Also, I wonder if Alex is making the mistake of thinking his therapist has all the answers. Because based on my own experiences in talk therapy that is not the case. The discussion between therapist and client is meant to facilitate the client's awareness of issues and determine methods to manage them. Ultimately a therapist can only at most guide a client based on their own knowledge and experience which may not align to that of the patient. Some of my greatest breakthroughs came from self-reflection and actively opposed the personal preferences of my doctor. Here it almost sounds like Alex thinks he has to do whatever Dr. Yamada says, which seems rather in character honestly. Not that she is wrong in the case of Alex needing a life outside heroics, per se, it is more the way he latched onto her words and a few other details. I don't really feel up to posting a longer analysis right now, but at some point I would like to examine Dr. Yamada's character.

Been thinking about Dimensional travel more and thought some funnt options.
Since we appear next to the same creature from which we are traveling to... If we choose Seer from rwby, would we just appear next to salem while she is in the middle of a call or Leon guy? It would be very funny just popping next to Salem.
What about that DMC arm? Where would we pop up then? Nero? Vergil?
And lastly @zagan I got a question, what if we use the ability with a normal earth animal? Would he be transported to a normal earth with no parahumans? Or just teleport to the animal but stay on his earth?

Trying to get the ability to keep Nimue summoned independently and thus able to challenge and grow off of delver teams we aren't specifically managing in under a week instead of multiple months. She'll grow much faster when she isn't limited to only advancing when Compendium can spare the time to personally set up a team to do a run.

It is not a bad idea to prioritize travel to Dungeon World. The more time and strength Alex builds the slower and harder it is for him to level. Thus visiting a more established Dungeon first would be most efficient albeit potentially risky. This also assumes the natives will not cause issues with the weird foreigner.
Other worlds I would suggest include Terraria, Pokemon, Minecraft, and Slime Rancher. Without Creature Acqusition Alex cannot gain new Partners from these places but he can gather resources unaffected by the Menagerie's rules. For instance, berries he picks in Pokemon ought to still have their seeds. An oran berry patch is nothing for a PRT department to sneeze at.

I like the reasoning however I want to point out that even if "weak" creatures wouldn't increase Alex's firepower he could still gain a lot of benefits from them.
He could feed them to Nimue so she can use them as Minion.
He can give them via Grant Summoning to make more heroes.
He can gain access to weak but unique effects, the Monster Book of Monsters is a good example.
He can use them as fooders to use Material Extraction more often via substitute summoning.
He could gain access to more favorable partners to use Dimensional Travel on. After all even if already have a creature for a given setting the place where that creature lives may not be very practical for someone to suddenly appear.
I haven't decided yet. Considering that the entries are written from the perspective of normal people who supposedly interact with the creature perhaps nothing he doesn't already know. At this point in time Alex knows more than Cauldron about Shards and maybe even about Entities apart from a few details.
No risk there I don't know enough about it to include it in the options.

Both are possible yes. As I mentioned to @sonicyoash above it may not be wise to use some creature as an anchor for Dimensional Travel if only because appearing suddenly right next to the BBEG may not be the smartest idea.
That's a question that I hoped nobody would ask. But okay.
First, no Alex wouldn't remain on Earth Bet, any version of Earth Bet. It wouldn't be Earth Aleph, or Earth Shin either, nothing linked to Worm.
Second, yes it could be a perfectly normal Earth like ours in the Year 2011. Or it could be an Earth from a setting that includes a normal Earth. The only limitation is that it can't be a setting that could be available through any creature of the CM.
So using an Eastern Mole as an anchor Alex could find himself in 19th-century England and cross paths with Sherlock Holmes. But using the same Mole he couldn't find himself in Jack O'neill's backyard. Because even though Mole exists in the Stargate verse to go there Alex would need a Symbiote or a Replicator because both are in the CM.
Of course, I wouldn't tell you where Alex would end up.
I almost included an example about Frillish because the Pokedex entries aren't great but upon rereading them they weren't that bad. And I couldn't think of a good example off the top of my head and I wanted to get the chapter out so I didn't have time to do more research.
If anyone has good ideas for plausible false information about any creature that Alex possesses I'm all ears.

Random Summoning cannot be used with other summoning powers. Otherwise, I would have used Weapon or Amor Summoning for a similar effect. I'm sorry if I didn't make that clear earlier.

Whenever someone says 'As Everybody knows' you know you are about to hear a bunch of crap and it's anyone's guess if they heard this or if they are just making shit up. Like basilisks requiring a mirror to kill or in the first book a guy thinks he can kill Geralt because as everyone knows this special stone needs creatures like him. That would be kinda messed up considering the relation ship he has with Taylor. Poor guy would be traumatized with her fate.
Also what year did Worm come out? Idk myself but it say we are transported to a version of earth in 2011.
It WOULD be a great chance at getting info if worm is a thing there, but if not then we could still get more info on other settings, which could help him get a better idea of those world and decide which one he should visit first.
So going to a normal earth first sounds like a good first option to use world visit on.
Also the cultire shock would be interesting to see from a perspective of someone who grew up on Earth bet to find themselves in a world where parahumans just arent a thing.

Those are not bad examples, but they don't apply to the creature Alex currently has.
Some of them yes. But Alex isn't an SI he wouldn't know about it so he wouldn't go looking for it. And there's little chance he would stumble upon it randomly, even with his Personal AI. He would be far too busy searching for anything that could help in his fight against the Endbringers (or against Scion if he became of aware of it by this point).
The hardest part of going on a normal earth, particularly on a first jump, would be for Alex to justify it. If he wants to go to Harry Potter, it could be justified as learning their brand of magic. What's there to find on a normal earth?
