spider Mine will rise up, run under or into the tank and explode. This makes the Spider Mine a very power antitank mine that will be deadly against anything from Shocktroopers to Baneblades. A hundred and fifty Spider Mines were found.

The second new piece of archeotech were incredibly advanced sniper rifles, which use gravatic impulses to shoot a variety of ammunition types, of differing sizes, at anything from hundreds of meters per seconds to hundreds of kilometres per second. This weapon has the most advanced targeting scope that Archmagos Explorator Tranth has ever heard of, making the Exitus Rifle seem simple. These weapons, currently being called Super-Exitus Rifles, have a variable shot selector which currently has three forms of remaining ammunition. The most common and most simple is were carefully shaped Adamantine spikes, designed to pierce flesh and armour while doing massive damage. This shot is simple to engineer and will be no challenge to replicate. The second most common form of ammunition discovered were the acid rounds, which have many similarities to Hellfire Rounds except using a far more powerful acid. These deadly rounds will be far harder to craft than the previous version but Archmagos Explorator Tranth thinks that between him and Fabricator-General Britton they will be able to figure out how to make more. The final form of ammunition found seems to be a more effective, and complex, Shield Breaker Round. This round is incredibly complicated and Archmagos Explorator Tranth tells you that it will be incredibly hard to reverse engineer, or make once you have the engineering capability for it. Eight Super-Exitus Rifles were found along with a hundred and eighty-five Adamantine Spikes, forty-two Hellfire Rounds and twenty-three Shield Breaker Rounds.

Also found were eighteen stasis grenades, examples of a powerful weapon the making of which only the greatest of Forge-Worlds preserved. They are incredibly complex but Archmagos Explorator Tranth hopes that with Headmaster Ridcully's aid he will eventually be able to reverse engineer them.

Recon Amour: Phase-Tigers: Implementation- Fabricator-General Britton has informed you that Avernus now has enough production to equip an entire regiment with Recon Advanced Power Armour. It will take a few years to make enough armour and weapons to go with it but the sheer thought of Recon Armoured Phase-Tigers is worth the time and cost.

Time: 3 years.

Cost: 1,420,000 Thrones, 14,200 Promethium, 35,200 Advanced Material, 1,920 Exotic Material
Upkeep per year: 284,000 Thrones, 7,100 Promethium, 3,520 Advanced Material, 96 Exotic Material.
Reward: Phase-Tigers equipped with Recon Advanced Power Armour and weapons to go with it. Must be taken with Recon Amour: Phase-Tigers: Planning.

Locked – Two out of Three years completed

The construction of more Recon Advanced Power Armour continued this year, with over seven thousand having been completed. Fabricator-General Britton tells you that the remaining three thousand should be ready within a year, allowing all of the Phase-Tigers to get a suit before they finish their training.

Detailed Survey (Hyper-Carrier)- The Hyper-Carrier is a half destroyed twenty-four kilometre long warship. This ship combines massive engines and powerful weapon batteries with the largest, most advanced attack craft bays that Tranth has ever heard of as well as a pair of Ragnarok Cannons. This ship was probably used as a heavy carrier capable of unleashing massive waves of attack craft while providing heavy fire support. Its speed would have allowed it to quickly re-locate so that it could deploy its attack craft in the best possible location. This ship undoubtedly has the remains of many Dark Age attack craft as well as powerful weapons batteries and Ragnarok Cannons.

Reward: Search the all the Hyper-Carrier for archeotech, and intact datacore and get more detail on the capabilities of the Hyper-Carrier.

Locked – One out of Two years completed

Archmagos Explorator Tranth and his survey teams started their examination of the Hyper-Carrier this year in the hope that it would have an intact datacore. He has not finished searching the entire ship but has yet to find one. One the other hand he has found many new forms of archeotech vehicles, land and space as well as several new weapons and a new Advanced Power Armour. The Advance Power Armour was found near the attack craft hangers and seems to be an improved version of Pilot Power Armour.

More Witch Hunter Seminaries – Saint Lin would like to like to build a new Witch Hunter Seminary in every city on Avernus. This would greatly increase the amount of Witch Hunters recruited per year and allow their numbers to keep up with the Psyker Hunters once Janes new Psyker Hunter Academies start work.

Time: 6 years.

Cost: 102,900,000 Thrones, 20,590,000 Material, 1,029,000 Metal, 102,900 Promethium.
Upkeep per year: 10,480,410 Thrones, 2,075,220 Material, 102,938 Metal, 11,941 Promethium, 604 Advanced Materials.
Reward: Number of Witch Hunters recruited increases to 1,200 per year.

Locked – Four out of Five years completed: Expedited

Midway though the year the teachers at the Witch Hunter Seminaries finished their training. This allowed them to play a major role in the selection of the first class, which started training five months ago. Saint Lin would like to oversee a full year of training in order to ensure that there are no flaws in the training but is relativity confident that there are none.

Grief Counselling (Both)- Both you and Syr have been hit hard by Freya's death last week. Saint Lin has offered to spend some time helping one or both of you deal with your grief over the year.

Time: 1 year

Cost: Free
Reward: Either +30 to Coping, +30 to Helping Syr Cope or +15 to both

Complete

Saint Lin continued to devote a lot of his time to helping you and Syr cope with your loss and was one of the main reasons that you are both on the mend. You are sure that without his support Syr would still be near unresponsive and you would not be nearly as close to making a recovery as you are. Now that the grief is not so recent you can truly see the wisdom in his words.

Of the seventy-six major Psykers who underwent the trials this year forty-eight passed, including one of the four Delta-levels, seventeen of the twenty-eight Epsilon-levels and thirty out of forty-four Zeta-levels.
The Delta-level Telepath as is training as a Battle Psyker.
Two of the three Epsilon-level Biomancers, all four Pyromancers, two of the five Telekinetics, the only the Telepaths and two of the three Daemonologists are being trained as Battle Psykers. One Biomancer, the only Diviner, three Telekinetics and one Daemonologist are being trained as Sanctionites.
Five of the seven Zeta-level Biomancers, one of the four Diviners, five of the seven Pyromancers and two of the seven Telekinetics entered training as Battle Psykers this year. Two Biomancers, two Pyromancers, five Telekinetics, one Telepath and two Daemonologists are being trained as Sanctionites. The three Diviners and Telepath are training as Neo-Astropaths while one Psyker has been taken by the Inquisition for training.
Of the two thousand, six hundred and three minor Psykers to undergo the trials this year four hundred and forty-one failed. Five hundred and seventy-nine of those who passed are training as Battle Psykers, five hundred and ninety-five as Witch Sniffers and nine hundred and thirty-nine as Sanctionites while forty-nine have been taken by the Inquisition for training.

One Zeta-level Diviner, one Zeta-level Pyromancer, one Epsilon-level Telekinetic, one Zeta-level Telepath and twenty-six minor psykers have developed their skills enough to graduate from Battle Psyker to Veteran Battle Psyker.

Among the major Battle Psykers one Epsilon-level Biomancer, Zeta-level Biomancer, one Epsilon-level Pyromancer, one Zeta-level Pyromancer, one Zeta-level Telepath and Zeta-level Daemonologist died this year along with one Veteran minor Battle Psykers and one hundred and eleven minor Battle Psykers.
Among the major Sanctionites one Epsilon-level Biomancer, one Zeta-level Pyromancer, one Zeta-level Telepath and one Zeta-level Daemonologist died along with ninety-one minor Sanctionites and seventy-eight Witch Sniffers. One Epsilon-level Neo-Astropathic Receiver was also taken by Avernus this year.

Expand Unseen University: Regional City- The Unseen University is currently expected to be filled to its capacity within the next few years. Primaris Xavier could oversee the beginning of its final expansion immediately. This would allow the Unseen University to contain a truly massive number of psykers but this number in a single location would be dangerous. While incredibly expensive a Psyker City this size will eventually have to be built on Avernus.

Time: 5 years

Cost: 2,440,000,000 Thrones, 244,000,000 Material, 122,000,000 Metal, 24,400,000 Promethium, 68,800 Advanced Material, 15,360 Exotic Material.
Upkeep per year: 24,400,000 Thrones, 2,440,000 Material, 1,220,000 Metal, 244,000 Promethium, 696 Advanced Material, 140 Exotic Material.
Reward: Expand Unseen University to allow it to hold up to 250,000 Psykers at a time.

Locked – Four out of Five years completed

This year the outer defences of the Unseen University approachcompletion, with only details still remaining incomplete. These defences are impressive with firepower equivalent to one of Avernus' major cities packed into a significantly smaller area which when combined with the residents makes the Unseen University more than able to fend off most attacks. During the year several more residential districts were completed, providing more than enough room for your current psykers. Primaris Xavier expects that the expansion will be finished within the next six months, four months before the time originally projected.

Research: Astropaths: Psychic Frequencies- During Headmaster Ridcully's investigation of Psychic Frequencies he wondered exactly what sort of Psychic Frequency that Astropaths have. He has a suspicion that they will have massive similarities which could provide some interesting research opportunities, and is interesting by itself.

Time: 3 years
Chance of Success: 35%(uses average of learning and control).

Cost: 6,100,000 Thrones, 61,000 Material, 610 Promethium, 860 Advanced Material, 96 Exotic Maternal
Reward: More information on the Psychic Frequencies of Astropaths.

Locked – Two out of Three years completed

After much consideration, and several experiments on Chaos Cultists, Headmaster Ridcully has determined a method to significantly change a person'sPsychic Frequency. It is possible for them to bind themselves to a greater power, which will change the psyker's Frequency to contain that of the greater power. Even more interestingly, the fact that Astropaths bound themselves to the Emperor well before he rose to being a god shows that it is possible to use beings weaker then gods, though he suspects that they still have to be far more powerful then any mortal Psyker. He will spend the next year trying to determine whether his suspicions on this matter are correct.

Coping- You are currently devastated by the death of your wife, killed by a Blink Spider while eating with you and Syr. You will have to spend a lot of time over the year trying to cope with your grief and get yourself to functional again.

Time: 1 year
Cost: free.
Reward: Chance of downgrading trait Grief Striken, can be taken multiple times

d100=93+15(Saint Lin)+5(Palace)+10(Spend Time with Family)=123: Success
Trait Grief-Stricken downgraded to Grieving (-1M, -3A, -1D, -2P,) – While you have made some progress in dealing with the death of Freya, and the helplessness you feel because of it, you still have far to go. Your grief still has a major impact on how well you functions in both day to day life and in your administrative duties.

Thanks to the support of your friends and family, and the passage of time, you have taken your first real step on the road to recovery. While you still miss Freya fiercely, and are occasionally overwhelmed by your grief you are in a far better state most of the time. This recovery has been helped greatly by the fact that Syr is also slowly drawing out of her shell and becoming more animated.

Helping Syr Cope: Times Two- Syr has been far more effected by Freya's death in front of her than even you have and will need a lot of support. You should spend as much of your time as possible with her this year trying to help her deal with the grief and loss.

Time: 1 year
Cost: free.
Reward: Chance of downgrading trait Devastated, can be taken multiple times

d100=9+15(Saint Lin)+5(Palace)+30(Twice)+11(Diplomacy)+20(previous attempt)+10(Spend Time with Family)=100: Success

Trait Devastated downgraded to Grief-Stricken - (-2M, -5A, -2D, -4P)- Syr is still grief stricken after the death of her mother, despite having made some major strides in the road to recovery. She generally moves though life in a rather depressed manner, constantly distracted by her grief and memories of Freya.

You continued to devote much of your time to trying to help Syr cope with Freya's death, with a lot more progress. Syr is now willing to at least pretend to be doing her normal activities, actually participating in class and answer questions. She still has a long way to go before she reaches anything that could be called recovered but she has come a long way.

Spend Time With Syr- Since Freya's death you are Syr's only family member on Avernus, you should make sure to regularly spend time with her. This will become less important as Syr gets older but for the moment it is vital.

Time: 1 year.
Chance of Success: Unknown

Cost: Free (can be taken multiple times)
Reward: Spend time with Syr, chance of improving your relationship, chance of boosting Syr's stats

Complete
d100=61+5(Palace)+11(Diplomacy)=77: Success +10 to both you and Syr's attempts to deal with grief

You continued to spend a lot of your time with Syr this year and your activities together have been one of the major contributors to both of you beginning to recover from Freya's death. One of the things you have discussed over the year is what she wants to do once she reaches eighteen, which she did late in the year. While Syr would like to remain at home until she recovers she is continuing to request that she join the Officers Academy in a few years time.

Also, hooray for lessening the bad traits!

Yaay, Vanahiem and Midgard are out of the storm and in good shape! :D

And that Super Exitus is NICE :o:cool:

We so need to get that to the Phase-Tigers. They're already the bastard children of a Stealth-specced Elder Scrolls Hero and a FPS protagonist, giving them fuckoff huge snipers would amp them massively. What's that Chaos Lord, you have Terminator Armor? Not any more!

Damn!!! That rifle seems like Eldar levels of Gravity bullshit!!! I truly hope that we can reverse engineer it enough that we can apply it to our normal guns. I would love for us to go Mass Effect on the enemies of Man!!! Wait, what if the Gravitic Battleships arrays are meant to create a gravity sheath around itself and a fleet in order to go FTL like an Alcuibre drive or a primitive Necron Inertialess drive?

I think they're based on Starlight from the omake I wrote. A ship wrapped around a gun, and said gun is very very big and very very nasty. If it's grav-based, that might even mean it's stronger on bigger ships. Who wants to crush a Battleship in one shot?~

I think even if we reverse engineer the super exitus it's going to remain a very niche weapon. If each riffle costs less than a malcador tank I will be very surprised.

@durin
Border Security is listed at 1 of 2 years, should be 1 of 3 years.

For the psykers you state 54 passed but only 46 passed when you add up the 1 delta, 17 epsilon and 30 zetas.

Got to get those Mass Conveyors shipping metal to Vanaheim pronto.

And... inform them of Freya's death. I assume that will be a diplomacy option. Probably ought to do that one our self.

Galena
This year Klovis-Ultan was able to arrange a meeting with the new High Chief of the Northern Trolls, High Chief Huge Galena. Huge Galena is open to the idea of a peace treaty and willing to set up a meeting early next year. Inquisitor Klovis-Ultan gets the impression that Huge Galena's position is not very secure and he wishes to use this treaty to shore up his own position, which means that he is likely to as fro more the the previous High Chief did.

What happened here?

The number of Abomination Cultists increased slightly to a hundred and ninety-five thousand per year. On average it takes eleven days to locate an outer circle cultists and five days for an inner circle cultist, exactly the same as last year.

Hmm.. noticing a slow but consistent upward tic...

@durin So will my Omake bonus be applied next turn?

Wow, so many relics that are literally impossible to understand without warp shenanigans... :(

@durin Now that the collegia reconstructs has finished the simpler stcs, will they move on to completing stc fragments that would have been in the Atlas unrestricted stc library?

So who wants to write up Freyr reacting to Freya's death? Maybe we could invite him to Avernus and get some bonuses to helping Syr grieve?

Hey guys, just rediscovered this quest. Man, things have changed. For starters, we should probably continue with the grief counseling next gear.

Hopefully an option to upgrade the Collegia will be put up soon. After all, its existence was the main reason we haven't been spending actions on having Tranth work on STCs himself.

The upward trend towards cultist-catching time is slightly worrying, but I think the border patrol might help with that, if only by making sure they can't run away.

Regarding psychic research, the info about frequencies is quite interesting. Hopefully nothing too horrible will happen.

I get the feeling this is leading to binding to Avernus itself eventually.

"Magni Transporters started to be completed, a noteworthy event as they are by far the largest military built on Avernus. " Found this when I read what happened with the magni transports.

Also, holy shit what is with our people? They seem to be growing alot..

@durin Has our military gotten better at defending Avernites from the planets wildlife better all of a sudden? Everyone seems to be on the up and up.

Supremely happy that Fredrick and Syr are doing better. Happy that Syr is a swordsmen on par with most kids her age (for an avernite at least). So should we keep training her to be skilled?

Also " few years feathering Syr more" is this correct? Not sure if this is some kind of phrase I never knew about..Not trying to be mean it fits it's just wierd.
