Am currently watching PR: The Black, and holy shit guys you need to watch this. It's basically Atlas Destroyer vs The World, and it's great.
TBH I never expected it to be that good. I was expecting a kaiju of the week show, not an actual story with character development and actual plot.

Cobbled together some art I found for various Jaegers and proposed Jaegers.

Yes, I like Seeker Archangel.

Imgur doesn't work for me; I have no idea why.

Hey @Fyrstorm I'm having trouble find it on the city sheet but what's the maximum category Kaiju we can hold in our kaiju containment zone I think it's Cat 2 but we can upgrade that to be able to hold 3s right?
Yes, Cat 2 is our current limit for what kind of kaiju we can restrain.

Still...Votes were closed, dice were rolled nearly two weeks ago for a fairly simple plan...Hope Fyr's doing alright...Think the Thread 4 Tacit Ronin VS the World Balance Changes and updates are kicking his ass?

First off, my apologies for the seven month long wait. I was… well, to be honest, I was busy with a bunch of other things, and TRvTW had kinda slid down the priority list for me. Regardless, thanks to said other things wrapping up and some other motivating factors, I have returned from the dead hiatus to provide you all with further giant robot goodness!

[X] Plan Grapple
-[X] Tacit Ronin breaks down the wall segment
-[X] Phenom Sable charges Tara through the hole in the inner wall, using the Solid-Fuel Thrusters
--[X] Grapple Tara
-[X] Jagdhund moves to two spaces away from the hole in the wall, and deploys her Garneles
--[X] Also put away the Dolch Gewehr
--[X] If possible, both Garneles move through the hole in the wall and as far from Tara as they can get
--[X] Revolver Shogun runs through the hole and to the east until RS is along the inner wall across from the north hall entrance
With a guttural crack and crunch, Tacit Ronin's blades punch through the wall and tear it down, resin splintering apart. Tara bellows, her legs tensing for a charge-- before a distinctly not-Tacit horn blares out from behind the white jaeger. Tacit Ronin ducks to the side, giving Tara just a split second to react as Phenom Sable leaps through the gap, arms outstretched in a flying tackle! The pair stagger back as they wrestle for control, giving the remaining jaegers the space needed to make their moves. Revolver Shogun hurriedly dashes through, accompanied by the squat, crustaceal shapes of Jagdhund's Garneles.

Grapple rolls, I guess? Prog vice included.

As Tara and Phenom clash, the second Kaiju finally makes its reappearance. With a wet squelch, Clawface rises from the top of the Monument, stringy filaments sliding off its body as it rises to its full height. Its tuning fork head swings down, yellow light crackling along the tines as it stares at the assembled jaegers below. Beneath its feet, a winding ring of yellow light flows up between the Monument's scales, as a melodic warble echoes from the creature's gills.

Protectorate:
- Jaegers:
-- Tacit Ronin adjacent to the inner wall's new hole.
-- Phenom is grapplin' Tara.
-- Jagdhund is 2 spaces from the hole in the wall.
-- Garneles Alpha and Bravo are next to Revolver (see below).
-- Revolver Shogun is within the inner perimeter, directly opposite the northern entrance (3 spaces)
- Crunchies and Superheavies are busy, except for:
-- 2 Drakons still armed, carrying 2 Sunfire bombs. They're in quantum superposition, and will appear when and where you need them to do a thing.

Anteverse/Kaiju Fortress:
- Kaiju:
-- Clawface is atop the fortress, 5 units up, roughly 12 units horizontal from the northern Hall's entrance (right in the middle of the Monument, so 2 units from the edge).
-- Tara is behind the Inner Perimeter, grappling with Phenom Sable.
- Base Defenses are busy.
- Monument may be doing something weird.

...yeah, not a super eventful round, in terms of dice rolls. Still, it's something. At this point, I'm gonna drop the map and go back to more abstracted positioning, for the sake of getting stuff done faster. It was a neat experiment, but with the removal of the crunchies and emplacements from play, and the more close-quarters nature of the fight, I feel like it'll work for now.

Also, when this fight inevitably finishes, I'm afraid I'll likely need extra time to finalize the rules update and stuff.

Sorta-edit: also, you might notice some of your stuff in the various documents looks kinda odd. I'm still in the middle of converting things over to the new versions and rules. Shouldn't really affect anything for this fight, though.

It seems clear to me that the monument is going to boost a ranged attack or ability for Clawface. Clawface should now be our top priority target, we want to interfere with whatever it is doing.

@Fyrstorm how wide of a perch is Clawface on?

I'm pretty sure Phenom nominally grapples at +15, not +8. Might actually be higher, given how stupid good he is at that, or I might be mixing up when the bonuses start applying. Regardless, I'm gonna go with the +15 for this initial one, which means...

Phenom Sable wins the Grapple! 4 Advantage Points!
No Damage from Progressive Vice!

Tara plants her feet firm into the ground, blue lights twisting through the corrupted soil as she gives it her all. However, in spite of the size disparity, Phenom's still the superior grappler, and, forcing the Category III back with a swift jab to the gut, manages to get through the monster's guard! The black jaeger's talons squeal and clatter uselessly off the kaiju's thick armour, but the Uemuras have opened up a large enough gap in their opponent's defenses for a single, swift move!

Distances are still the same as they were in my last post, but I'm gonna repeat them anyway, because why not.

While "attack" almost always translates to use of a specific weapon for a jaeger (Fangblades for Tacit, Talons for Phenom), I still appreciate clarification on what you're planning to use, for convenience's sake.

Oh yeah, there's also the two point option to open them to an attack from someone else, if we want Tacit to get stabby.
