@AntaeusTheGiant Bob could probably be moved into another container, honestly. His true form is a spirit of pure knowledge with the skull acting like a hermit crab's shell. It's canon to the books that Dresden sometimes lets Bob inhabit his body so the spirit can experience physical sensations as a kind of reward.

Also, part of the reason mental manipulation is forbidden in the Dresden-verse is because it alters the mind of the user as well as the afflicted in unintended ways; most of the time at least. People who alter the minds of others tend to get used to altering minds, becoming more and more inclined to resort to it as a solution regardless of how appropriate it is.

I do have to admit, even though it likely won't win I too think the Rose from PvZ is a good pick. Turn your enemies into goats.

That literally describes Starro and his whole species to a tee.

Of course, in the Dresdenverse, the very natural laws of that setting state that altering minds will corrupt you, same as trying to resurrect someone will. Sort of like in Star Wars, Force-wielders become corrupt if they are passionate about things. Natural laws that forcibly alter behavior are not among my favorite literary conventions...

*gets excited* Wonder how Legion will be received? Dragon? Wonder if Legion get his place as an honor to his sacrifice?

That's a very nice companion. It's been a while since I played ME but it's one of my favorite characters. I need to see how I will handle him but I'm looking forward to it. And I need to check the level-up system of ME, I don't remember how it works.

@zagan I'm sorry if this is already in the Menagerie and I've just missed it, I did look but can't see it, but would Winston from Overwatch be a valid option and if so how much would he cost?
Not Bastion is the only Overwatch character in the CM. If an Overwatch bonus category is ever created It would be 300 for Watson.

When was this established and why?
When: Just now.
Why: Because I'm uncomfortable with that setting.

because what everyone, not just this quest, needs is more big friendly dogs. It's hard to get bigger or friendlier than Clifford.
Certainly but housing him might be tricky if we do not want to confine him to the Orb.

Hmmm. I find it interting that for a Menagerie Quest, when given the opportunity for permanent companions we chose robots each time....
Two out of three is too small a sample to establish a trend but it is interesting. I think that one of the appeals is that robots do not need to eat so it alleviates one of the "drawbacks" of having a creature as a Companion.

Good to know. But I think the question is more that we saw the result of the veto without you coming into the thread to issue the veto that was surprising. I was looking for your statement and couldn't find it. Could only assume it was a PM.

Can't wait to see Legion join!

No it's right there in the subvote post:

Obviously, you can only choose a normal creature as a Companion, not a Modifier (Half-Fey), not a Category Power (Animagus), not an Invocation (Carbuncle), and so on. I also put a veto on some Categories that you cannot choose from. Namely: JoJo's Bizarre Adventure, All Tomorrows, Steven Universe,

I have no lore knowledge of ME so I'm just gonna say the robot looks cool and be very thankful for another inventor bro to help ramp up production.

We should get all our robots together with the tinkers and make some cool shit, add in Dauntless for esoteric experimentation.

Would his powers work on a robot even if it's technically alive?

He's a Infiltrator not a robotist. If he was that huge hole in his torso would've been fixed.

Sure, his Shard would certainly love to analyze a robot of unknown origin. But Dauntless wouldn't do it, the limited nature of his charge mean that he's not willing to spread himself too thin.

So best to cap it out at supernatural metals then, I can already imagine what he'll do with more later, good to know that.

I mean, all Geth have the knowledge of all other Geth. Legion probably just doesn't fix the hole because it doesn't impair him and isn't actually a problem so it would be inefficient to waste resources on it.
I could see that can't hit his center of mass of his center has a gaping hole in it.
But in his search for Shepard he wasn't connected to all other Geth though. And here he'll be the only Geth.

True but I imagine that any complete Geth platform at least knows enough about themselves to replicate things if necessary. Especially since Legion does have access to at least some robotics in the form of his drone.

But that's not actually a robot though? Some kind of hardlight thing. Never been clarified on what those things actually are.

I hadn't considered that.
I'll say no, they're too short-lived to be interesting. And they're already a part of a partner.
If Legion makes one for Compendium, they can be more intelligent and long lived like Liara's own heavy modded drone for secretarial work named Glyph, would that one count? Can Eezo and Omni-Tools be material extracted from Legion?

Edit: ah finally finished! I had to put aside reading this since before their second to last date. But I was able to binge this the last 2 days.

If we ever go to the Mass Effect universe yes a drone similar to glyph could be acquired.

Can Eezo and Omni-Tools be material extracted from Legion?
Nope. Because Legion is a Companion they're permanently summoned. Material Extraction cannot be used on Companion.

Glad to know that you've caught up.
