We already know that the postcog stuff doesn't work on Avernus. We can only use it on the relics from space

Specifically for things that we -found- in space. the STC Constructor was on Avernus, and therefore isn't a valid target for Cheating. Alas. T_T

The problem is the fact that Avernus fucks with Postcognition, and if something was within its influence at the time that you're trying to look at, it'll get screwed over. The Constructor was on Avernus for most of its time here, so taking it to space won't clear the warpfuckery that obscured its past.

Isn't the Emperor going to come back in a thousand years?
Its all rather subjective at this point. Lets put it at 1000 minimum and times that by 3 cause this is Grim Derp.

MMM I know. Well we may find another one then do that.

Yes. That's why I wrote from space not in space.

I wonder what would happen if we got 10,000 precog psykers into a choir directed by Ridcully...

I mean that could do some really big stuff.

A choir that big would probably be hard to manage - even so, we can theoretically do some pretty awesome stuff. For example, one thing durin confirmed we can do is put Ridcully and Xavier in a two man choir and use the Divination to allow Gerald to summon large amounts of warp-fire at a distance. (or just control a lot of fire) And now we have another Beta with Gerald's specialties, so we could probably do even more.

I'm thinking the process is...

Fire Deathstrikes -> Psykers Control Plasma Fire -> Enemy Army/Base/Etc. burned to a crisp like Manavik.

and then there's the issue or organizing them and making sure we don't get any head banger.

Still a choir of 1000 even minor psykers would be able to do some really impressive things.

Given Avernus's number of Major psykers a choire of 1000 major psykers isn't to bad an idea.

We could defiantly learn a lot about both the past and the future with that...

Idea.

@durin, if we got a massive choire of deviner psykers headed by Ridcully and used it on say that broken STC constructor, presuming of course it is off the surface... we can do that right?

Anyway, could we figure out how the thing was built that way :D.

Its not that bad an idea after all postcog is apparently easier than pre and that many psykers... especially by that point we would have done the psychic frequencies research and other stuff :D.

Also great omake @3man75

As mentioned, long term postcognition doesn't work on Avernus itself. It's likely a security measure by the Old Ones to keep people from snooping.

@durin, is it early enough in the refit process to possibly include reactor refits for the Def Monitors?
We couldn't refit the armor when we found it to the ships we were doing then so probably no.

The two systems we can't refit are reactors and engines, presumably because trying to do so would mean taking the ship apart to the point that you might as well be building a new one.

"Thank you, Governor," said Deacon Lin. "The Emperor did reveal more than I have yet spoken of. When the Emperor dies, a portal to the Warp in his Throne-room which he has long kept closed will open, releasing a tide of daemons that will overwhelm both Terra and Mars, and the shackles that the Emperor keeps on on a great Abomination will be broken. The Abomination is a twisted, Chaotic mirror of the Emperor and will claim to be the Emperor reborn; we must not believe it. While the Emperor will be reborn in time, millennia will pass before he once more strides the Galaxy. I have been given this vision so that we may protect this small corner of the Imperium from the storm that approaches. We have been chosen as one of the few parts of the Imperium that the Emperor is warning and we must prove ourselves worthy of this honour."
According to Saint Lin the Emperor will be born after millennia, which if taken literally means that the Emperor will be reborn in a thousand years or so. Given the temporal fluctuations and general insanity of the Warp though, who knows?

Thats a really good point. We're already like 200 years into our 1000 year wait. Depending how long the warp storm lasts we might have the Emperor back.

Yep, we'll be playing as Syr's kid by the time the Emperor returns.
Lets just take 1000 years minimum, personally I think that the speech as it was intended to be, was an embellishment. We have no idea, heck I doubt the emp knows after all he seemed unsure as to the cause of his own death/ascendance.

I just want to get the heltroopers to +400 skill and to find an intact STC, as well as other cool hygienics, the empy can wait for now.

So you want all of our guardsmen to become better than our current Helguard, have the Helguard become the current Governor's Own level, and have the Governor's Own become a regiment of Primarch grade badasses? I support this motion.

Backed up by the greatest weapons of the dark age of technology with at least 1000 stable Zeta level psykers per regiment cummon people WE CAN DO THIS :D:D:D:D:D

Speaking of our skill ratings...

@durin - I don't see the full benefits from these actions added to the military sheet:

Lessons Learned: Orks (Turn 50)
+5 to all rolls against Orks forces and +3 to combat rolls.
Lessons Learned: Dark Eldar (Turn 54, Critical success)
+5 to all rolls against harassment +3 to combat rolls and +5 to harassment rolls

The +5 against Orks and Dark Eldar aren't there for sure.
I can't tell if the +6 to combat rolls in general were added or not, as they would be in one of the more general categories. Confirmation of which category that's in and how that's broken down would be nice.
I do see the +5 to harassment rolls, unless we got a previous +5 that I don't know about.

Another thing is that I don't think the Juvenat bonus has increased for a while, and I know that's supposed to max out at +100 from what you've told us. It would be understandable if our losses at Fjol have delayed that increasing, though.

I just want to get the heltroopers to +400 skill

Now, regarding getting the Helltroopers to +400, that would be rather difficult. If they max out the Juvenat bonus, they'll get to +356. Situationally that can be increased - against Chaos, while fighting in greater than 20 regiments, and while in a siege (either defending or attacking) they could get to +381. To get to 400 would probably require finding some more mass deployable equipment on the level of the HUD helmets that already give a +15 to skill, which seems rather unlikely. A sufficient increase to the militia bonus might also do it, but I'm not sure what would be needed to further increase that too much, considering that our militia is already the level of freaking Stormtroopers.

On the other hand, the Helguard would have +396 once they max out their juvenat bonus. In the same situation where they max out their bonuses, they would be at +421. So, getting them to over +400 is quite doable.

Should be much easier once we equip everyone with power armor.

And that's not even factoring later pieces of tech and if education gives a boni AND Avernus doing survival of the fittest over the centuries, as @durin said that would start happening eventually... HEHEHHEHEHEHEHHEHEHEHEHE. We will have natural super soldiers
