The infinity enchantment might save more money than Mending does with thinker tech
here is a list of how long every weapon must be used for infinity to be literally worth its weight in gold
as in this is if Compendium demands the weight of the thing in gold to enchant them
M2 machine gun: 27 hours of continuous fire
Mk-19 grenade launcher: 16 hours
Stinger missile: 23 shots
Javelin missile : 16 shots
this probably saves more money than the tinker tech

Yeah going with this like the healing power but we don't have a attack increasing power yet besides the emergency power that takes our summons time they are out where as this one is a good generic one that's perfect for the Eva Zilla double team on the EBs.

We have so many healing options, we can just go to a hospitals, do a hand wave, and boom done. This is an over exaggeration, but we still have more healing options than most "Healing" Capes.

For senses on the summons we just got I just remembered how the Rachni kind of view voices as they describe as songs and color from the dialogue I remember from the Rachni Queen. No idea how that would translate but felt like it was something to bring up.

What's the situation there? Does the attacks have to be launched side by side or land at the exact same time? Do they get swirled in energy for a combo attack?

The attacks do not need to be perfectly simultaneous even anything less than a minute works. Distance does not matter, if a snipping creature and a tank are attacking the same target they both get the bonus.

Totem no because it doesn't count as a creature it can't equip anything. The Minecraft enchantment? Perhaps some of them, but with the sharply limited amount of the enchantment book and their random nature enchanting, even one AMIE is pretty far down the priority list.

Can we change the dimensions of said smart skin, because making it as thin as a human hair mean we can have 125cm thin silver line that cover the spine twice and makes it almost immune to cuts, or even thinner in a grid pattern, like a mixture of tattoos and ?
(that's not even counting that it's a 3d object with depth, but I assume there is a minimum thickness that smart skin needs to be for it to be used
I mean you don't need a full body of smart skin to have it usable, you just need a few strips of it and your golden (or should I say ...silver haha!))
Can we shrink ourselves, apply the smart skin, then turn large again?
Can we apply smart skin to other people like a tattoo?
Can we apply the smart skin to our summons?
Can we apply smart skin to leather, so we have thin, indestructible, silver tread?
Can we use prismatic shard for enchantment?

Dimension: No, it's already the minimum thickness for it to work.
Partial use: No, just because it's easier for me. That way Alex can't just churn out a brute parahuman every week.
Shrink: No. However, we could use the Big to enlarge it, the magical cost would be massive and constant. (And the receiver would find itself with flayed skin when the enlargement effect end.)
Tattoo: Yes, not sure why but sure.
Summon: It's a minor spoiler but yes, and once we accumulated enough I'll probably put it to a vote. It may be useful to turn a minor creature into a more useful one.
Leather: Yes, not sure it's the best way to use it but it could work.
No, because we don't have Cinder Shards.
Fortress items and elemental tools: No, we would need an infusion altar and access to Essentia, it's too advanced. But we can do normal Thaumium armor and other thaumium tools.
Of course, if their abilities are close enough. (Better hope that the Simurgh don't get hold of any.)

Shouldn't, they don't grow larger so much as it is a biomecha.
Probably for similar reasons one puts metal studded on a shield. When all you have is a little (or weight issues) a little strategic placement can help.
Say string if out then weave it into a net, then string it into a forearm guard. Catch melee attacks like a net.
Perhaps and underlayer for the invisibility cloak?
Can you pluck off the hairs to maximize yield? Or is it hairless?
Oh! Fire Rats from Inuyasha are in the CM right? Inuyasha has a whole robe made of it. Armor and fire protection. Just trawled the wiki for it. Apparently they were all murdered in the sequel if I understood it right.

may actually be useful to cover very tiny implants like bone vibration hearing aids, those do exist already

I could see the shard being more lenient and making the limb expand like a mecha shit expansion, which would be very cool
most of a tinkers time is spent making tools to make tools, with good mundane tools that cut a lot of time and frees up a good portion of their budget, since it's probably 80% materials 20% tools

Ok so apparently smart skin doesn't affect hair, despite affecting the fur of mickey, it also may not affect nails, it does however, affect eyeballs, but maybe it was just the artist not bothering with the detail
Apparently bulleteer can also fly(?), how is that getting handled?
Best places to use the 1cm² of smart skin:
eardrums (completely hidden and protects you from losing hearing, it also wouldn't stop the babel fish as it can work in multiple species and the skin is still somewhat allows for normal skin behavior)
toes (hidden mostly all the time and allow for truly devastating kicks, best kicker in American football was a guy without his toes)
eyelids (can maybe be passed off with a lot of makeup)
it would be amazing if it worked on weld, and great for case 53s, since they don't need to hide
I wonder if we will be able to turn people into creatures consensually, like turning case 53s into other things
for instance the rocacaca from jojo, it makes an equivalent exchange of your condition, which could mean changing your powers randomly or making all your changes happen to only one part of the body
there is also the "blessings of the earth" from jojo, which are kinda complicated

Would it be enough to change how Alex is using Howard in Contingent Summoning, like increasing the range of the detection he has for it to activate or will he switch him out for the bots instead?
Was in the middle of rereading the story when I saw the weapon form for Buoy, I forgot that weapons carry over the abilities of their creatures, and wanted to suggest the kunai being able to follow targets whose scent you have, like tying a strip of clothing or a rag around the handle and throwing it would have it making turns in midair to reach them, or even just giving it some chakra could do so instead.

Heh, it's confusing. It depends on the amplitude. If she uses her power enough to make them giant yes they turn into biomecha with the "real" dog in a pouch inside. However, if she only boosts a dog a little, like a 20% size increase it really does add mass to their body.
No, we don't have the fire rat, the only creature from Inuyasha in the CM is Kirara.
We don't need Lapis Lazuli, because we use books directly.
For now only Prismatic cloth with Prismatic shards.

The gems are single-use items, they're consumed when triggered. So full telepathy wouldn't be possible, a few seconds of deeper reading perhaps.

Saturday, 04/16/2011 (Afternoon)
When I opened my door I found a distraught-looking Elytra.
The teenage heroine was standing in front of me, hugging herself and looking extremely agitated. I could smell the acrid scent of tears. She was crying.
I spoke softly. "Elytra" I looked around, no one was in sight at either end of the corridor. "Taylor, what happened?"
She looked at me pleadingly, her breathing was ragged. "Please, please tell me you didn't know. I couldn't take it if you knew and didn't do anything." She choked out her words in between sniffles.
I was confused as heck but I did my best to only show a reassuring expression. "I don't know what you're talking about. Are you willing to come into my office to explain?" I kept my tone even and let her decide, pressuring her was out of the question.
Hesitantly she nodded. As gently as I could I directed her inside and guided her toward a chair. Instead of sitting behind my desk, I sat down on another chair in front of her. My psychology knowledge pointed out that putting a barrier between us would be a bad idea.
"Do you want something to drink? Water, juices, tea, coffee, chocolate?"
After taking a deep breath and removing her mask, revealing puffy red eyes, she responded. "Tea please."
I opt to speak out loud instead of using telepathy. "Olky could you bring a cup of tea for Taylor and a coffee for me."
He didn't respond but I knew that he heard me.
While we waited I remained silent, she'll need time to gather herself. In the meantime I observed her, I didn't need Hug's senses to see that she was depressed and confused. Her eyes were open but unseeing, she was reliving something.
The wait wasn't long, less than two minutes before Olky appeared with our drinks, Elf's magic at work no doubt. If Taylor realized the impossibility of making tea and coffee so fast she didn't comment on it.
She muttered a brief thank you to Olky when he handed her her tea and I did the same.
After taking a sip she looked at me. "You haven't asked me anything yet." Her tone was accusatory as if she expected me to be an enemy.
"Letting you compose yourself was the polite thing to do. I'm ready to listen if you are ready to talk." She calmed down at my words. "So what happened?"
The words came out of her mouth in a rush. "I was just leaving the gym. When I reached the lockers I saw…" the venom in her voice was positively dripping "Shadow Stalker, she was changing. She didn't see me and she removed her mask. And I recognize her! It was fucking Sophia!" That last word was a shout. I also realized that she just partially outed a Wards to me but now was not the time to address that point.
An angry buzzing sound was coming from under the armored panel of her costume. Briefly, I considered deploying my Calming Aura but Taylor would feel it and may take offense. As long as it was just buzzing it wasn't a problem.
She continued after striking the chair's armrest with her fist. "She can't be a hero! She can't be a hero, it's just not possible. This bitch isn't worthy of it. It can't be true." She shot me a pleading look. "Please tell me it's not true."
Before I could say anything she resumed crying and put her face in her hands.
Getting up I approach her and put my hand on her shoulder. I didn't try to hug her, that would be too forward.
Once she regained some calm I returned to my seat. "What did she do to you?"
The haunted look she gave was heartbreaking. "She caused my trigger event." Her voice was broken.
I didn't have one myself but I knew enough about the subject that white-hot rage coursed through my veins at the idea that a teenage girl could cause enough pain and misery to another one to make her trigger. Particularly coming from a Wards. I was under no illusion that all Protectorate Heroes and Wards were paragons of justice. Some may be in it just for the money without the hassle of being a Villain. Some may be reformed Villains even but causing a trigger event was akin to torture, it left behind psychological damage for life.
Haltingly, her story spilled out, interspersed with pauses and sobbing. How her best friend becomes her bully. How her promising school record was destroyed. How she became a pariah. And how a Ward trapped her in biological waste for hours, putting her in the hospital.
When her story ended she just looked tired. "I thought that I escaped them. That I could put all that behind me. The other Wards, apart from her, were all welcoming. They don't make fun of my lame power or my look. There's no obvious drama. My homeschooling is going great and next year I'll be in Arcadia. But no, she's there and once she learns my name she'll be poisoning that too."
Even though I really want to, I wasn't qualified to address her self-deprecating comments. In addition as a pseudo-superior officer and guy, it would be inappropriate to do so. I may have a few words with Hannah about it, however.
Instead, I choose to address the heart of the problem.
"Taylor, I can promise you one thing. I will investigate the matter. We will get to the bottom of this. And she will be punished for what she's done to you." I gave her my most sincere smile.
"You believe me?" The honest surprise in her voice only added fuel to my anger.
"Yes. I very much doubt that someone could make all that up and unless you're the best actress in the world your emotions only confirm it. Still in the interest of full disclosure, I will say that I also have a lie detection power."
"Oh, Okay." She paused before asking another question. "And you didn't know anything? About my…history with Sophia?"
I shake my head.
"Taylor, I joined the protectorate one month ago. You've been a parahuman longer than me. Until today you were the only Ward that I know the civilian name's off."
Her dumbstruck look was kind of funny but considering the situation, I refrain from laughing.
"Stupid!" She put her head in her hands. I heard her muttering to herself. "I should have realized that you couldn't have known about it."
"There's nothing stupid about that. You panicked and ran toward the first person you could think of. I'm even flattered that you thought of me."
She still appeared to be embarrassed by her action so I decided to change the subject.
"Now we need to decide where the responsibility concerning what happened to you lay."
"What do you mean? Sophia and Emma of course. Madison too."
"Yes, they're responsible for their own actions. But I mean among the PRT and the Protectorate. I don't know what level of scrutiny is exercised upon the civilian identity of the Wards. Are the professors informed of the presence of Wards in the school? The director? Is there a PRT agent covertly stationed in each school that a Ward attends?"
As I spoke she nodded along even if she didn't appear to like what she was hearing.
"So there's nothing we can do?"
"Oh, there's plenty we can do. As I said I will investigate the matter. This cannot be allowed to continue. For you, of course, you need some sort of closure and I can't imagine you working with Sophia every day as if nothing happened. But also to protect others. Now that you're not in Winslow anymore did they find another target?"
She made a face at that. "I didn't even think of that. Am I as selfish as them?"
I cut her off; "None of that. You weren't in any position to do anything. Wanting to help others is laudable but you must care for yourself before otherwise, you won't be able to help anyone." I felt like a preacher when saying that but it's something she needs to hear. It's something that I learned from Doctor Yamada.
Taylor looked relieved and gave me a timid smile.
"Now before we do anything you need to decide what you want to happen to her. As the victim, it's only normal for you to have some influence on the final decision. I can't make any guarantee that they'll be followed but I can at least make sure that they're heard."
At that, she adopted a thoughtful look.
While she was thinking I had a brief look at the power I gained during our discussion.
Simple and straightforward this one./When we attack the same target as our partners, or when our partners team up against the same target, we deal double damage./That's cool. But how does it work? I mean do we strike harder? Does the wound go deeper?/No idea, it just does.
I didn't dwell on that Taylor seems to have come to a decision.

Concerning Taylor's choice, obviously, neither Taylor nor Alex knows that Sophia is already on probation but her words will have some weight. (Mainly the weight of the most powerful Trump on the planet looking out for her.)
The next chapter will be a pseudo interlude in which Alex gains all the entries from One of Each.
