[X] Night- Concentrate fire on one target.- This will allow your artillery to have a major impact on the selected target at the expense of have no effect on the other targets.
[X] Night- Target the artillery- This will reduce the amount of damage that the Dark Eldar artillery can do over time but will cause less damage then some of the other targets due to the fact that the artillery is most likely well fortified against return fire. This option would be best if you are planning to take your time and turn the fight into an extended siege.

I'll just copy paste Elder Haman's.

[X] Day- Split fire between two targets.- This will allow your artillery to target multiple areas while still having a significant impact.

[X] Day- Targets designated by ground forces.- This will allow the artillery to provide a major advantage to your forces in the city and would be a major advantage for them. This option would be best if you are not reinforcing your currant vanguard by much or are pushing the attack tonight.

[X]Do Not Fire any Deathstrikes- Save them for use on future targets

[X] Write In: During the day (assuming the Eldar airforce continues to not be active) use AA to target the city in general.- Firing into the city with an aim to ruin as much of it as possible would most likely kill a decent number of slave-soldiers and some Dark Eldar as well as reducing the benefit of the Dark Eldar's knowledge of the city. This option would be best if you are planning to take the entire outer ring before attacking the inner ring.

@Enjou since we're so close to completely wiping out the Dark Eldar artillery, and it's likely that we're going to have our fortifications assaulted by the Dark Eldar, have you considered splitting some of our artillery off during the day to hit those targets? It should easy our infantry casualties, and might catch the Dark Eldar on the wrong foot, since their likely expecting us to continue focusing down on their artillery. We may catch a lot of them on the ground before they can inflect serious harm.

Durin previously has stated he'll change our targets if we wipe out the target in question. If we manage to wipe out all the DE Macrocannons at night, he'll switch to targeting something else, with the next most popular target in the vote being likely. Barring that I assume he'll do what he thinks is the smartest.

So what is our long term strategy here? First kill the DE Macrocannons obviously, but after? From what is being put forward it looks like we are going for fortifying our zone of control for a few days as we level the outer city. What next?

Here is my proposal. After a few days of bombardment we finish taking the outer walls. Once we do that hunt down the tunnel exits both near and outside the walls and seal all them off but a select few that lead to prepared kill boxes for those Dark Eldar who try to escape. When we go for the Inter wall I would like to target the direct fire weapons mounted on the inner walls with the artillery as the Siege Infantry Brigades dig a three prong siege lines and tunnels to the walls. Plant a few Deathstrike warheads or just a load of artillery under the walls and blow them as the start of our assault. When we breach the inter walls how do we want to attack? We can have a even split of our forces along all three prongs or make each one have a different composition. I'm for having the three prongs being different. Have the Iron Guard Regiments lead by Black Irons attack on one side, the Helltroopers lead by the Helguard on another, and our PDF Regiments lead by the Governor's Own hit the third. What should we do with our Specialist Regiments? I want to use them to either hold the tunnel exits we prepared or attach the to the smallest force the Helltroopers. The Bane Wolf Regiments for example would be great at sitting on the exits but a bad choice in close city fighting with our own troops in the area.

durin, if we spent the time is it possible to hunt down most of the escape tunnels and block them before we hit the inter walls?

This.

Also jeez either the DE warriors got a lucky roll (I'm personally having a hard time reading the dice rolls. If someone could explain to me whats going on that would be great.) or we may need to divide fire in the day to hit the city a bit.

You can try, however you have no clue where they come out so will have trouble finding them without sending troops down into them

Not a problem. 2 questions. How big are the tunnels? I mean it could be anywhere from room for one man at a time to can fit a small Titan for all I know. What Type of troops would be best to clear/scout them? Slowly, we're in no rush now.

some are larger but most of them can only fit infantry being around two point five meters tall and between one and five meters wide. A mix of light and heavy infantry would be best for clearing them though I warn that you will lose a lot of men trying, they are designed to provide every possible advantage to the Dark Eldar as well as being heavily trapped

What can we do to tip a tunnel fight to our advantage? I mean in the larger tunnels we can probable use Sentinel Regiments which should be murder on infantry and able to tank a few traps depending on what type we have. If we toss the Combat Engineer Regiments in the mix they should have demo charges and what not to clear traps. If the space fight is done we can grab the Diviner Choir to fine the outside tunnels. Did we deploy the Telekinesis Choir or are the still on the ships? durin can you add were the Choirs are right now because I can't remember to save my life.

the Diviner and Telekinesis Choirs are still in space
you could use Sentinels in the larger tunnels and combat engineer regiments but even with their aid you would suffer heavy losses due to fighting the Dark Eldar in their own ground

Guys, the notion of going into the tunnels is not a smart one - it's trapped and the DE have every advantage. We'd lose a lot of guys for very little actual gain. We do not have to do anything fancy to win this. Destroy the Macrocannons first as we're already planning to do, and then we can start shelling the crap out of them from our fortified positions. Even if they retreat from the city, they have nowhere to go in the long term. By the time they reach the nearest fortress it will already be under siege or even outright destroyed by the Imperial Trust Guard, who have the modular fortresses to keep them safe. The planet is only newly terraformed, so there isn't going to be much in the way of natural plantlife or animals which they could eat quite yet, so they'll starve even if they manage to hide from the orbital bombardment.

Not to mention that we have more armour regiments than we do infantry regiments...at least Midgardian ones.

you don't have enough on hand
What about chemical gas? The Dark Eldar aren't famous for wearing a lot of protective clothing.

Also jeez either the DE warriors got a lucky roll (I'm personally having a hard time reading the dice rolls. If someone could explain to me whats going on that would be great.) or we may need to divide fire in the day to hit the city a bit.
On the first roll, the Dark Eldar harassed our men during the night. Our men were defending behind fortifications. We lost 141.9 regiments of infantry, the enemy lost 95 regiments of Dark Eldar.

On the second roll, our artillery kept shooting at their artillery. We killed most of their artillery but they killed 210 regiments of our own. Of those regiments, only 64 of them were infantry. The rest of the regiments the enemy artillery killed were of armour (tanks and stuff), AA, and artillery.

On the third roll, our Midgardian infantry continued to take territory in the city. The slave soldiers of the enemy killed 39 regiments of infantry and 39 regiments of armour. In return, our Midgardians killed 2,160 regiments of slave soldiers. Our forces only managed to kill 14 regiments of Dark Eldar while the Dark Eldar slaughtered 468 of our infantry regiments.

On the fourth and final roll, our artillery kept duking it out with the enemy's artillery. Our artillery finished off the rest of the enemy's normal artillery and killed four of their macrocannons - giant guns that can be used to hit ground units (us) and spaceships in orbit. During that time, the enemy artillery and macrocannons killed 29 units of infantry and 49 regiments of assorted armour, AA, and artillery.
-----
I hoped that helped. Basically, attacking the enemy with our infantry is only good for getting them killed by Dark Eldar harassment. Destroying their artillery and staying purely on the defensive is the best way to win.

Battle, The Engineers Playground
OMAKE: Battle, The Engineers Playground
Sargent Romak of the 14th Avernite Combat Engineer Regiment carefully adjusted his mirror as he peaked around the corner of a shattered Slave hab block. Taking a quick glance behind him as the Iron Guard Armour Regiment his unit was attached to readied their Leman Russ Exterminator, lucky bastards he had even heard that they had a Wyvern Suppression Tank running around somewhere, he tipped the mirror some more as he followed the hair thin wire he had seen. If he was right then just, about, There. Well hidden in the shadows buried under rubble was a modified artillery shell for a gun that no longer existed. When they rounded the corner to assault the Slave held rubble barricade up the street, boom. But something felt off. It was too simple. The Dark Eldar had a artistry to their traps that wasn't present here. Gesturing to the marksman he took the scoop off his rifle to take a closer look at the building across the street. Once 17 stories tall it had been reduced to 9 with the wall facing the street the only part still standing. If he was a Dark Eldar tiring to add some flair to his trap what better place to add some demo charges to? Yes, there she was. Half kilo charges planted on the second floor window frames with what looked to be a remote detonator up-link. After the first trap they would have had to fight their way down the street and be on the look out for more ground level trap. Once they were far enough in the Dark Eldar would just flick a switch and drop the whole building down on the assault force. Clever. Unfortunately for the Dark Eldar too clever. Smiling he slinked back to talk with the Iron Guard Captain.

They waited. Deep in the Tunnels they waited by secret doors and hidden manhole covers ready to spring out and play with the foolish humans that dared to attack their city. Many of their kind had died in recent weeks fighting this force but that just showed the dead's weakness not that this prey was worthy. They listen to the sounds of battle overhead as the prey fought their Slaves, waiting for just the right time to spring their trap. Perking up they could just barely hear to soft cracks of the demo charges followed by the roar of the rubble avalanche falling down on those who had the misfortune to be their toys on this day. Shivering in delight as he imagined the broken bodies, the crushed assault vehicles, the glorious look of despair on the survivors faces as his blades drank deep of their blood, the warrior at the head of his tunnel threw back the covering ready to leap into their mist and bath in the blood of his slaughter. As the heavy steel door came open how ever he immediately knew something was wrong. Maybe it was the lack of smoke and rubble from where the building was suppose to fall. Maybe it was the human heavy weapons team set up in a make shift pile box pointed at his door. Most likely however it was the Leman Russ shell mounted on the wall beside his door wired to the door handle.

Sargent Romak grinned into his drink from his set on the corpse of the Dark Eldar spotter as dozens of explosions rang out as the ambushers had in turn been ambushed. After tracking down and killing the detonator team his men had snuck into the building and rearranged the demo charges to drop the wall in the other direction as the Iron Guard overran Slaves barricade. Once they had been wiped out they had then hunted down the tunnels in the area and trapped them themselves. One controlled demolition later had seen the Dark Eldar walk right into prepared kill boxes. Savoring the taste of his Asgard single malt scotch he commented to the Captain "By the Emperor, I love my job."

Edit: Fixed some typos I missed.

@durin How many cities are their again? An if you could remind me what the other two armies are doing? (I remember something like 3 armies being sent).

A map was posted with text specifying the landing zones; you can check it.

The Timeless army group with our superheavies and power armour is attacking Morrannon the easternmost fort, and then onto the city and mystery location. The Guard is attacking the other fort.
