Military:

[X] Personal Attention: Scout Regiment: Planning
6,100,000 Thrones, 61,000 Material, 6,100 Promethium, 3,050 Advanced Material.

Diplomacy:

[X] Peace Treaty (Spiky Basalt)
6,100,000 Thrones, 305,000 Material, 6,100 Promethium, 43 Advanced Material.
[X] Sound Out (Exporting Avernite Psyker Hunters to the rest of the Imperial Trust)
144,000 Thrones

Since we are going to be ready to do this in a few more years, let's get some insight on how best to go about exporting our Psyker Hunters.

Arbites:

[X] Tutor Syr (Intrigue)

Mechanicus:

[X] Reverse Engineer Component: Advanced Void Shields
12,200,000 Thrones, 610,000 Material, 244,000 Promethium, 384 Advanced Material
-[X] Double Down: Reverse Engineer Component: Advanced Void Shields
12,200,000 Thrones, 610,000 Material, 244,000 Promethium, 384 Advanced Material
[X] Survey Ship Graveyard: Cruisers
6,100,000 Thrones, 305,000 Material, 122,000 Promethium, 192 Advanced Material

Since we have our double down available this turn (no need for it elsewhere), let's try to reverse engineer the most difficult component. Void Shields will be a 62% chance with the Double Down. Besides, it will be one of the competents we could replace on our defense monitors.

Ministorum:

[X] Tutoring (Syr)

Changed to Tutoring Syr. Higher Piety means we can get tutoring in Diplomacy and Learning.

Telepathica:

[X] Build New Scholastia Psykana: Lindon
244,000,000 Thrones, 24,400,000 Material, 12,200,000 Metal, 2,440,000 Promethium, 3,440 Advanced Material, 384 Exotic Material.
-[X] Expedite: Build New Scholastia Psykana: Lindon
244,000,000 Thrones, 24,400,000 Material, 12,200,000 Metal, 2,440,000 Promethium, 3,440 Advanced Material, 384 Exotic Material.

Personal:

[X] Chain of Command
[X] Spend Time With Family
[X] Whispers of Change (Safely Shutdown Xenos Technology)
-[X] On Fjol IV things would have gone a lot better if the Mechanicus could shutdown Xenos technology safely. Who else could be trusted to deal with such a dangerous responsibility?

I want to do this Whispers of Change before we forget about it.

This really burned us last time. Durin said this was possible, so let's do it.

First, I'll point out this is a less efficient route to getting either type of escort in a repairable condition. Turn 64 is when our shipyards open up again, and all of these reverse engineering actions for these components take two years each. The Advanced Automation and Plasma Reactors are needed for either ship type, but the Escort Destroyer needs only those two. Doing one of those components this turn and the other the next means we should be able to start repairing Escort Destroyers on Turn 64.

I think this is what we should do with Tranth's actions over the next few turns:
T61
- Advanced Automation, DD (1/2)
- Cruiser Survey (1/1)

T62
- Advanced Automation, DD (2/2)
- Reactors, DD (1/2)

T63
- Reactors, DD (2/2)
- ADC Survey (1/1)

T64
- Advanced Void Shields, DD (1/2)
- Haywire Weapons (1/1)*

T65
- Advanced Void Shields, DD (2/2)
- Hunter Lance, DD (1/2)

*Could be some other archeotech, but these are probably not something we want to wait too long on and they are easy to complete. You never know when the Necrons will show up, and they're useful against vehicles in general.

With that we could get the Hunters into production on year 67, provided we don't fail the research. After that stop repairing Escort Destroyers for a bit and only do Hunters for a few years. (though continue dedicating some yard space to ADCs) On the other hand, doing the Void Shields first means we have to wait until at least year 66 to produce any Escorts of either type, depending on what is researched next.

Also, it shouldn't be presumed that we'll be able to place the Advanced Void Shields onto the Defence Monitors. We can't replace their plasma reactors, and the version we need to research may be needed to provide sufficient power the Advanced Void Shields. (and durin may not have new technologies we reverse engineer during them being refit allowed to be put in - he didn't have the Heavy Cruiser we were refitting use the armor for the Well of Urd's Armor STC, after all) It's also curious why the Escort Destroyer doesn't have the Advanced Void Shields - I'd guess they're more expensive.

If we fail Advanced Automation or Reactors we wouldn't be able to get back on track for turn 64 anyway.

True, but the chances of failure on those are very low, especially with a double down - just 8% for automation, and 1% for the Plasma Reactors. Ridcully's reroll also comes into play, which lowers the failure chances even more.

Regardless, I still think it's preferable to go for the route that gets us repairing some of the escorts sooner rather than later, and starting with the shared components is that route.

[X] Enjou

Tranth is the only thing that we can DD on that's worthwhile, and we may get a crit on it. Automation is also the one that we can apply to our Monitors for sure. The argument about seeing if we can find some ADC's is well founded. Which Hunters are the only option worth Expediting. The Personal Attention lets us use Fred's Martial, which pushes the chance into certainty. I have no particular preference as to the other picks, other than a vague preference that we square away our Troll problems before we start looking outward.

Oh I agree with delaying the research a turn. If research fails then we're probably behind schedule either way and this lets us investigate another option in case its clearly better than the currently offered ones.

There is a single problem with your timetable, and in fact you asked durin about it:
EDIT - Also, are there any additional steps after reverse engineering the components that Tranth needs to do to get a ship ready?
With answer being
yes there are, he will have to spend some time (probably 2 years) finalizing the design
So, we need to research all components first, then spend two more years to put a design together. Going by this, if we focus on getting something out ASAP, we'll be able to start repairing Escort Destroyers during T65, ADC in T67 and Hunter Frigates during T69:

T61
Advanced Automation (1/2)
Plasma Reactor (1/2)

T62
Advanced Automation (2/2)
Plasma Reactor (2/2)

T63
Escort Destroyer (1/2)
Advanced Void Shields (1/2)

T64
Escort Destroyer (2/2)
Advanced Void Shields (2/2)

T65
Hunter Lance (1/2)
Cruiser Survey (1/1)

T66
Hunter Lance (2/2)
ADC Survey (1/1)

T67
Hunter Frigate (1/2)
???

T68
Hunter Frigate (2/2)
???

Somewhat more balanced approach would be researching all components then both designs together, which will make both available in T67, but that would make push ADC back to T69 instead.

@durin, I'm still seeing a trade imbalance with Promethium and Exotic Material. I'm missing 50 million and 400 respectively. About 6.5% and 3% of the Trust's current allup production. 12.2% and 3.7% post consumption and Tithing. With a half decent distribution, that would cover the Throne shortfalls of Jotunheim, Svartalheim, and Musphelheim.

Wait, did you include the Trust's own trade arrangements? I'm not seeing anything posted on their datasheet.

@Enjou how large is the ancient defense cruiser? Cause I wanna do another thing like I did for the Escorts, this time with a better focus on what is possible and anti machine, and I wanted to know if it was big enough for Vehicles to be carried on it?

Hmmm... durin must have edited the answer after I read it, because I didn't see that this morning. Anyways, with my current plan we can get some ADCs in the oven on Turn 64, rather than having nothing working. We can repair a few for a couple years and then focus on escorts entirely until we've got another ship class ready.

@durin - How long would it likely take to repair a single mostly intact Ancient Defence Cruiser?

Which is why we should do the Void Shields. Get the hardest one done when there is a double down available.

Double Downs are available every year, though, and doing the mutual components first means we can start producing Escort Destroyers earlier.

The Ancient Defense Cruiser is cruiser sized. I'm not sure of the exact length, but the cruiser sized ships in the Graveyard are three to five kilometers in length. Given how many weapons an Ancient Defense Cruiser has (it has the firepower of a Heavy Cruiser, which is two ship classes up in terms of that) I would guess on the longer end.

We should focus on the ones that were meant for up-close brawling. Those will have the most infantry-scale weapons on them, as they would be the most likely to be boarded.

Right any idea for what might be on it. I've made a list of things, but opinions would be appreciated.

Eradication Beamer
Transonic Weapons
More specifically that ones sonic could hit them even if it doesn't penetrate
Arc Weapons
Neutron Laser
Mindscrambler Grenades
Not quite the same thing as they wouldn't have access to that squid, but something developed from Avernite wild life would do.

All of these are canon examples of weapons used by the Modern day Admech's Skitari albit only those from ancient forge worlds, and have utility against the AI, though chances are we wont get the eradiction beamer

also does anyone have any opinions on what the XV bellum ravager and the Thermae missile suit are? They're also canon tech, but the Admech could never complete them because they were too complex, though we probably could.

GW only created them as throw away fluff pieces. Odds are they don't have any actual details to them.
